The Tour Operator was very pleasant and nice
5/5

The entire Tour was an amazing experience! From the bustling streets of Kigali to the Rainforest in the north to the many national parks of Uganda. Every corner of the Trip was full of life and warmth. I especially want to praise our Tour guide as he was very nice, welcoming and also very knowledgeable about the places we were visiting. All in all it was a great travel and the routes were perfectly picked. Would definitely recommend.

Once in a lifetime experience to see gorillas
5/5

We booked a 2 day Gorilla Tracking Tour from Kigali through Dav Safaris and had an excellent experience! Our agent, Reagan was organized and prompt with responding to our emails. On our tour, our driver Charles was very good and navigated bumpy and rough roads very well. We stayed overnight in Kisoro, and had an early morning drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to start our morning Gorilla Tracking. The park rangers brought our group of 8 on a 2.5 hour hike in the to track the current location of the Gorilla family; the terrain was bushy but not too steep. We would highly recommend Mgahinga as the one gorilla family there is large and social! We saw 3 silverbacks, several adult gorillas, one adolescent and one 2 month old gorilla. The animals are very gentle and came up very close to us. It was an unbelievable experience seeing these amazing animals only a few meters away. We spent 1 hour with the gorillas taking photos of every gorilla in the family. After the tracking hike we were driven back to Kigali.

If you are looking to see the gorillas in the wild, I would really recommend booking with Dav Safaris as they are very experienced and professional. It is less expensive to see the gorillas in Uganda, and flying into Kigali is the closest airport. Remember to get your e-visa for Uganda in advance.

Good value for memorable experiences.
5/5

Our experience with Dav Safari and our guide Solomon was absolutely incredible! From the moment we stepped into the safari vehicle, we felt safe, comfortable, and completely at ease. Solomon was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable — always ready to answer our questions and share fascinating insights about Uganda’s wildlife, culture, and landscapes.

Throughout our Uganda safari tour, Solomon made sure we were well taken care of, and by the end of our trip, we truly considered him a friend. He’s professional, funny, and relatable — the perfect mix for a guide. We’d highly recommend Dav Safari and especially Solomon to anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free gorilla trekking experience in Uganda.

The highlight of our trip was, of course, the unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, but what made it even better was sharing it with such a fantastic guide. The memories of seeing the gorillas up close are ones we’ll cherish forever — along with all the great conversations and laughs with Solomon along the way.

A quick travel tip: if you’re visiting Uganda from the U.S. or other countries, make sure to apply for your Uganda visa at least a week in advance. Don’t wait until the last minute — it’ll save you a lot of stress and help you start your safari adventure worry-free!

One note: the roads in Uganda can be a bit bumpy, but that’s part of the adventure — and we always felt completely safe with Solomon driving.

If you’re planning a Uganda safari tour, gorilla trek, or wildlife adventure, book with Dav Safari and ask for Solomon — you won’t regret it!

Everything was perfectly planned to live an amazing experience
5/5

We would repeat again and again with Dav Safaris and overall with Richard our guide/driver that he did everything he could for us to have the best experience. We did not have to worry about anything since we arrived at the airport. All the lodges were a succesfull recommendation. All were charming, cleaned and with good food. Chimpancé tracking and gorilla trekking are a must!!! Thanks to Richard for being so kind, a great trip companion and always ready to adapt the agenda to our needs

Excellent safari tour of Murchison Falls National Park
5/5

I had a wonderful private safari tour of Murchison Falls NP. Dav Safari was very professional and prompt with communication prior the safari. It was quite easy to provide the $200 deposit and then pay the rest with a combination of cash and card on arrival.

My safari guide, Julius, was amazing. He had reached out to my hotel and even met me in person on the night prior to the safari just to introduce himself and give a short briefing. Julius was so friendly and knowledgeable. It felt like he knew everyone along the different sites that we visited. I got to know about life in Uganda from our many conversations during the long drives. He is also a very safe driver, and the safari vehicle was very comfortable.

Julius always tried to make sure I had the best experience, whether it was showing me the best places to stand to capture the majestic rhinos at Ziwa Sanctuary, getting me the first choice of seating on the Nile River cruise, or taking pictures of me at the top of the falls while we were getting soaking wet. In the safari game drives themselves, Julius had this incredible eye for catching the best of the park. Not only is his vision insanely good, because he also has so many friends among the other tour guides, we were able to see some of the rarest things in the park.

The accommodation that we stayed at (Nkundwa Nile View Lodge) was also wonderful. Lovely rooms with a hot shower and beautiful view of the Nile. Attentive staff including escorts at night with flashlights that walk you to your room.

I highly recommend Dav Safaris and Julius to anyone interested in going to a safari at Murchison Falls NP!

The guide exceeded my expectations
5/5

Incredible experience in Uganda and i think 90% of that was due to Julius the guide for the trip. I think he knows half of Uganda and the other half he's getting to know. He went beyond his role and taught me so much about the local cultures, the numerous languages (over 50 i think) and even taught me several phrases in Luganda (the most widely spoken language in Uganda). The safaris, chimps and gorillas were incredible and the boat trips and accommodation were all very nice too.

5/5

We booked a 4-day tour with Dav safaris, start and end in Kigali (Rwanda), visiting the gorilla's in the Mgahinga gorilla National Park in Uganda, the equator in Uganda and a perfect stay on the Itambira island on lake Bunyonyi. The driver Charles did a perfect job, he is very friendly and helpfull and knows the interesting places where to go. Everything we asked is worked out fine! Thanks to Rigan and Charles.
