Exceptional level of detail and amazing experience
From the start, Lucy provided detail and responded very quickly. Her professionalism was exception and she met all my requirements without delay.
My guide, Moses was super friendly and knowledgeable, even about bless. He drove safely and made sure we were also happy and confortable.
I stayed d at Jambo Mara in the glass rooms. The rooms exceeded expectations, the pool was a welcome cool down in the afternoons, the food was delicious (thanks Chef Nelson and team) and the staff very friendly!
Make sure you have cash for buying curios and the visit to the Masai village. The hotels and curio shops accept cards.
Really fantastic service and definitely won't hesitate to join Lucy and get team again!

Absolutely amazing from top to bottom
I cannot overstate how amazing Savannah Tours were for our Masai Mara 3 day tour from Nairobi. Lucy, one of the marketing managers/tour coordinators helped me nonstop and was in constant contact via WhatsApp. She, William, Stanley (our drivers) and of course Alex our tour guide were just amazing. So helpful, so friendly. Everything went off perfectly without a hitch.
I booked the tour with Sopa Lodge accomodation which I could not recommend more. The service, food and lodgings at the Lodge were truly 5 stars - western 5 star standards. There was an incredible buffet for lunch, breakfast and dinner and even a mini buffet for tea. The food was outstanding - so fresh, so much flavour and so many varieties. They even had cheese and dessert stations!
The Lodge itself is one of only a few lodges adjacent to the Reserve and had the real African authentic feel. The service people there were out of this world - never had better service in my life and I have travelled all over the world.
The safari! Just insane. Alex our guide was so accomodating and warm, punctual and just the best. We saw so much wildlife even in the 2 hours in the late afternoon on the first day - not even the main day! Zebra, lions, leopard, cheetah, elephants, giraffes, hippos and so much more. Of course the full day the next day you see so much and are very close to the animals.
Then finally on the last day we visited the Masai village to see how they live, eat, dance and create. We joined in a traditional dance and learned a lot. It was a very authentic experience.
I would recommend ensuring you have enough cash for tips and purchases as the Masai create wonderful artwork, wood carvings, jewellery and blankets. Just be prepared that as a westerner I definitely felt the perception that we had a ton of money and could just buy and buy and buy. That said, this is a great way to give back and allow Kenya’s economy to flourish.
I could not recommend this tour more, especially for the price. This was also my first time in Africa and of course Kenya and was an experience I will never forget. I will definitely come back!

Professional, responsive and considerate
I had a fantastic Safari in Masai Mara thanks to Lucy and the team. Lucy was extremely professional, responsive and considerate. Moreover, Lucy went extra miles to help answer and plan my time in Nairobi, even thought I booked only the Masai Mara activities. Our game drive to Masai Mara was very friendly and knowledgeable, through whom we learnt a lot about Kenya and Masai Mara. Last but not least, the Safari quote was detailed, straightforward and its pricing was fair (in my point of view) and transparent. I highly recommend Savannah Woods Safari if you’re new to Kenya and/or Safari.

Very well organized safari and Musa is the best!
We had a private safari booked with 4 people for 3 days. The communication upfront with Lucy was excellent. She reacted very fast and to the point on all questions. The lodge where we stayed was great: very clean, luxurious and very good food, friendly people. Our guide Musa was the best! Experienced, knowing all people and places to go to, we spotted a lot of wildlife, and a very good driver. Overall we had a great experience!

The best safari I’ve ever been!
Highly recommend the savannah wood company, the best safari I’ve ever been. The driver was very dedicated to his job and showed us so many animals from very close distance. He had a huge knowlende about Masai Mara National Park. The best time I’ve ever spent! Hope to be back again!

Perfect experience!
Everything went perfect with Savannah Woods Safaris. The communication upfront with Lucy gave you a good and safe feeling about traveling to Africa for the first time. Going on safari with the best guide and National park expert Patrick was simply stunning. We saw every animal we wanted to see and upclose enough to get a glimpse of these amazing creatures. Patrick was very knowledgeable, he shared with us useful information in regards to the animals and the parkin general. The safari was satisfying as we couldn't ask for more.
