Excellent 7-days Safari Experience with Serengeti Smile
When we decided to travel to Tanzania, we reached out to several safari agencies to compare our options. From our very first interaction with Serengeti Smile, we knew we had found the right team.
From the initial planning stages to the very end of our trip, everything was organized flawlessly. Before booking, Piniel took the time to present different itinerary options and patiently adjusted them several times to match our preferences and needs. Once the trip was confirmed, all information was communicated clearly and in great detail, giving us complete confidence before departure.
The experience itself exceeded all expectations. The accommodations were of excellent quality throughout the journey, and every aspect of the trip ran smoothly.
A special thank you goes to our guide and driver, Edward, who truly made the experience unforgettable. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and shared an incredible wealth of knowledge about Tanzania's wildlife, landscapes, history, and culture. His passion and expertise brought every day of the safari to life.
Unfortunately, during our trip we experienced a family emergency that required us to return to Italy two days earlier than planned. Despite the unexpected change, the Serengeti Smile team quickly adapted the itinerary to make sure we didn't miss any of the highlights. Their flexibility, care, and professionalism during a stressful situation meant a great deal to us.

The Real King of the Savannah: Edward!
Edward was absolutely amazing and made our Tanzania safari an unforgettable experience.
He was our driver and guide for five days, and from the very beginning he went above and beyond to make sure every request from our family was fulfilled. He took us to so many incredible places and was always flexible, kind, and professional.
Edward wasn’t just a driver—he was an exceptional guide. He explained the wildlife in great detail, taught us about the different ecosystems, and helped us understand everything we were seeing. Thanks to his incredible knowledge, we didn’t just see animals; we truly experienced the beauty of Tanzania. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five, along with countless other fascinating animals.
Our original trip was supposed to last seven days, but due to an unexpected family emergency, we had to cut it short to only five. Even with this last-minute change, Edward didn’t hesitate to help us. He drove for 14 hours from North Serengeti all the way to Kilimanjaro Airport to make sure we could catch our flight and get home safely. We will never forget that kindness and dedication.
People say the lion is the king of the savannah, but after spending five days with him, we’re convinced the real king of the savannah is Edward.
Thank you, Edward, for everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, and we highly recommend him to anyone visiting Tanzania.

Excellent Planning and Capable Guide for the Great Migration
We fulfilled one of our bucket list items of getting to the Serengeti to watch the Great Wildebeast Migration. After careful Analysis of the top safari firms, I went with Safari Smiles due in part to the excellent planning and responsiveness from Frederick. He took care of all of my requests in a timely manner and was instrumental in me picking them for our Safari. Following that we hit the jackpot with our :guide Dominician - He was patient, knew all of the trails and was able to get us front row seats to a amazing river crossing, topped it off on Day 2 and 3 with Lion, leopard and cheetah sightings - multi times and within couple of feet..
excellent value for the money we paid to stay in the camp recommended by Frederick close to the :Grumati river..

Unforgettable
Serengeti Smile deserves nothing less than 5 stars for our amazing safari experience in Tanzania. From start to finish, everything was smooth, well-organized, and truly unforgettable.
Our guide, Barnaba, was fantastic. He was funny and entertaining, but also very detailed in his explanations about the animals, the landscape, and local culture, which made every game drive so much more interesting. Thanks to him, we were able to see so many animals, including all of the “Big 5,” and he always seemed to know exactly where to go for the best sightings while keeping us safe and comfortable.
Francisca, who handled our enquiries and arrangements, was equally impressive. She replied instantly to our questions, was very helpful with planning and logistics, and always communicated in a friendly and professional way that gave us a lot of confidence before and during the trip.
Overall, Serengeti Smile, with Barnaba as our guide and Francisca supporting from the office, gave us a safari experience that exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Tanzania.

Flexible, accommodating. Professional, and friendly.
Choosing Serengeti Smile was the right decision. They were flexible and accommodating in helping to design the type of trip and vacation we wanted.
The lodging accommodations, were excellent in all of our locations. transportation was easy.
Our guide, Libe, was excellent. He was a great driver , was very knowledgeable on where to go to see the most wildlife, and was very friendly and professional. We saw the Big 5 plus many more animals.
I would highly recommend Libe to anyone wanting to do a safari in the Serengeti or surrounding parks.

Knowledgeable, friendly, professional , accommodating, and a perfect blend of adventure and fun.
We had Libe as our guide and he was exceptional. We would recommend him and Serengeti Smiles to anyone traveling to Tanzania. Our trip was designed specifically for us and we loved all parts of it. We especially loved traveling around the Serengeti and hunting with the Hadzabe. On safari we saw the big 5 in one day (rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard) and even got to see lions hunting up close. This was a very memorable trip and we would definitely come back again.

Amazing!
We had an amazing safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro! Our guide Barnaba showed us the best spots of those regions. He knows a lot about the areas + the animals and that made the overall experience very pleasant. We managed to see the big 5 and lots of other cool animals. The lodges where we stayed at during the nights were also good! All in all it was an amazing experience and I can highly recommend it!

Fantastic Safari Adventure combined with Warm, Welcoming Camps!
Serengeti Smile organised a fantastic Safari for our family. The service from Piniel was exceptional, ensuring we had a tailored experience, and so quick to reply to my many questions. We spoke so often he feels like family
Our driver Deo was incredible, so knowledgeable about the animals, birds and wildlife. And with good humour!
Our trip took us from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro, Southern, Central and Western Serengeti and finally to Northern Serengeti.
We saw the great migration (a once in a lifetime experience), wildebeest for miles and miles, lions, leopards, cheetah, cerval cat, hippo, zebra, elephant, hyena, jackal mongoose. We did a full A-Z on Safari.
There were so many highlights, I loved the elephants, we saw lions hunting, lion cubs, baby elephants, baby hippo, baby zebra.
The accommodation and food was excellent. Camps with wonderful views, each unique, and always a warm welcome, delicious food and excellent service.
There were so many good meals and each venue had its own distinctive character.
We have seen sunsets, sunrise, had hot baths and showers throughout our trip.
The welcome and entertainment at the Northern Serengeti Migration camp was our favourite. Singing, laughter and a few good surprises!
If you want a beautiful bespoke holiday that becomes a trip of a lifetime, then I highly recommend Serengeti Smile, Piniel (agent) and Deo (safari guide).

Helpful and knowledgeable communication before our trip and during.
Had anamzing time on this safari with my family and our wonderful guide Deo. He was passionate and knowledgable about all of the animals and the maze of trails through all the national parks. It was definately a experience i would love to do again sometime. Everthing was well organised and seamless before and throughout our trip.

Knowledgeable, Safe, a friend wanting our African adventure to be better than our dreams!
My husband organised and planned our African adventure through Serengeti Smile, we have been spoilt and enjoyed every moment!! If you're lucky enough to have Domi as your guide, you're in for the safari of a lifetime.
Domi collected our family of four (2 adults and 2 older teenagers) from our hotel in Arusha and guided us through four incredible national parks – Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in safe hands. He welcomed us with beautiful beaded bracelets, which was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the whole trip.
Domi is everything you could hope for in a safari guide. His English is excellent, he's incredibly knowledgeable and he struck the perfect balance between sharing fascinating information and giving us the quiet space to simply enjoy the wildlife and take photographs. He always welcomed our questions and genuinely wanted to know what we hoped to see so he could tailor each day's adventure around us, but wasnt ever pushy !! After seeing beautiful elephants, our daughter turned to us and said, "I just want to see a crocodile now and I'm all done.." kind of in gest.. but sure enough, the afternoon he found a crocodile!! Needless to say it had her smiling like 🐊!!
His driving skills were outstanding. We always felt completely safe, even on some very challenging roads and his experience meant we were consistently in the best position to see the animals up close without ever feeling rushed or intrusive.
Thanks to Domi, we saw every one of the Big Five, the Ugly Five as well as some of the Small Five along with countless other unforgettable sightings. Just when we thought the day was over and we were heading back, he'd somehow spot a serval, a family of warthogs, or a hornbill we'd have otherwise missed. His eyesight and instinct for finding wildlife are nothing short of remarkable!
The jeep was always stocked with cold water, Coke and other drinks, which was hugely appreciated, especially after long game drives.
We also really enjoyed spending time together over meals, particularly at Serengeti Classic View Lodge, where it was a pleasure to get to know him better. His company was warm, friendly and professional throughout, and by the end of the trip he felt like much more than just our guide.
I'll be writing a separate review for Serengeti Smile because we've been so impressed with the company from start to finish, but Domi absolutely deserved a special review of his own.
He played such a huge part in making this one of the most memorable holidays we've ever had.
