Splendid Vacations: A Memorable East African Safari Experience
We had a wonderful safari experience, thanks to Sammy from Splendid Vacations, who made excellent arrangements throughout our trip. All the hotels were clean, comfortable, and well located.
Our guide in Kenya, Gabriel, was excellent at spotting wildlife and ensuring we got great views for photographs. He was patient and accommodating when we were delayed in leaving the hotels, especially considering that we were travelling with my elderly father. His driving was also very good.
In Tanzania, our guide, Martin, shared in-depth knowledge about wildlife and nature. He was particularly good at spotting animals, even from a great distance. However, we were disappointed that the cultural tour we had been looking forward to was skipped, and that we were left at the Kenya border.
The food was good at almost all the hotels, except for our last stay at Farm of Dreams Lodge. Although the property looked beautiful and was well maintained, the food quality was below our expectations.
Overall, we had a memorable safari experience, and we appreciate Sammy's efforts in organising the trip. With better coordination regarding the cultural tour and improved food quality at the final lodge, the experience would have been even better.

Unforgettable Kenya Safari
We travelled to Kenya in October 2026 with Splendid Vacations, and we are so glad we chose them. With so many travel agencies and safari options to choose from, we were initially unsure who to book with—but Splendid made the entire experience easy, organized, and truly memorable.
From the very beginning, the planning process was seamless. We worked with Janet, who patiently went back and forth with us many times as we tweaked and refined our itinerary until it was exactly what we wanted. Booking was simple, communication was always easy, and we felt well supported every step of the way.
Once we landed, someone was there to pick us up and get our safari started without any stress. Our driver, Mwololo, was great too. He took excellent care of us, drove safely to every destination, and made each game drive special. He always seemed to find the animals we were hoping to see and made sure we got to the front of the jeeps for the best possible views.
There was one small hiccup where something was not communicated as clearly as it should have been, but everyone was very apologetic and quickly worked to fix the situation. Honestly, the outcome ended up being even better than what we had originally planned.
Overall, it was a wonderful trip. We would absolutely recommend Splendid Vacations to anyone planning a safari in Kenya!

Unforgettable 5-day safari! Splendid Vacations delivered a seamless and breathtaking experience from start to finish. Our accommodations in the Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha were incredible, offering spectacular views and world-class wildlife right at our doorstep.

Huge thanks as well to our phenomenal guide, Mr. Stephen Mwololo, whose expert tracking, deep knowledge of the wilderness, and eagle-eyed spotting made every game drive an absolute thrill.

Amazing Safari Experience with Splendid Vacation!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Splendid Vacation during our safari in Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru!
From the beginning, Brenda was extremely professional, helpful, and responsive. She made the entire planning process smooth and easy, always answering our questions and ensuring everything was well organized.
A very special thank you to our amazing guide, James, who truly made our safari unforgettable! His knowledge of wildlife, professionalism, kindness, and passion for his work were outstanding. Thanks to his experience and dedication, we were able to see the Big Five, the Ugly Five, and many other incredible animals.

The Tour Operator to go with for an unforgettable experience!
Our family of three recently returned from a wonderful four-day, three-night private safari with Splendid Vacations, exploring Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Rachael made the arrangements feel easy from the outset, taking care of the planning details and ensuring we felt well supported, not only before the trip began, but also while we were on safari. Our guide, Julius (who we affectionally called, Dusty!), was an excellent driver with a great sense of humour. He readily answered our questions and was clearly committed to helping us have the best possible experience. His patience, and ours, paid off when we got to see the wildebeest crossing at the Mara River! His thoughtful service extended beyond the game drives: on our final night, he helped arrange a special birthday celebration for a member of our party, creating a memorable finish to the safari. We appreciated the care that went into every part of our journey and would gladly recommend Splendid Vacations, and especially Julius, to anyone planning a Kenyan safari!

A wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience!
We had an absolutely incredible safari experience with Splendid Vacations, and every detail from start to finish was handled with the utmost care.
Working with Dennis to plan our itinerary was a pleasure. He paid incredible attention to detail, was extremely quick to reply, and answered all our questions thoroughly throughout the planning process. His expertise made us feel completely prepared and confident leading up to the trip.
From our initial pick-up in Nairobi to our final drop-off, the service was seamless and stress-free. Our driver and guide, Timothy, was exceptional. Not only was he a knowledgeable and engaging guide, but he was also a fantastic driver. We always felt completely safe with him—he was especially mindful and always made sure we were securely seated before moving during game drives. Timothy was very knowledgeable with his years of experience. We had many questions throughout the safari and he was able to answer them all. We were able to get amazing pictures and Timothy always had a great suggestion or shot in mind.
Every camp and lodge we selected was amazing. The facilities were beautiful, the accommodations were comfortable, and the food throughout the trip was outstanding.
If you are looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and well-organized travel agency for your safari, we cannot recommend Splendid Vacations (and Dennis and Timothy!) highly enough. We would definitely book with them again!

Extremely pleasant experience
Had a very pleasant experience with splendid vacations. From the get go Alice was extremely prompt with providing tailored quotes that suited our wants/needs for the safari. She answered all questions in a timely manner and was very helpful. Our guide and driver, Gabriel was lovely. He has fantastic knowledge about all the animals in various parks/reserves and answered any and all of our questions thoroughly. He looked after us extremely well whilst on safari, ensuring we had an amazing time and was a great driver, navigating tricky terrain to ensure we got the best photographs. Would highly recommend splendid vacations.

We booked our 10-day Kenya-Tanzania round trip safari nearly half a year in advance. Our consultant, Alice, was exceptionally professional and thoughtful. She provided us with a detailed itinerary and was always quick and helpful in answering all our questions. She also kindly arranged our airport transfers.

During our trip, our guide in Kenya, Rono, was passionate, highly experienced, and amazingly knowledgeable. He could identify individual animals and knew their family background! In Maasai Mara, we were lucky enough to witness amazing wildlife interactions—buffalos chasing lions, as well as a cheetah and a lion hunting gazelles, along with so many other wild animals. In Amboseli, we were treated to a clear view of the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro and had the privilege of meeting Michael, the famous 35-year-old elephant. The entire experience was truly incredible and unforgettable!
Besides, we spent a memorable time in Tanzania with our guide, Abu. Although the road conditions in Tanzania were quite bumpy and dusty, and our jeep got two flat tires along the way, Abu handled everything quickly and efficiently. We successfully collected all Big Five in Ngorongoro Crater, perfect!
Overall, it was such a splendid and refreshing experience for us. We hope to come back again in the future!

Jackson was our Tanzania guide! He was amazing and truly one of the highlights of our Tanzania safari! He was friendly, professional and incredibly proactive throughout the trip.
You can really tell that he loves what he does.
He was always attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. He also shared so much knowledge with us about the animals, the safari and the environment, which made the experience even more meaningful and enjoyable.

Great Experience for Chinese Travelers
Among the many quotes from different travel agencies, we chose Splendid Vacation because Brenda's quote was very carefully prepared and the communication was very smooth. After landing, the guide Tim and Brenda picked us up together at the airport. From the very first day, we could feel that Tim's driving skills were superb—he was overtaking cars the whole time. Throughout the entire safari, Tim's driving skills were also outstanding, and he was very patient, taking us to see so many animals. In less than four days, we had already seen all of the Big Five and the Ugly Five. The overall experience was great! There's no problem for Chinese people to choose them either!
