Professional, kind and enthusiastic, wonderful trip!
Going on an African safari has long been a dream of mine, and I’m so grateful to Loren African Safaris for making our trip absolutely perfect! It is a small operator, yet incredibly professional with outstanding service.
Before the trip
Burdened with a busy work schedule, I had little time to plan our itinerary. I researched and reached out to several tour agencies, and Loren was among the quickest to reply. Beyond their fast response, their carefully crafted itinerary was another major reason I chose them. As first-time visitors to Africa, we had no clear picture of where Tanzania’s main national parks lie or what a safari experience entails. Loren’s itinerary came complete with safari route maps, plus daily highlights: the key wildlife we could expect to see and details of our accommodation each night. Everything was laid out clearly at a glance. Trust me, it’s hard not to be impressed by such thoughtful planning. On pricing, Loren provided a detailed breakdown of every item and offered discounts where possible. This transparent discount structure inspired far more confidence in their professionalism than random haggling.
During the trip
We were incredibly lucky to have two guides, Elly and Ally. Elly took us to visit Serval Wildlife on our first day and dropped us off at the airport on our final day. We enjoyed great conversations with him and gained insight into Tanzania, its culture and local customs — a wonderful start and end to our journey. Ally was our safari guide. Friendly, polite and witty, he boasts extensive knowledge of wildlife. He understands animal behaviors deeply, spots wildlife quickly and explains everything to us in vivid ways. He also took us to lesser-visited parts of the Serengeti, showcasing unique landscapes few tourists get to see. Even better, instead of sticking rigidly to a preset schedule, Ally checked in with us in advance to learn what animals we most wanted to see and how we preferred to structure our day, adjusting plans according to our wishes. Under his guidance, we spotted the Big Five and many other species. We witnessed multiple wildebeest river crossings and watched five male lions feeding on a wildebeest up close — an unforgettable experience. The roads inside the national parks are rough and bumpy, but Ally is an excellent driver. He could rush to wildlife sightings promptly while keeping the ride as smooth as possible on regular tracks. Beyond wildlife watching, we talked a lot about culture and economics, deepening our understanding of each other’s countries and enriching our trip. As for meals and accommodation: the picnic hampers were far tastier than standard lunch boxes, and our lodges and camps were excellent.
After the trip
On our final day, flying from Kilimanjaro to Dar es Salaam, Air Tanzania made an unexpected flight adjustment which landed us in trouble. We had connecting international flights afterwards and were extremely anxious. Even though this issue was caused by the airline, Loren stayed in contact with the carrier and worked hard to resolve the situation. We managed to catch our flight that evening without missing our international connection, bringing our safari adventure to a flawless close.
This was our family’s first visit to Africa, and certainly not my last. Should I return to Africa in the future, Loren African Safaris will be my first choice.

Unforgettable 6-Day Safari - Camping in the Serengeti was pure magic!
We did a 6-day safari with Loren African Safaris starting August 22, 2026, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime.
From the beginning, communication with Loren/Ben was flawless. Super responsive on WhatsApp, clear itinerary, fair price with no hidden fees, and everything was tailored exactly to what we wanted.
Our itinerary was Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and a visit to a Maasai village. The highlight was camping overnight in the Serengeti.
Our guide Ally was AWESOME. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about what he does. He has an eagle eye for spotting animals we would have never seen on our own, knew all the best routes and photographic angles, and is an excellent, safe driver. He explained everything about the wildlife, birds, and culture and answered all our questions patiently. You can tell he genuinely loves his job.
The moment that stood out for us was camping in the Serengeti. I was NOT expecting to actually see and hear wild animals right outside our tent at night — elephants, warthogs, and even a lion! It was thrilling, a little scary, and absolutely unforgettable. Hearing lions and hyenas at night while safe in camp is something I will never forget.
The safari vehicle was clean and comfortable with a pop-up roof, charging ports, and a fridge. The food and accommodation were excellent throughout.
Loren African Safaris is a local Tanzanian company and you really feel the difference — personal, caring, and they go the extra mile. They took care of everything from start to finish so we could just enjoy the magic.
I highly recommend Loren African Safaris to anyone going to Tanzania, and if you can, ask for Ally. Asante sana to the whole team — we will definitely be back!

When we booked, we thought the consistently excellent reviews were too good to be true, but now we know why Loren African Safaris has nothing but 5-star ratings. Even before the safari began, Loren patiently and promptly answered all our questions and flexibly accommodated all our requests for changes. The organization was perfect, and everything ran smoothly on-site. A special thank you goes to our driver and safari guide, Mecky, who always went out of his way to give us the best experiences and was also very pleasant and fun to be around. No distance was too far for him to take us to see the animals. We already miss him and would rate him a 12 out of 10. Overall, we had an unforgettable week on safari and can wholeheartedly recommend Loren African Safaris and Mecky. Thank you very much!

We traveled to Tanzania with Ali as our tour guide in 2022; Ali now works for Loren African Safari. Based on our excellent experience, we booked our Kenya trip in August 2026 through Loren African Safari as well. The organization of the 8-day safari was outstanding. We received helpful tips, suggestions, and information, and with Loren African Safari's assistance, we were able to create our own personalized itinerary. Communication was always quick, friendly, and accommodating. The safari itself (including all hotel reservations and excursions) ran flawlessly; it was a fantastic trip! Furthermore, at our request, they even helped us purchase train tickets beforehand, which wasn't their responsibility at all (thank you again!). I can wholeheartedly recommend Loren African Safari – we would only book our next African trip with them.

Amazing first trip to Africa!
We visited Kenya/Tanzania during August 2026. Right from the beginning, Ben and his team ensured that the itinerary was meeting our needs and replied patiently to every single question. The guides, Edward (Kenya) and Ally (Tanzania) were knowledgeable and ensured that we were able to see the big 5 during our stay. Ally particularly went above and beyond; there were some challenges we encountered but Ally ensured that everything was taken care and did not disrupt our trip or schedule. Both the guides shared their knowledge of the place, culture and wildlife and the kids thoroughly enjoyed their company. Thank Ben and Team for providing a truly memorable first trip to Africa!

wonderful safari experience
We had an absolutely wonderful safari experience with Loren African Safaris and would highly recommend them!
From the very beginning, everything was well organised and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire safari. A very special thank you goes to our guide, Macy, who made these four days truly unforgettable.
Macy is an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide. He knew so much about the animals, nature and the different national parks, and was always happy to explain what we were seeing and answer all our questions. He also seemed to know exactly where to go to give us the best chance of seeing the wildlife. Thanks to him, we had some amazing encounters and were even able to see the Big Five!
What we appreciated just as much was the way he treated our family. He was patient, kind and especially wonderful with our children. He always made sure everyone was comfortable, involved and enjoying the experience. We never felt rushed and always felt completely safe with him, both during the game drives and while travelling between the parks.
The whole safari was very well organised, from the accommodations and meals to the game drives and transportation. We could simply relax and enjoy the experience because everything was taken care of for us.
Our safari through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania and an experience our family will never forget.

Responsive, accommodating, professional.
We had a magical 10-day Kenya & Tanzania safari with Loren Safari, covering the Masai Mara, Northern and Central Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. From planning to the final day, everything was smooth and incredibly well organized.
Benjamin, the owner, was super responsive, flexible, and accommodating, and made it easy to tailor the trip to our needs.
Ally, our guide for 6 days in Tanzania, was professional, kind, friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable about wildlife, birds, and the ecosystem. His wildlife expertise and passion really stood out. He also kept the jeep spotless and had water ready for us every morning—a small detail that showed how much he cared about our experience.
Edward, our Masai Mara guide, was dynamic, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. Being Maasai himself and a former ranger, he knows the Mara inside out and has wonderful local connections.
We would highly recommend Loren Safari. If your budget allows, consider flying between parks—the roads can be very dusty and bumpy. Our 5–6 hour drives were still manageable, though, and definitely part of the adventure!

Each of you carried incredibly heavy loads, some up to 30 kg, and somehow you still managed to climb ahead of us, set up our tents, prepare everything, and have our meals ready when we arrived. The strength, dedication, and hard work you put in every single day were beyond my comprehension.
You carried much more than our belongings — you carried a huge part of our dream of reaching the summit.
