Professional, detail oriented and excellent communication.
Compass Odyssey was great with communications. Darren answered all questions promptly before our trip, checked in with us during our trip and followed up with us after our trip as well. The accommodations that they recommended were fantastic, especially Batonka Lodge. We were very happy with our tour operators in Zimbabwe, Ruth and Mortimer. Ruth and Mortimer were prompt and flexible in all our arrangements. They made us feel welcome in Victoria Falls and helped make arrangements during our stay there seamless. When one of our group members had a fall during our stay, Ruth drove us to a medical clinic late in the evening and made sure we were looked after. Ruth also followed up with us after our trip to make sure we returned safely. We especially enjoyed our tour of Victoria Falls with ranger Baks, who was knowledgeable and friendly. Our stay in Chobe at the Garden lodge was also enjoyable. The food was incredible, the staff friendly and our safari guide was also knowledgeable.

First class experience that didnt break the bank
This was a fabulous trip organised by Darren and Kate. Everything far exceeded expectations. The accommodation, organisation, guides, food was excellent and we have met so many wonderful people. We will definately use Compass Odyssey again and hopefully very soon!

Excellent service from start to finish
We have just returned from an amazing trip to South Africa, Victoria Falls and Chobe Safari in Botswana travelling as 2 couples. The communication from Darren to myself when organising the trip was spot on and he always replied immediately to any emails I had sent. Darren provided lots of information on the areas we visited and was more than helpful with his recommendations to make sure we had a fantastic time. All in all an excellent company which I will definitely use on our next trip to Africa that hopefully won’t be too long away!

Excellent from start to finish! Highly responsive, knowledgable & personal service.
We couldn’t have chosen better than Compass Odyssey for our first ever safari in Southern Africa. Communication was excellent and personal, from fast replies to our initial enquiry/questions to messages we received during and after our safari.
The 3 accommodations on our trip were all beautiful, with wonderful food. All of the guides/rangers were knowledgable, friendly and enthusiastic, we felt truly welcomed everywhere we went.
The itinerary Darren put together for us offered a great variety of sights and sounds, we felt that we did so much in just a few days whilst still have the flexibility to rest during the heat of the day - perfect balance for us.
As well as the safari experiences in Chobe, we would definitely recommend taking the “Tour of the township” if you’re visiting Victoria Falls (to get a glimpse of real life in Zimbabwe) and of course the walking tour to see White Rhino at the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park which was a fabulous, once in a lifetime experience.
An amazing week, our expectations were exceeded all the way and we can’t wait to return - without question, Compass Odyssey will be our first choice for the next adventure! Thank you Darren & Kate x

Twice perfect. Second trip to Africa with perfect accommodations.
The communication from Darren and crew is probably the best part of my experience. (No, my safari at Senalala in SA was the best part.)Even while I'm on holiday he is available and standing by. We toured in 4 countries over two weeks and our transfers, accommodations and experiences were all top notch. I highly recommend Compass Odyssey to all! This was my second trip to Africa, both planned and scheduled by Compass, and everything was flawless. I hope visit Morocco some day and will be calling Compass for that trip too.

Great operators with superb communication throughout the process! Amazing trip.
Planning a safari can be a daunting task, especially for the first time. Darren and Compass Odyssey made this an easy process. Communication was fantastic throughout the whole process. We were able to make changes simply as our schedule changed. I'm a hands on person and like to plan each detail, so for me, leaving this up to someone else was a bit tough. I couldn't have been happier with the results and would recommend them to any traveler looking to go on safari. We can't wait to come back!
