An Exceptional Gorilla Safari with an Outstanding Guide!
We had an outstanding three-day gorilla safari with Next Gen Safaris, departing from Kigali. Our guide, Renatus, was exceptional. His local knowledge, warmth and genuine care for his guests made all the difference. We felt completely safe and well looked after throughout. Unforgettable Safari Experience with Flawless Organization and Exceptional Care!
We had an absolutely incredible safari experience with Nextgen Safaris!
From the very beginning, organizing the trip with Benald was effortless. His communication was super efficient, clear, and prompt, ensuring every detail of our itinerary was well planned.
Our guide, Pilot, was phenomenal throughout the entire trip. He was caring, super helpful, highly informative, and extremely attentive to all our needs. He seamlessly handled lodge check-ins, trek logistics, and hiring porters for our hikes. When one of us wasn't feeling well, Pilot went above and beyond by helping us arrange medicine—we felt so safe and looked after the whole time.
Our itinerary was perfectly executed and filled with unforgettable highlights:
Day 1: picked up in Kigali and transferred smoothly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 2: An incredible Mountain Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi.
Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking in Mgahinga National Park, followed by a transfer to Kisoro.
Day 4: A scenic drive from Kisoro to Kibale National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, along with a fantastic community visit where we got to experience a local coffee plantation and banana alcohol making.
Day 6: Smooth transfer back to Kampala.
Every moment of the trip exceeded our expectations.
We cannot thank Benald and Pilot enough for making this trip so seamless and memorable. We highly recommend Nextgen Safaris to anyone looking to explore Uganda and Rwanda!

We have just finished Rwanda- Uganda safari. The contact with the company is spotless. Always happy to assist & very caring. Our guide Victor was amazing. Smooth trip!
We loved our safari with NextGen, everything went smoothly from the airport pickup, gorilla and golden monkey trekking, and relaxing at the Lake Kivu. We loved our guide Victor who introduced us to Rwanda and spent the 5 days with us. We said we wanted to try local food and he brought us to a local restaurant in Kigali and felt we got the authentic local experience! We would definitely book again!

Well Organised, Safe And Fun!
I went on a 3 day gorilla safari to Bwindi from Kigali with Nextgen Safaris. Super easy to organise via email. Benson was my guide and I had such a great time. He was very enthusiastic, informative and a very good driver on the uneven roads! I'm already thinking about making another trip back to Uganda to see even more!

Outstanding Service from Start to Finish!
I cannot recommend NextGen Safaris highly enough!
From my very first inquiry, Benald understood exactly what I was looking for and designed an itinerary that perfectly matched my interests. My dream was to experience Uganda's highlights, especially gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, and safaris, while also learning more about Uganda.
Communication was excellent from the beginning. Every email and every question was answered quickly and thoroughly, and I always felt that my trip was in good hands. Benald also provided valuable advice on flights, visas, etc., making the entire planning process easy and stress-free. His website and blog also contained a wealth of valuable information.
What impressed me the most was the level of personal attention, including redesigning the itinerary according to my wishes. My initial planned budget for this trip was lower than the first proposal, and instead of simply saying it wasn't possible, Benald carefully redesigned the itinerary, suggested great alternatives, and found a solution without sacrificing the experiences that mattered to me. Throughout the planning process, he was patient, honest, and incredibly responsive to every question I had.
Then came the time for my trip. Renatus, who is the driver and guide extraordinaire, met me at the airport. Being on the road with him really exceeded my expectations. He provided tons of information about Rwanda and Uganda, their cultures, plants, birds, and wildlife, while answering every question I had. At the same time, he always gave me enough time to simply look around during the drives, enjoy the scenery, and take everything in.
He was excellent at planning and managing every aspect of the trip and also gave some great tips before the gorilla trekking and safaris. He made the whole journey incredibly interesting and fun with his stories and wonderful sense of humor, making conversation feel effortless. Renatus definitely deserves a huge and heartfelt "thank you" from me for everything.
The gorilla and chimpanzee trekking experiences, as well as the safaris, were truly unforgettable and exceeded everything I had hoped for.
I'm also very glad I had the opportunity to experience the Bigodi community and its surroundings on guided walks with Godfrey, a local community guide from Bigodi. He truly is a treasure trove of fascinating facts and stories about the local community, wildlife, plants, and birds. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and learned so much from him. Spending time with him was one of the unexpected highlights of my trip.
After this trip, I can honestly say that NextGen Safaris truly values its guests and goes the extra mile to make their trips more than worthwhile.
