Safari, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar – Great organization and service
Communication and service provided by Benson Safaris was very satisfactory from the first day (starting in Germany) to the last. Despite some obstacles during the trip, such as a missed flight, the interaction with Benson was easy and problems could be solved fast and uncomplicatedly.
The accommodations suggested by Benson were all to our liking and we felt very comfortable at any point in our trip, so our expectations were definitely met. During the Safari we were accompanied by our tour guide Cassie. He was an excellent driver, fluent in German and great at spotting animals – just generally a very pleasant person to be around.
In addition to the safari we also had an amazing time climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. It was a great experience, which wouldn't have been possible without the incredible crew accompanying us up the mountain. Both, guides (Shaban, Dickson and Omary) and porters, made us feel safe and comfortable and helped us reach the summit with joy.
Also during our third part of the trip, Zanzibar, the service provided was great and especially the transportation was reliable and good.
If we are traveling to Tanzania again, Benson Safaris would be our first choice to plan the journey.

Great safari
We booked a 6 day safari with Shemeji in July 2019 for our honeymoon. Emma was terrific at communicating and organizing leading up to the trip. Our guide (Soliman- unsure of spelling) was great-- very committed to us having a good time, excellent driver, great at spotting animals, very professional and committed. Overall very well organized and pleased with our experience, especially for the price.

Outstanding service!
This is our first time to South Africa and we only have limited time to tour the country. David did an excellent job helping us to arrange the itinerary and maximize our visit. We have a wonderful experience and look forward to our next trip back to explore the rest of this beautiful country!

Excellence
I and my wife visit Tanzania for 7 days and visit several national parks including Serengeti national parks ngorongoro and tarangire national parks. Our guide Freddy is the best guide that I had met. He had done an fantastic jobs to lead us to see different animals. He always try his best to find the animals that I and my wife wants to see. The arrangement by Freddy was very good so that we can both enjoy the trip and relax in the hotel. I hope I can join his tour again if I visit Tanzania.

Firstly, my gratitude goes to Margaret for her professional and quick response. This was one of the moments that decided that I will use services of UHURU TRAVEL & TOUR LTD. Then, I would like to thank Mr. Roy for his personal approach and assistance provided to us during our trip in Tanzania. Last but not least, my big thank you! goes to our guide Mr. Mak with whom we spent pleasant 8 days and who sincerely looked after us. Our thank you belongs as well to other people who by their own way contributed to our beautiful and pleasant stay in Tanzania.

Hilary was a good communicator from the get go. He was transparent with his pricing and stuck to his word. Unlike other tour operators with whom you feel exhausted after negotiating prices and still come out feeling cheated, Hilary is clear with his pricing and how much discount he can give. He also addressed all our concerns including our dietary preferences as we are Hindu non vegetarians.
Coming to the actual trip, Hilary made sure that the driver came to pick us up at Arusha airport on time. The hotel booked for us in Arusha too (jevas) was neat and clean.
For the safari, we had a vehicle from 7 wonders and Amos as the driver cum guide and Khaya as the chef. Both Amos and Khaya were wonderful. Amos took us on as many game drives as could fit in a day. He was never impatient or rude and was cheerful at all times, even sharing in our excitement although it must be getting old for him. Khaya was exceptional with his cooking skills and his kindness. He always had coffee and snacks ready for us after game drives. The lunches and dinner, whether picnic or hot, were so tasty with a lot of variety and included vegetarian items, eggs and chicken for two of us along with pork items for others. He plated exceptionally well too and every item was a work of art. I will forever remember Amos and Khaya and I thank Hilary and Suricata safaris for making this trip and enjoyable and memorable one for us.
Note: the camps we stayed in needed improvement but these are govt owned campsites so nothing the safari operators could do about it. At the end of the day, you are in the wild so luxury is not an option unless you spend too dollar on lodges.
Note 2: the car hire service Hilary ordered to drop us to JRO airport at end of trip messed up by being late, making us wait and being rude. Hilary made sure he picked us up from Arusha and delivered us to airport himself to soothe our frayed nerves and make up for that bitter experience. Also, he gave us some local currency out of his own pocket to make sure we had dinner at airport as we couldnt have anything earlier due to the delay. If this isn’t customer service, I don’t know what is!
