A trip marred with creases in the beginning, smoothened by the Greatest of All Times!
5/5

What do you expect from a good tour operator???

Being from India, we are used to everyday hustle and glitches in almost everything we do. But this time, it was different. Our trip started with a major glitch. Our first flight from Mumbai (Kenya Airways) got delayed, which caused a missed connection of two subsequent flights. It put our whole tour plan in jeopardy. We were about to lose hundreds of thousands of Rupees and a highly anticipated trip to African safari.

What do you expect from a good tour operator???
A good support when needed, when you are on altogether different lands.

What do you expect from a great tour operator???
An extended, humble, prompt, extremely well-coordinated support when your highly anticipated tour is about to face cancellation due to no one's fault.

That's what exactly Safari GOATS did. Their extremely well-timed and well-coordinated support, both emotional and logistical, proved to be monumental during our visit. Hamisi, our sales contact coordinated extremely well with his contacts in Kenya to transport us from Nairobi to Arusha by land transport in a timely and comfortable manner, when the Airline failed to provide a reasonable connection in time. Without Hamisi, we believe our tour would've perished at the start itself! Due to a great team effort from Safari GOATS, we not only reached Arusha in time, but also had an absolutely incredible, humbling, raw yet luxurious tour experience throughout our stay of 6 days!
When Eddie, the company owner, received us at Arusha, his smiling welcome made us forget the fatigue. We'll always remember his words, "Nature gives you what you deserve, NOT what you want". And guess what, apparently we deserved the BIG5 on day 1!
Adam was our tour guide cum driver and his knowledge of wildlife and safari routes was impeccable. We don't remember a single instance when we threw a question at Adam and he was unable to answer it. He always had answers, always! That too in great detail. He was always smiling, accommodating, and comforting. He never hushed the trip. We had a kid with us and Adam had become his good friend! :D
Seriously Eddie, you have assembled a great bunch of enthusiastic people to run your company. Hope you read this review. You indeed deserve a good review and great growth ahead.
Hope to see you again. I'll certainly visit Tanzania again in my lifetime. Hope it still remains as accommodating, raw and comforting as it is now!

Abouh is incredibly experienced, reliable, knowledgeable and provides a one of a kind experience.
5/5

A safari is a once in a lifetime opportunity/experience where you want to ensure that you choose not only a reliable company but a tour guide who is going to maximize the experience. Sandpiper Safari/Abouh exceeded all of my expectations.

Throughout my safari experience, I had no doubt that I was in good hands. Abouh was incredibly reliable and communicated all expectations and set up each day of our three-day safari really well. He made sure we saw each of the animals on our bucket list and acted very quickly when a black rhino was spotted miles away, ensuring that our experience was complete. It’s clear from the moment you meet Abouh that he knows what he’s doing; he knows the roads, the park, the people and the surrounding communities, the vehicle, the campsites, and the animals.

I will without a doubt recommend Abouh/Sandpiper Safari to anyone I know who will be traveling to Tanzania for a safari in the Serengeti and you should too, after all who wouldn’t want to go on a safari with one of Tanzania’s nationally ranked top 3 tour guides?

We enjoyed our safari experience a lot; from the services in the lodge to all the animal sightings! We were lucky and saw all the big 5 and much more, August is a good month to do safari!

We recommend Moafrika strongly to everyone, you will be taken care of well.

Special thanks to Janine- the Dumela lodge manager, Stanley, Eddy, Great.

Wonderful memories to last a lifetime - courtesy of Serengeti Green Tanzania
5/5

With Serengeti Green as our safari tour guide, there was nothing more we could have possibly asked for.

They were prompt and responsive to all our inquiries even before we left the ground and when we were met at Arusha airport personally by Mr. Davies and Mr. Goodluck plus 2 additional staffers, we immediately knew we were in good hands.

Our own safari was 5 days and 4 nights with each day progressively getting better along the way. True to his name, Mr. Goodluck (our guide and driver for the entire trip) seemed to have a knack for knowing exactly when and where to be for the perfect sighting of the countless animals we saw. In addition to being a very cautious and alert driver, he is also quite the wellspring of knowledge regarding the local flora and fauna which he is quite eager to share. He has a healthy sense of humor which he employs to being more than just being informative - he is able to supplement dry facts with entertaining trivia thus making the rough roads a little bit more bearable.

If a safari was merely about sighting animals then Safari Green certainly overperformed in helping us accomplish this. We saw all the magnificent creatures we had hoped to see(the Big 5, the Ugly 5, Giraffes, Cheetahs, Jackals, Herons, Pelicans, Ostriches, Hippos, Zebras, Chimps, Baboons, Flamingoes, Antelopes, Eagles, Impalas, Wild Chickens, etc), plus several we didn't even know about (Serval Cat, Caracal, Hornbills, Lizards, Buzzards, Dik-diks, Elands, etc). But more than this we, also saw how they interacted: as predators, as prey, as competitors, as parasites, etc. We saw how they all participate in a delicate balancing act, how each one contributes to the amazing diversity of wonderful creatures found in Africa.

Mr. Goodluck was quite amenable and obliging with our every request. He would safely stop whenever we asked and we never felt rushed as we took our sweet time in savoring the amazing vistas. He would point out overlooked sights and was always happy to help us with our endless selfies. We appreciated the extra effort he made to take us to out-of-the way places like the Maasai village we visited. It was apparent on approach that the village was not the usual tourist trap, but a seldom visited spot. We will always remember the warmth and friendly hospitality that they extended us.

We were so grateful for all the extra miles that we wanted to share our last Tanzanian dinner with Mr. Goodluck. We were so happy his wonderful family accepted our invitation to join us so we could get to know them as well. All in all, it was a trip full of wonderful memories to last a lifetime.

We wholeheartedly recommend Serengeti Green and hope to see them again in the future.

Excellent Value for Money
5/5

We did a 4 day Safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire and enjoyed every minute of it. We were in a mixed car with 4 other people (6 total) and stayed in tents on the campsites.
The safari itself was well guided, we saw pretty much every animal that exists in Tanzania. One pair of Binoculars was provided, so if you can bring your own - but that's the only minor critique.
Otherwise, breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, and some of the best food we had during our time in Tanzania. Mariam is an excellent cook and wonderful person: I would recommend to request her, if you can.

Despite this being the cheapest safari we could find, there was no sense of corners cut.

Oh, despite it not being mandatory, your are sort of expected to tip (10$ p/p per day), so factor that into your costs.

Thank you Mountain Warriors!

Everything went smoothly, during our lucky full day in Maasai Mara we could see the big five on the same day. Our driver, Solomon was really professional, he always answerd all of our questions and took us to the good locations. Highly recommend!

Very reliable tour operator
5/5

Very professional and reliable company. Perfect organization and services. They booked everything for us, including domestic flights. We visited Lower Zambesi, Kafue and South Luangwa parks, and the Victoria Falls at the end. We were constantly in touch with Eva of the agency, and always supported for the entire duration of the tour.
Nice lodges, particularly Mopani Lodge.
The guides on the game drives were prepared and professional.
Good value for money.
Wonderful tour in a wonderful country.
