John, my tour guide, made my first Safari trip very unforgettable. He's not just an expert in the animals and the terrain, but he's also a fantastic DJ. A beautiful and memorable safari to Amboseli : highly recommended!
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a day trip from Nairobi to Amboseli with Karibu Safaris, and I must say, it was simply wonderful and exceeded all my expectations.
Despite my very last minute reservation the night before, Karibu Safaris was able to confirm my booking and the organization of the tour was flawless and hassle-free. And as a solo/only traveler on the tour, I felt fully safe and also received personalized attention and care from start to finish.
The driver Kevin was simply commendable. He was punctual, a safe driver, extremely professional, fun, kind, friendly and courteous. He was also patient with me as I was late to meet him and start the tour. And he subsequently also managed the time well, ensuring that the day's itinerary still flowed smoothly and that I made the most of my time in Amboseli.
Kevin's extensive knowledge and genuine passion and respect for the nature, the animals and especially for birds, added depth and beauty to the journey, enriching my understanding and appreciation of the place.
Throughout the tour, Kevin went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and enjoyment. He shared information about the various birds, elephants, gazelles, hippos, zebras and other animals we saw. He offered a longer game drive and a visit of a Masai village along the way to the park. He also stopped at view points, helped me take the best photos, and his genuine passion for sharing the beauty of Amboseli made the trip all the more special.
The logistics were great. The vehicle/van was very comfortable and in perfect condition. The packaged lunch was delicious and there were more than enough water bottles provided for during the whole trip.
Also, as I enquired with other tour companies, I realised that this tour operator offered the best price and value for money without compromising on quality -
making it a worthwhile option for budget-conscious travelers like myself.

East African Discovery was a perfect choice. Highly recommended!
We went on a 2-week safari to Uganda and Rwanda late October, early November 2023. East African Discovery organised everything properly from the very beginning until the last minute. Our contact from the office was Ben, he is very well prepared and helpful, took all our needs into account and reply quick to emails.
During our safari everything went according the plan and our ideas. Our tour guide, Bernard (on the first week in Uganda) was excellent, he is so helpful and attentive, informed us about everything and always open to our requests. (In case you are planning to visit the area where EAD work, ask for Bernard, you won't regret it.)
On the second week we continued our safari with Abdul, he is also a great giude, high-skilled and open minded.
During our trip we also had the chance to meet Richard (the business partner of Ben) at My Bwindi Home a newly opened lodge which is operated by them. It was an unforgettable memory, the guys were so warm -hearted and did everything to make us feel at home.
Overall, we were very satisfied with everything from the organization throughout our stay. Perfect tour opereator with perfect staff, extremely recommended.

I want to give Moses Yohanes and his team at Kili Climb Africa Safaris the strongest endorsement. He delivers an exceptional experience on price (very competitive), safety (he has summited Kili over 250 times), quality (his meals, for example, are delicious), and heart (a warm Tanzanian who radiates service and love for people).
We learned about Moses from our neighbor in New York who had climbed Kilimanjaro with Moses in 2015. She also gave Moses the highest recommendation. So we asked him to lead our family to Kili and guide an African safari. My wife and I are in our 60s and our two kids in their twenties. Even though we had researched the hike, trained for months, purchased the right gear, we still encountered unexpected difficulties. But deep into the mountains Moses assessed our situation, modified his plan, and helped us summit Kilimanjaro on August 21, 2023. And just as important, despite our exhaustion, he safely led the descent from base camp at 15,500 feet to the gate almost 10,000 feet below. (Reaching the summit is one thing, getting down safely when exhausted another.) We danced with his team, shared meals together, learned about his passions (he even sponsors a non-profit for helping disadvantaged children), and ate ice cream with his family at the hotel.
After summiting Kili, he led a 4-day safari through the Ngorongoro Crater as well as Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks. That his expert driver could navigate the tangle of nameless dirt roads crisscrossing the expansive Serengeti speaks to his 25-years of experience. We saw the big five—elephants, lions, buffalo, leopards, and rhinoceros. And we spent our nights at comfortable lodging—from the Farm of Dreams to luxurious platform tents overlooking the park—enjoying meals and resting for the next day.
Whether climbing Kili or exploring the parks, his ability to produce tables, chairs, and delicious meals—by a trail on Kili or the shade of a tree in the park—was pure magic. Just one example of the many ways in which Moses will surprise and delight you.
For all these reasons—price, safety, experience, flexibility, and friendship—I give Moses Yohanes the highest recommendation. You may find someone as good if you are lucky, but not better.
