The food was beyond spectacular, there was never anything we needed that wasn’t either already on the way or in our hands, and the safari itself was structured perfectly to accomplish everything we were looking to do / see, based on the conditions and migration patterns. Issa is extremely easy to work with, an expert in the area, and truly passionate about his craft and his guest experience!

Professional, helpful, flexible, reliable
When planning our trip, Ant''s advice was precious to put up a realistic itinerary allowing us to combine both must sees (Vic Falls, Mana Pools) and pretty unique experiences (sailing the Kariba lake on a catamaran then crossing the lake on the ferry, securing a spot at Chitake, managing a spot for us at Kazuma at the last minute...). On arrival, he was also very helpful in dealing with my lost luggage: I was only reunited with my bag 10 days into our trip but thanks to Ant's superb assistance that inconvenience did not interfere with our experience in anyway ;) During our stay at the Sunbird guest house before hitting the road we got a complete brief on the car and on the dos and don's while on the go: we used every recommendation as we went and genuinely loved every minute of our adventure. The set up of the cars is really well thought out, the car itself was very reliable. The whole team is dedicated and warm. We loved Zimbabwe and most probably the help we got from the whole team who provides a superb service altogether. I cannot recommend the country enough nor going with Mana Pools Tourism services for the trip.

I finally realised my biggest dream, to go on safari in the savannah. I had such an enriching experience. I thank the organisers for giving me a French guide because my English is not perfect. I was able to ask all my questions and understand the history of Tanzania and deepen my knowledge. What about this safari? I saw many animals, zebras, lions, elephants, giraffes... It would be like the lion king or Madagascar. Price level: I was able to make my comparisons with several safari agencies, the prices were exorbitant, even those of the hotel. Thanks to TikTok, I was advised the Africa_bucket list which was cheap at all for 2 days (hotel, full board, transfer and flight) of safari.

Very professional and accomodative
We always wanted to have this trip to western Uganda but we were always discouraged by how much it would cost us to travel as a group, worried on the many scum sites online, a friend recommended Nyanja Safaris and we decided to take a limp of faith. To our surprise the team at Nyanja Safaris gave us more than what we thought our money could afford, from transportation, to accommodation and the great planned itinerary with a professional driver who never complained or got tired of our stopovers to take pics and make memories along the way. Surely I would give them my money any day any time👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I enjoyed the trip to Gorillas Trekking at the Volcanos National Park very much. Blaise was super helpful. What an incredible trip. It had been a dream to reach the top of Kilimanjaro. With John and Ladi leading us we made it. They and the whole crew were so in tune with me and my daughter, Florence. The day of the final push was so special. John and Ladi knew exactly what pace we needed to set. It was incredibly tough and with different leaders we might not have made it. Perfect 5 day experience
A great safari with Suricata. The safari was well balanced, with visiting all the big parks in the 5 days. Our guide, Elias, was super friendly and knowledgeable about not only the animals but also everything in and around the area. We had a safari with hotel/lodge and the Suricata Boma Lodge upgrade we got was amazing! The food that the cook, Tito, cooked as lunch during the tours was delicious as well. We got a good briefing and debriefing by Dennis and Daniel at the start and end of the safari, in Arusha, and they arranged for good pick-ups from and to the airport.

We booked a 7 day safari through Meijo safaris. They are a local tour operator and come with all the advantages of being local. Their expertise is second to none. Their prices are competitive. And the safari turned out to be very enjoyable.

They listened to all of my preferences and made my bucket list trip an amazing reality.
I found safari bookings and spent several weeks looking over different itinerary options and asked for quotes from a few different companies. I found I wanted a few changes from a normal itinerary and started asking questions from all the agencies. Karen from Shadows was extremely helpful and patient and I wanted to learn as much as possible before deciding. Karen answered all my questions thoroughly and was flexible when it came to booking. After booking, she was great with checking in to make sure I knew what to pack, how to prepare for the trip and to make sure I didn't have any questions.
The trip itself was amazing. Once our guide picked us up, they handled everything regarding transportation, meals and lodging as well as providing us with 3 incredible guides along the way. My husband and I loved the private game drives and the lodges went above and beyond helping me to celebrate my upcoming birthday (much to my embarrassment ;)
I will highly recommend Shadows of Africa to anyone wanted a trip of a lifetime!
