Excellent Safari guides and company!
5/5

We went on a 10-day Safari through Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti (July 2018). We chose Soul of Tanzania as they were highly recommended by friends, and they truly lived up to that glowing recommendation! Our guide Nico was extremely welcoming, friendly, professional, patient, and knowledgable. He always got us in great spots for photos, but was respectful of the animals and knew how to read their behaviour. As a very experienced guide and driver, we felt very safe at all times with Nico. He truly loves and is passionate about Tanzania's people, culture, animals and landscapes. It was nice to be collected and dropped off at the airport by the same person -- he was a lovely friend by the end! Also, during the booking/planning stages, the Soul of Tanzania staff were very responsive and easy to communicate with, especially Miguel, Iris and Rachel. We would highly recommend Soul of Tanzania, for excellent guides, well-maintained vehicles and a high-standard Safari experience.

An outstanding experience that gave us the best of all worlds in Kruger
5/5

This was our first trip to Kruger, so we really needed to rely on an expert. The itinerary Ute suggested we felt was just perfect. We experienced 3 camps, and each offered something different. As a result, we felt that we got a really balanced view of Kruger, that would have been missed by just going to one camp. Ute was easy to deal with, super helpful throughout, provided great advice, suggestions and support. I would happily go back to Ute if we head in that direction again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a safari.

Review about Hwange National Park by Olaf Korbanek

Hwange NP is very interesting and offers different landscapes. The wildlife was, due to the wheather, reduced (in comparison with Chobe NP e.g.), but we saw, that a lot of animals live there!

The camp site was terrific, near the lake, during the night we heard the hippos walking around, really beautiful!

A river which fails to meet the sea

5/5

The Okabango Delta, called the jewel of Kalahari in Africa, changes the shape of the waterway and plants grow to block it. Hippos living in lakes and swamps here can pass through the blocked waterways or expand their channels.

The swamps in the Okabang Lake grow very well, thanks to the rivers and the nutrients in them. As a natural environment, a large number of animals and birds gather here and breed in a swamp in the middle of a dry terrain. Large animals such as hippos and elephants are easy to see and have various birds.

I was promised to see ALL THE BIG 5 here, though we missed the leopard, but it was still a super fun and enjoyable place to be.

I really like the green bushy vibe of this park, its very different to the vibes of Amboseli and Masai Mara.

An amazing experience with an excellent guide!

We made a Budget Camping Safari with Kanghela Safaris and it was a brilliant experience! Everything was organized perfectly and all people involved were very friendly and likeable!

Our guide, Andy Trivella, was one of the highlights of the trip. He is an amazing tracker and always tries to give his guests this extra experience. Approaching lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos on foot is really much better than in a car and although this was already our third camping safari, we never had the possibility to feel as close to the wildlife before! And, we made this trip with our daughter (16), we always felt safe! And he is a great storyteller around the camp fire! :-)

THANK you very much, Andy!!!

The safari crew (Bernhard Sibanda and Memba Sibanda) made also a terrific job and were very friendly, too!. It is unbelievable, how tasty meals can be prepared with only an open fire. It was Membas first trip as a safari assistant and he is a natural talent!

We visited Hwange NP, Matopos and Mana Pools. All Camping sites were beautifully situated and we had, especially in Mana Pools, a lot of wildlife experiences. In Hwange it was very cold and due to the excessive rain season the animals were hiding in the bushes. Without Walking we would have seen "only" occasionally elephants, another advantage of Khangela Safaris and their focus on walking experiences.

In Matopos we stayed in the beautiful Farmhouse Lodge in the beautiful scenery surrounding the former farm.
The transfer from Matopos to Mana Pools was exhausting due to the long distance, but as a side effect we learnt a lot about Simbabwe and we saw the results of the Mughabe era: abandoned farms and factories! To get an insight into the culture and the political situation these transfer days were very interesting, too!

Overall, it was an extremely interesting, touching and unforgettable Holiday. We are really in love with Africa and we are looking Forward to returning to Simbabwe.

AND: Khangela Safari will definitely be our first choice!!!

About: Kenya
Falling in Love with Kenya
Overall rating
5/5

I was a bit worried before my trip to Kenya, wasn't sure about the culture, the food, the place, the tour operators etc. Though upon meeting our guide and driver, I immediately knew that this will be a good trip!

The weather is a bit cooler than we thought, we did not bring enough clothes, so we were freezing in some nights. But generally the hotel will provide enough blankets for us to get thru the night, which is fine.

The accommodations were much better than I thought they would be, and the services were always top notch. All the people in Kenya seems to be happy all the time, we were greeted with big smiles everywhere we go. The food inside the hotel were absolutely amazing!

We went to 4 different places for game drives (Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli) , and they were all pretty good! Although we did not see all the big five (we missed the leopard), but we saw a Cheetah climbing a tree during the sunset time, which made up the loss we have. And hey, this just gives me an extra reason to come back to Kenya!

Our guide Francis was very lovely. He was super attentive, polite, knowledgeable, and have eyesight like eagle. He can spot animals miles away, and we were just so amazed all the time!

A big shout out to our tour operator Heritage of African Jungles Tours & Travel, they were super professional, organized, and attentive. Naomi who was the owner, made sure that we were very well taken care of thru out the tour, and even before our tour started, she was super responsive on e-mails, and is always happy to answer any questions from us.

I'm already planning my next trip to Kenya.
