Amazing 9-days safari from Kampala through Murchison, Kibale forest, Queen Elizabeth & Bwindi
Wow! We had an amazing trip and our decision to go for a longer safari in Uganda instead the short 4 days to see gorillas was justified at the end. We initially wanted to do a short 4-day trip to trek gorillas in Bwindi but later opted to see more of what Uganda had to offer. We decided to book with Uzuri safaris after they were quick to respond to our inquiry as well as their good pricing! Before deciding on them, we also read their reviews on Safaribookings and we were convinced to go with them! I have got to say they did a fantastic job and the properties they chose were really nice for a mid-range package. The lodges more than met our expectations and actually exceeded them. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and sweet – Ronnie. He met us at the airport in Entebbe. Our flight was delayed by more than an hour but he waited for us for more than two hours until we cleared immigration – which was great. It was just my husband and I on the trip – which made it that much more special. We came in during the rainy season but what is incredible is the sun will be out just after a heavy downpour! Generally, the weather was incredible. Despite the heavy rains especially in the mornings, we saw a lot of animals in Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth park. Hippos and crocodiles along the Nile, buffalo and elephants taking a drink of the Nile! The falls themselves are magical and the trek to the top was one of the highlights for me. Queen Elizabeth national park is very scenic for those that love landscape but the highlight was the encounter with the tree-climbing lions. Who knew that lions do climb trees? I would recommend that if you go on safari – rent a long photo lens as the opportunity to take photos cannot be missed! On we went to Bwindi for our face to face with the mountain gorillas! Wow, what an experience! I cannot put it in as many words but what I can say is if you love nature, go on a gorilla trek it will be worth your time and money. Our itinerary included a de-tour to a magical lake (Bunyonyi) where you can relax (if you come back early from your gorilla trek like we did) and continuously admire your pictures and videos from your trip! This was a lifetime trip and if you are thinking of using a local tour company or going to any other country, I highly encourage you to come to Uganda and use Uzuri Uganda Safaris.

Made a complex booking very easy no hassle or stress.
Communications with Safari Club were excellent- both prompt and helpful responses to all our queries and concerns. We were given lots of help on choices of flights and camps, and having spoken to Paul about what we were looking for within our budget he came up with a perfect holiday plan for our group of 7 people- 5 in their 20's and 2 in their 50's.
Travel and clothing suggestions were given to us which we all found extremely useful as this was our first safari.
Our holiday met and surpassed some of our expectations, the tourguides and camps were excellent and we had the most wonderful expererience which we will treasure for many years.

Amazing!!!! Lion King Adventures is highly recommended.
Everything was perfect. The safari was an amazing experience. We saw tons and tons of animals, many of which were so close you could practically reach out and touch them.
Our guide Good luck was awesome. He knew all the parks like the back of his hand. He could spot animals from miles away. He's extremely knowledgeable about animals, Masai culture, plants, birds, everything. He's also got a heart of gold. He cares so much about the animals, the environment, and people who are less fortunate. He took great care of us.
We stayed at several tented camps (aka glamping) which were great. They are inside the parks. You can hear (and sometimes see) all the animals around you, but have the comforts of private toilet and shower in your tent, comfy beds, thick blankets, and full service meals.
Everything was perfect with our trip. From the beginning they were great. I had tons and tons of questions. They were all answered promptly. They organized pick up and drop off at airports (even at 3am) . Pricing was very competitive. Lion King is the company to go with.

First class and an amazing experience!
The service and communication from booking to arrival and throughout our stay from Donna and her team, was first class. We started off in Arusha for 7 days - Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti (and then 7 days in Zanzibar) - and the guides were all perfect - professional, knowledgeable and friendly, particularly important as we travelled with our 3 children, ensuring they were always engaged and involved, with every need taken care of. The highlight was undoubtedly the Serengeti and the excellent Kaskaz camp, where our guide, Frank, was truly outstanding.
We've done a number of safaris and travels across Africa and will be definitely returning to Maasai Wanderings again - and hopefully soon!

The best safari we could hope for
We started thinking of a safari holiday a couple of years ago and at first we were unsure if we wanted to go to Tanzania or Kenya. For a number of reasons, we then decided to go to Kenya and we started an online research for a safari company that could suit us. We contacted Spirt of Kenya (when it was still called It started in Africa) in order to know possible itineraries and prices. We were impressed with the level of customer care from the first email exchanges. From the first email exchanges, the safari was postponed to this year so we got in touch with them again in the last months of 2017.
What we liked in particular of this company is their way of quoting the safari by listing a number of possible accomodations, and letting you decide the level of comfort that you want. We did not want a luxury safari nor a "tent" safari. They proposed a list of hotels/camps to us so we had the chance to research and choose. We set for the "Off the beaten path" itinerary, which includes Samburu, Nakuru and Mara for a total of 6 days. We asked them to add also the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and so they did. They were always very flexible and accomodating with our requests, literally responding to our emails within a few hours.
Moses and Jackson (I hope I remember the names correctly) came to Nairobi airport to meet and greet us and they drove us to an hotel of our choice for the first night. The morning after our guide Sego came to the hotel and we left for the trip. The van we used was in very good conditions.
I did not think I would see animals at such a short distance during the safari. I am a (very) amateur photographer and I thought that with my cheap lenses I would not be able to take good pictures. I was very wrong. Especially in the Mara, we got very close to big cats, my favourite animals of the safari. Sego was in radio contact with other drivers and when he started driving like crazy we knew something was up! We saw so many animals and he is very knowledgeable. We loved that he had always a smile on his face :) Even if currently the road to the Mara is very bad, Sego did a very good job in driving us around.
We will surely recommend Spirit of Kenya to our friends!

She was very helpful and I really enjoyed my trip to Amboseli
My journey was beautiful. I can describe the Safari as one of kind, I was picked at the airport the touring Company Van and they later dropped in my hotel where I was to spend my night. The following day we departed and headed to Amboseli where I had the opportunity to see the big five Animals, it was breath taking and it a rare moment, after the game drive we were entertained by the Maasai dancers and I really appreciate their kindness. I thank Hyrax Safaris for their outstanding services, and their pocket friendly prices.
Thank you and God Bless

Faustin did absolutely everything on his power to make our stay in Tanzania delightful.
Thank you so much for everything Faustin. We enjoyed every second of our safari thanks to you guys. Every detail was perfectly organised, timings, scenarios, the food was lovely, and our tour guide, Novath, was the loveliest, most knowledgeable tour guy we have ever had the pleasure to be with.
We did a safari around Mikumi - smaller than other national parks but with the same beauty and animals, which allows you to see all the animals in a much less crowded park. We also traveled to enjoy the beautiful Udzungwa mountains national park, where we hiked up to the top to a wonderful waterfall (you can swim on the bottom)
I would recommend Faustin tours and Novath without hesitation.
Take care my friends! Hakuna Matata
