We planned a trip to Kenya with Chalo Africa this year. This is our 2nd trip with them, the first was in 2017. They understood our intentions and budget and drew out an amazing itinerary that we are grateful for. The 12-day trip to Kenya was like a trip of a lifetime with a very high value for the money we spent.
Our stays with two different Asilia camps were incredible. The properties were fascinating and every single staff member knew so much about wildlife and birds that even conversations over tea turned super-informative.
We appreciate Smita and her team for efficient communication both before and during the trip. We especially appreciate them for being available for any kind of confusion that came up during our trip.

Absolutely fantastic
By far the best trip we have had. We did a last minute booking with not much idea of where exactly we wanted to go. Our booking was handled by Tanith who gave us excellent advice and planned our trip so well. We did a self drive trip, dtaying at Liwonde, Mumbo Island and South Luangwa. The self drive was the part we felt a bit nervous about when booking but we certainly didn't need to be. The vehicle was great and had everything we could have needed. Ollie went through everything with us so we set off feeling confident and well looked after.
All the lodges were wonderful and each a bit different so we had a unique experience at each of them. We were assured that the lodges would cater for vegan diets and had been notified when booking - they certinely did not dissapoint. The food was delicious.
The animal sightings at Liwonde were great and the drives felt so private because we hardly saw any other vehicle. Our guide, David was excellent. Mvuu Lodge is absolutely somewhere we will stay again.
Mumbo Island was an excellent relaxing, mid holiday stop. A tropical paradise!
South Luangwa was definitely the highlight. Flatdogs Loddge was fantastic and the animal sightings we excperienced were beyond what we anticipated. Our guide Malama was fantastic and respectful of the wildlife.
An absolutely fantastic trip that we will never forget. Thank you Tanith and Ollie for an incredible time. We will be booking again for next year!

Very Caring, Made the Experience amazing
Loyce was our coordinator for the safaris. She was amazing. Making sure we got the full African experience. The three days was something that i never believed i could have experienced. I was with company before hand for a medical volunteer program. Loyce took us under her wing, made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this company and their drivers. looked after our safety. This company took it very serious. Wouldn't want any other safari company.

Experience for life
We had a wonderful trip as father, son and daughter. We were able to see a lot of beautiful nature and were especially lucky to see the animals up close. Thanks to his sharp eye and attentiveness, our tour guide Barnice managed to spot many animals for us.

Exciting Tour!
I went to Akagera for a day with Silverbird and they tried hard to find a travel compagnon for me as I did not want to go on my own. At Akagera Justin tried hard to find all the animals. We did and the Safari car was excellent for this. If you want to have indept information about wildlife at Akagera, book a ranger in addition. overall: recommendable.

Amazing and unforgettable safari trip
We planned a 7d6n safari trip with Loyce and team and it was just an incredible experience . Everything from the planning stages to the actual adventure itself was absolutely fantastic.
The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife, making sure we got the best possible sightings. We saw a whole variety of animals including the Big 9! It was breathtaking to see them all in their natural habitat.
The accommodations were comfortable and the food was delicious, which made for a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.
I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing safari adventure.

First Class Experience With Passionate Namibian Experts
We've just got back from a 17-day all-inclusive luxury safari with Secret Namibia and the experience was absolutely amazing.
This wasn't our first family safari, having done one in Kenya back in 2018. However, if I'm being honest, the operator we went with then was pretty lacklustre and left a lot to be desired. We wanted to learn from that experience and make sure we got it right this time especially as Namibia is a place we've wanted to visit for a long time.
As soon as we started researching Secret Namibia we knew they'd be a great fit for us. They're based in Namibia which felt like a huge plus as lots of operators we looked at were located in the UK or US. From their reviews it was also clear that they offered a properly bespoke service which was also a big positive- sometimes with the bigger travel companies you feel like 'just another customer' but this definitely wasn't our experience here.
In terms of the safari, it was everything we could wish for and was planned superbly. We started off in Sossusvlei and moved through places like the Skeleton Coast and Kaokoland before finishing up in Etosha. As a family we are daredevils and love adventure/outdoors activities. Throughout the tour we tried everything from quadbiking through to an incredible boating safari. If you get the chance to go on safari here we also highly reccommend the helicopter tours and the nocturnal game drives as it gives you an entirely different perspective on the landscapes and wildlife.
We opted for all inclusive which was a total game changer. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, which meant more time soaking up the sights and sounds of Namibia, more laughter, and more unforgettable memories.
The places we stayed in were just phenomenal too. Luxury in the wild, I’d call it. You’re out there, in the heart of nature, but with all the comforts you could imagine. Mowani Mountain Camp deserves a shout-out. Waking up to those views was something else – just magical!
Big thanks to Secret Namibia for not just planning our trip, but for crafting an adventure that felt tailor-made for us. Can't wait to go back and do it all over again!
