Perfect experience
My wife and I went for a 6 day safari which included Tarangerie Park, Central & Northern Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater as well as Serval Wildlife Hotel.
Safe to say our experience was life changing.
Our guide Mr. Deo was perfect. With over 10 years of experience, he was very knowledgeable in all aspects, including the vehicle, animals, the best game-drive routes and he even has the eyes of an eagle which helped us spot The Big 5 and more! There were a lot of tiny details of perfectionism we noticed as well, like how there was always fuel and we never had to stop, how there were always water bottles available and how the car was always kept clean.
All the accommodations included were top class, particular the tented camps. The organization, attention to detail and staff hospitality were simply outstanding. Having been to around 20 countries, I can say Tanzania hospitality and service is miles ahead of everyone else.
I am trying to think of some negative points but I don’t have any. I guess that’s as good a reason as I can get to say I highly recommend Serengeti Smile as your safari provider.

phenomenal
We had an unforgettable 3-day Safari experience. The parks we visited are truly unique, and the places where we stayed are immersed in nature, offering a deep sense of peace. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Our guide, Tarta, was always there for us—he made sure we never lacked anything and greatly enriched our experience. He told us not only in detail about the animals we encountered but also about the lives of the local people living in the villages.
Despite the long journeys, Tarta was always willing to take us even to the most remote corners of the parks to ensure we had a truly unique experience.

Just don't
Warning: “Opulent Africa Tours and Safaris” is just a rebranded name for “Opulent Tours and Travel.” Please read before booking.
My wife and I had carefully planned a once-in-a-lifetime 31-day safari with Opulent Tours and Travel. The staff were polite and helpful—until the moment we needed our money back.
When COVID hit and our country banned travel to South Africa, we canceled well within their official refund period and filled out all the required paperwork. Then the excuses began. “Be patient,” they said. Weeks turned into months. We later realized their terms of service say nothing about when refunds are due. We had paid months in advance, but now they felt no urgency to return what was ours.
After nearly two years of waiting, we offered them a chance to redeem themselves: let us take the original trip. Instead, they demanded an additional $3,000 for a shorter 25-day tour. Why? Because of our negative review. Yes, really. We were told we owed them for being honest. Since then, they’ve gone silent. We even tried to sue them, but Evans, the owner and CEO keeps moving from address to address to avoid the judicial process.
Planning a tour like this is about trust, and Opulent Africa Tours broke it. Please don’t make the same mistake we did. Do yourselves a favor and choose a company with basic decency.

Reliable, efficient able to provide memorable experience
We are seasoned safari travellers for game viewing but not trekking safaris. We could be better prepared with adequate mountain climbing trainings. The trek to the chimpanzees and golden monkeys are a lot easier and lower intensity compared to trekking for the gorillas. The one hour spent with gorillas however seemed short. I would recommend going for at least 2 gorillas treks if you can. Accommodation are basic so bring hair dryer if you have long hair.

A well-run, reasonably priced and reliable tour operator
We took the accommodated Zimbabwe and Botswana "Game Tracker" tour with Sunway Safaris last month and were very pleased with the experience. Everything was extremely well organized. The days were long, but a free day at Victoria Falls in the middle of the tour allowed some respite. Our guides, Alois and Jonas, were efficient, well trained, intelligent, gracious, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the countries we visited and their wildlife. Jonas, who was the driver, did a wonderful job of navigating difficult roads over thousands of miles. In those places where we did not have a local guide (these were also good), Alois provided detailed explanations about what we saw.
Overnight accommodations were varied but always comfortable, most frequently in the form of large permanent tents/cabins with bathroom. Often the guides cooked for us, and helping with the dishes etc. created camaraderie among the tourists.
If you plan to take this tour, be aware that it involves very long drives over roads that are often potholed and sometimes unpaved. Our truck (the "Red Elephant") was reasonably comfortable but could be very bouncy in the back seats---luckily there were nine of us in a vehicle that seats twelve, so only one had to sit in back, and we took turns. Moreover, the air conditioning was not really adequate on sunny days, even though it was winter. That said, it is well worth while traveling overland to get some understanding of the geography (natural and human) of the countries visited.
We saw many different animals as well as other sights, were charmed by the local people, learned a great deal, and were well taken care of. We can recommend Sunways as an experienced and reliable tour operator.
