Be careful of this company!
I would urge HIGH LEVEL of CAUTION interacting with the main point of contact, Erastus.
He was incredibly evasive when trying to get information regarding the tour from him, and did not provide any details of the itinerary at any point.
We had agreed to pay the remainder of the deposit at the start of our safari. However, within minutes of us arriving at our hotel the day before the safari, he sent someone to demand we pay the remainder of the deposit... very suspicious on how he would know where we were staying! As this information wasn't provided to him yet.
I had organised drop off at the airport with him for 40USD. On the last day, no one, whether that be Erastus or the driver told us how we would get to the airport. At one point, Erastus said we will get picked up by the clock tower in Arusha.... no one (including the driver) knew where the clock tower was. Eventually, a fellow traveler told us that we were getting dropped off at his hotel.
At this point, Erastus appears out of nowhere and says he will accompany us to the airport with the driver. Throughout this whole time, he was trying to intimidate us and eventually forced us to pay him 50USD for the trip.
I would highly recommend you consider another operator than mafie adventures.

Suricata Safari provides a fantastic safari! From booking it, the staff were helpful in organising airport transfers, hotels before and after and support throughout the booking process.
Our tour guide Freddy was fantastic. Explained everything really well and was kind and friendly throughout the trip
Our chef Tito made amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner! He suited it to our vegetarian needs and made the most tasty of foods!
I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone and it will be the best Safari you'll ever go on!!

Best customer service ever
This is the best customer service I ever had. Everything was made according to our wish. We felt safe all the time ( even next to a lion) 😀. At any point we had 2 guides/ drivers with us. Both Masai village and Mikumi safari were amazing. In Masai village we were main guests and in safari we saw all animals really close. Guide is professional and accommodated all our wishes. Great value for money paid. Guide always tried to make us happy and we have recieved so many info on history and biology. Very well guided private tour. I will always reach out to Imara when I am in this part of Africa.

5 day Tanzania group safari
Suricata were amazing from start to finish! Booking was easy, they arranged airport transfer and hotel on either side of the safari. Our tour guide, Freddy, was very friendly and knowledgable and ensured we saw all the big 5 animals and knew where to get the best shots from. The campsite was clean and comfortable. Food by our head chef Tito was very tasty and catered for vegetarians. We couldn’t ask for more. I would recommend Suricata to anyone looking for a safari company. I will definitely be using them when I return to do Mt Kilimanjaro!

We spent a week with Jon exploring Uganda and contemplating the mind-boggling beauty of the country. It was one of the best trips of our lives, a true adventure. And we couldn’t be happier that among other companies, we chose Safaris by Jon, with Jon himself as our guide. The trip was organized perfectly, and the impressions we got exceeded our expectations. Jon was very thoughtful and caring. He made sure that we felt comfortable, arrived on time, and enjoyed a comfortable commute between the locations. A well-planned itinerary allowed us to experience a diverse range of activities and see different sides of Uganda.
Furthermore, Jon is a very interesting person to talk to. We asked multiple questions about the past and present of Uganda, and eventually, we enjoyed a sort of mini-course in Ugandan history. Warm and welcoming!
I had a wonderful time in my 5 days here! The staff are all so kind. It's a family atmosphere that really made this female solo traveler feel very safe and comfortable. Mr. Bongani went out of his way to see that I was well cared for. He even sent someone to my airport hotel that escorted me (about a 5 minute walk) to the minibus that would take me to the lodge. They could have easily just given me directions on where to go to meet the bus, but it was early and dark and I was alone and jet lagged, so i really appreciated this touch. During my stay, Charlie was my guide during my game drives and he did an excellent job. He even saw rhinos at dusk that could have been easily missed. The panoramic drive, in which I saw Blyde Canyon among other great spots, was breathtaking. Charlie really knew his way around and gave me plenty of time to explore and take it all in. I never felt rushed.
The breakfast and the dinners were prepared by skilled cooks and it was all delicious. Eating dinner each night at a nicely set table beside a small campfire was delightful and memorable.
This lodge is a relatively short drive to both Kruger and Manyeleti Game Reserves, both of which you'll get plenty of time in and see a wonderful variety of animals (I got to see the Big 5, among many others). The lodge itself is in a village community, which I think adds a lot of value to the whole warm and welcoming experience. I'm so very glad I used Bongan Safaris and I hope very much to return someday.

Amazing Lalibela!
We had a great visit in Lalibela with Daniel, visiting stunning ancient churches, enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal and coffee ceremony prepared by his wife, and trying homemade alcohol and injera. We also hiked up to Asheton for breathtaking views, explored the bustling Saturday market, and attended Sunday morning mass. Lalibela left a lasting impression, and we recommend Daniel!
