Fantastic Safari! What an amazing experience!
I was initially really worried about transferring such a large amount of money to a non uk travel company (I booked for 4 of us for 4 days/3 nights). I had no reason to worry. I had communication with Safina throughout who reassured me & answered queries very promptly. To fly into the Serengeti on a small plane was a real treat! Our guide Kelvin was brilliant & he found the Big Five! I was so surprised how close we got to the animals and how many we saw! The Tented Lodges, food & staff exceeded our expectations. We were so well looked after throughout. Thank you Serengeti African Tours for a truly memorable trip!

Karina did an amazing job with organising our safari- perfect!
We booked from New Zealand so I was a little hesitant but I can honestly say we never had a hiccup. Loved our itinerary Karina put together for us- lodges and staff were wonderful. Loved flying in the small aircraft’s between lodges- cut down travelling time
Sundowners late afternoon were a great way to end the day. Highly recommend Safari Online

Africa Zim Travel are amazing, and gave us the holiday of a lifetime!
AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING.
From start to finish Africa Zim Travel were EXCEPTIONAL.
Pamela walked us through the booking process all over email - tailoring a few things to our needs. We added an additional night to the trip; we had two children (9 and 10) and Pamela secured family rooms at 3 of our 4 hotels; and there was one vegan dietary requirement. None of these were an issue before or during our trip. Pamela suggested switching one of our days (in Hwange) from two AM/PM tours to one full day tour too. We were wary of a 10 hour day with children so had initially opted for the shorter tours, but we are so thankful that she suggested we do a full day. We saw so much more and children loved it.
One thing we hadn't realised, was that we would be assigned a guide who would be with us throughout the trip. We were met at the airport by Stanford - who turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. He has left a mark on our family and we all miss him!!
Stanford was responsible for all our transfers and joined us on some of our tours too. We learnt to realise that his presence on the tours ensured a far better experience and we are very grateful for that. He taught us so, so much throughout the trip - not just about the animals, but the culture and life in Zimbabwe and Botswana. He went above and beyond for us during the trip arranging a few extras too.
The lodges all exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious. The tours were all fruitful with plenty of sightings and some fantastic Rangers. Everywhere we went felt safe and friendly. The border crossing was smooth. All the pre-trip info covered what we needed.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Africa Zim Travel.
The package of Hwange and Chobe was a nice combo. They were different and I'm glad we experienced them both. The itinerary was full, and we slept well each night! We actually added an additional day at the end to enjoy Vic Falls and recover and we're glad we did that. It felt like a lovely end to an active holiday and created a nice balance.
There were no "hidden extras" from memory. It was clear from the start of our communications what was and wasn't included in the price and in the trip. The "Tour of Vic Falls" seems to come up in reviews that I've seen. For clarity, it probably isn't a "tour" in the same sense as the game drives are. You get dropped off and pay the entrance fee ($50 adult, $25 kids) to the gated viewing area. We spent a little over 2 hours there following the trail along 16 viewing points. You could probably spend less or more time there depending on your preferences. For us, it was lovely to be able to spend some time walking after spending the previous days on the safari trucks and boats! But it isn't a tour with a guide. I believe they (the park) did provide tours though, possibly for an additional $25?
Overall, I think they offered great value. We had never been to this part of the world before and never been on a safari holiday and there is no way we could have organised this ourselves to this level. The itinerary was perfect.
As for the animals… wow… we saw most of what we wanted. Unfortunately no leopards, but we did see a cheetah with her cubs! We also saw her hunt and catch! The combination of two national parks as well as the combo of drives and cruises offers plenty of opportunity (in my opinion) even in such a small space of time. Hippos, crocs, buffalos, jackals, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, many antelope species, snakes, lizards, many birds, monkeys, baboons… Fantastic, and very very close.
We went in the final week of May. No rain. Generally sunny every day, occasionally overcast in Hwange. It gets dark about 6pm; it's chilly in the morning and evenings. No issues with mosquitos - but we did use repellent twice a day. The Falls were wet and flowing!
Thank you Africa Zim Travel!

Beyond all expectations
Our 5 day/4 night safari was beyond expectation. From the pre booking right through to our last farewell, we were treated to the most
unforgettable experience. We had travelled from the US and Mexico and flew into JNB where we were greeted by our driver to wisked us off to
the Hazyview. There, we met our guide Simon; an incredible human being, with a heart of gold and a passion for nature. We were truly blessed to spend our five days with him.
Our safari was non stop adventure, sighting the big 5 plus more & more. Simon´s knowledge of the park, the wildlife and taking particular time to ensure we got to see our favourite animals was exceptional. Doug, our resident chef was also an amazing hand in the kitchen, laying on beautifully prepared breakfasts and dinners, al fresco with tablecloth and all. We just didn´t expect these inmemorable touches.
The Safari vehicle was pristine and comfortable, accomodation was superb in the 2 lodges Skuzuza, then Sakura.
We were also treated to Letters & Edward's morning bush walk- quite something. A sublime experience. If you want to safari, just book it with Wild Wings. Clare and the team attentive , responsive and very accesible.

Perfect
The trip was perfect from start to finish. Damian our guide and Samsun (kashada) the cook were both amazing. They were both super nice and very professional. Damian was an excellent driver and animal spotter. We managed to witness some rare moments. All over the trip the food was amazing. To resume it was beyond our expectations

The tour operator is reliable, attentive to clients, provides quality services.
The Victoria Falls Rainforest guided tour is an unforgettable experience! A qualified professional guide takes you around the different viewpoints. You enjoy the fantastic world of wild nature and learn a lot about the waterfall and the history of the place. To feel better, wear comfortable clothes and shoes and take sunscreen if you need. Drinking water and umbrellas were given to us by the tour operator. The tour is really worth the money you pay.
Special thanks to our guide Kudakwashe Ziwoni!

Excellent tour led by a fantastic guide (Johnny)
We saw almost all the animals we had hoped to see. Our guide Johnny was knowledgeable and knew all the right places to see the lions and cheetahs, and was also very friendly. I would recommend.

We had an exceptional experience in Masai Mara with Johnnie.
Johnnie took us on a 3-day tour of Masai Mara from Nairobi. We had an exceptional experience.
Johnnie did everything to make sure that our safari experience was as thorough as possible and went out of his way to accommodate many of our viewing requests in the park — we were able to see lions, buffaloes, and elephants (three of the Big Five, which was significant given the time of year and length of the tour), giraffes, zebras, birds, among others. He is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and answered our questions about the park and wildlife. The comfort level in the 4x4 was high, and we were able to get in close proximity of the animals.
The accommodation was comfortable, with a spacious tent, private bathroom, and satisfying meals (with substantial vegetarian offerings).
We would strongly recommend this tour to others.
