6 days safari tour with Amazing Memories
We spent 6 days on safari with Amazing Memories. The communication was great from the beginning and they even booked train tickets for us as we continued to Mombasa after the safari tour.
Our driver John was awesome! He was really kind, funny and explained us a lot about animals as well as life in Kenia. He always tried to accommodate our needs and wishes.
We really enjoyed the time on safari as well the time with John and it was an unforgettable trip (so far our best vacation :)).
We definitely recommend Amazing Memories to everyone thinking about go on a safari!

This is the best, everyone should try their moonlight Safari.
So we got picked at our hotel, we first went to the lookout cafe where the trip started. We were told about the Batoka Gorge by the tour guide, who is well acquainted with these things. We also visited the big tree and we got to taste his baobab gin, it was super cool! During the safari drive we so a large herd of Buffalos and elephants. The tour guide just knows exactly where to find the animals. In short it was a great trip and would recommend it without reservation.

Magic days in the Delta
Over the past 25 years I have made an average of four annual trips to nature reserves in east and southern Africa. Ten years ago i was fortunate to run into Walking Stick and their leader Philemon Kamogelo. The experiences Philemon and his team gave us then were never surpassed until my recent trip with my dear friend Melanie from Cape Town.
We had planned and booked our trip for late September 2023. A heatwave was rolling over Botswana at the time. We asked if we could postpone some months. Although Walking Stick had prepared everything for a 12 day trip into the Delta followed by Moremi, they agreed. Correspondence between Cape Town and Maun was lively. Whatever our questions and requests, we invariably had reply and comments within 24 hours. Walking Stick is not the most fancy and luxurious of safari companies. Fortunately. It is exactly because Walking Stick is not that Melanie and I consider Walking Stick the best and most exciting experience available anywhere in east and southern Africa.
Philemon was our guide. His team included a chef, a back-up driver, a camp assistant, and two mokoro sailors. All of them from there same little village of 500 souls, which use had the good fortune to visit. The visit to the village was important - Walking Stick is very much a community based enterprise involving the village in many ways and form. But even more exciting was our daily encounters with the wildlife. At our first camp, we sat at sunset facing the river. To our left was 13 giraffes and 30 elephants. Straight ahead was an endless line of buffaloes. Maybe 150. And everywhere around us impala, wildebeest and zebra. And up in the higher branches of the tree see sat under, three fish eagles scouted the river for a possible catch.
A typical day at the Delta would be up at 7.00, tea, off in the mokoros and a walk or two. Back to brunch, maybe shower, and chill. Lunch made on open fire, a siesta and off on an evening tour of the delta in the mokoros. Later in Moremi, same pattern except the mokoro time was replaced by game drives in the huge Landrover.
Philemon and his team are without comparison the best, most competent, and most knowledgeable i have come across in my 100+ safaris over the years. They have my highest and most unreserved commendation. A trip with them is a glorious memory for the rest of your life. When yo do go, don't forget to get Philemon to tell you why their company is called Walking Stick. Melanie is as enthusiastic as `I am, and we are already beginning to plan or return to the Okavango and Walking Stick.

Super nice guy, he had a lot of knowledge and always smiley
We were so lucky to see a wide variety of animals including leopards, lions, cheetahs, elephants and giraffes. The lodge we stayed at was superb. The accommodations were very well maintained and very clean. It was great!

Professional and knowledgeable well organised safari
Our guide Mandela was excellent! His knowledge of the national parks and the animals was amazing and we were able to see many different animals across the 4 days! The food provided by our cook James was all 10/10! Highly recommend and will be returning!

Honeymoon Safari
We booked our safari with Silus and he was always very helpful and responsive prior to arrival via WhatsApp. Helping us with accommodation suggestions and any questions we had. Our guide Linus was very friendly and always on time to meet us. He ensured we had the best safari experience helping us to see as many animals as possible. He also looked after us on our departure day taking us to a few sites before dropping us at the airport. We would certain recommend Rocktrek to anyone booking a safari in Kenya.

Miles above the budget price.
We booked expecting a budget (but non-camping) experience. Instead, we had Pamela meet us at the airport and then see to absolutely everything else. She took care of our three-person family, only. We were not grouped in with other travelers! The lodgings were also far above what we would consider "budget."
In addition to the regular 8-day "budget" tour to Vic Falls, Chobe, Elephant Sands, and the Delta, we requested an add-on day trip to Hwange. While the road to Hwange is terrible, Africa Zim accommodated this request, and we were very happy with that tour as well.
The only flaw at all is that the information we had did not make clear to us that we would be taken care of so well!

Experience of a Lifetime
The safari was an incredible experience that everyone should do once in their lives. I highly reccomend a trip to both Masai Mara and Nakuru as it allows for the best opportunity to see all of the big 5. Additionally, 4 days was the perfect amount of time to see everything and not feel like we missed anything. We had great guides/ drivers throughout including at the Masai village. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 for the slightly unorganized logistics (we switched tour guides/drivers and vehicles 3 times) and lack of notice that there would be no outlets in our tents at the first accommodations (it made charging our phones, our only cameras for the trip, very difficult). Overall, we had an amazing time and I would reccommend everyone have this experience.

Fantastic about communicating, arranged everything!
The whole trip from beginning to end was exquisitely planned. It was a massively good value for the money, and the location for the safari was fantastic. It was great to be able to customize the trip and add a trip to Cape Town... and the domestic flights were perfectly timed. I would recommend to anyone, and plan to use the exact same company when we return to South Africa! Wish we could do the exact trip again from beginning to end!

Very friendly people who want to do their absolute best for your experience
We had a great experience! Everything was taken care of by the tour operator. We were welcomed upon arrival. The safari tour itself was amazing. Our Ranger Joseph was an experienced an knowledgable guy. We had a chef joining as well who made some delicious food on the safari. Good value for money. Would very much recommend it!
