Terrific Safari package through several of Tanzania's most wondrous parks
I forget how I found Meru Slopes, but on more than one occasion I counted my blessings for having done so. Their service was so good I thought it might be a scam. From the moment I sent an initial inquiry to Jerome, who was wonderful in arranging everything throughout the whole process, to the moment I got dropped off the morning after the trip at the bus station, everything was first rate: the airport pickup and hotel in Arusha; the wonderful, knowledgable, and charismatic driver and guide, Stanley; the terrific chef, Buga; and the excellent itineraries we pursued in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I would (and will) highly recommend Meru Slopes to everyone I know.

Unforgettable experience
I took 4days safari and I think it’s an optimal time, cause we did see a lot and were a little bit tired the last day. Maasai Mara is great, a lot animal we saw there, even cheetah that I didn’t expect to see at all. All animals were so close that you almost can touch them! Our guide Khalifa was just a perfect person to tell you about animals, culture and life in Kenya in general, we leaned so much. The only animal we were not lucky to see is leopard, but it doesn’t matter a lot for me.
Accommodation in Maasai Mara was very simple, I would recommend my friends to pay more to live in a better camp, cause I choose a budget option. Accommodation in Nakuru was great, with a very good dinner.

Booking with Calvin was a really good process. He put all worries and answered all questions before the trip, accomodation included was fantastic and really made the trip. Calvin was very hands on and checked in daily whilst out on safari. He gave gifts before and after the safari was complete and organised airport transfers. I would definitely book with Calvin again as he is very trustworthy and will organise a great safari experience.

Ganyana Safaris Uganda have been amazing to deal with from the first contact …. Arranging itinerary and then the trip …. Very professional and helpful…. The hotels and food included in the package were perfect …. The safaris and additional trips ( chimpanzees and gorillas) were just perfect with my very helpful and knowledgeable guide helping me to get the perfect group walk for the gorillas. First, visit Kenya and the warm inviting Kenyans. Second, choose Hyrax when you go.
We wanted to use a local tour company and were recommended to Hyrax by a friend from the US. Roselyn, Tony and the team of drivers and guides were very experienced, professional, knowledgeable, fun and easy to relate to.
Roselyn planned/arranged our 2 week itinerary, which included Masaai Mara for safari, Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Diani Beach. We also spent a few days at the start and end of our trip in Nairobi. Our travels from place to place were seamless and safe. Hyrax’s safari jeep was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Our group had some change requests during planning and after arrival and Roselyn was responsive and accommodating. She was also very accessible during our visit and easily reachable via phone or text.
We chose the luxury accommodation package, that included drivers and guides for each leg of our trip (including airport pickup and drop off). We stayed at places that exceeded our expectations. Ashnil Mara Camp and Swahili Resort at Diani Beach were particularly breath-taking with superb service. We also had very good stays at the hotels in Nairobi where hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming
Tony, our safari driver, made our safari memorable and fun. Every day of safari was amazing. We observed other drivers and he was simply the best out there! Tony knows his way around the parks and is extremely knowledgeable about the animals (from the Big 5 to individual bird species). He also has a keen ability to spot and get safely positioned for the best views and photographs of the animals. We captured phenomenal pictures and videos. While on safari, we decided to do a balloon ride and Tony quickly connected us with a top notch company that he trusted. We also got to discover his “quiet humor”.
Our guided tours of beautiful Nairobi were very enriching and well organized. We learned so much about Kenya’s history and current culture.
I’ve recommended Hyrax to friends and family and highly recommend them to anyone traveling to Kenya. The experience with them, end-to-end, was wonderful.

A fantastic trip from start to finish!
We had 3 whole days and 2 half days of game drive in the Masai Mara. The trip was well organised with helpful package information before hand. Transport sorted for the whole trip and all planned very well.
Jamlick, our tour guide, was amazing. He knew his stuff about all the wildlife and went above and beyond to make sure we got the best safari possible.
On time every single time and ready to go to find secluded spots where we would find some of the rarest wildlife!
