Review about South Africa by Lilian Ruzius
Overall rating
5/5

South Africa is a mixture of all scenery we love. You can drive from desert, to mountains to unspoiled beaches in just one day. The views are breathtaking. The added value of SA are the animals, lovely people and the great food and wines.
We will be back to explore more :)

The safari exceeded my expectations, I highly recommended booking through them.
5/5

Cuan from African Ubuntu Safari's was excellent. My family booked through Cuan for a week long safari after my husband and I were married in Botswaba. Due to unprecedented rain in Botswana in March the air strip and accommodation we were supposed to stay in at the Okavango Delta was unusable. We were a party of 12 so it would have been difficult to book accommodation at the last minute. Cuan managed to organise flights to a different airstrip, and a personalized 'glamping' experience. The food was excellent, the service and staff's knowledge was exceptional. The experience well exceeded my expectations. I highly recommended using Ubuntu Safari's because we had such a lovely holiday and also because the customer service from
Cuan extended from when we were enquiring about booking the tour until the we returned to Australia.

I booked a safari in Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, and it was amazing!
5/5

I went to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve with my goddaughter just for a weekend, being hosted at Tilney Manor lodge. It was indicated by Travel for Life as the best safari near Cape Town. And it's really fantastic. Everything happened as planned and I appreciate what Travel for Life did for us. Amazing!

Excellent and thoughtful vacations, made EASY!
5/5

Pembury Tours made our vacation and the planning process extremely enjoyable and relaxing! Gail did a great job presenting us with options and laying out cost implications for our selections. She made all the bookings and answered our detailed questions about traveling in the region. On the trip, everything was smooth and seamless. We would absolutely recommend Pembury to anyone we know traveling to the area!

Amazing 4-day safari
5/5

I have to mention The Back of Africa's representative, Allan. He was amazing. His email correspondence was super prompt and he was extremely thoughtful throughout the entire process (reservation, downpayment, ...). He even called our driver on our second day of safari just to check if we are satisfied and if everything is ok. Really amazing service on their end.
Moreover, we had a really great time and saw every one of Big Five group. Our driver and the cook were both great and really did their best.
Our driver Erick even communicated with other drivers to find out where the most interesting animals were located and took us there. All in all, it was a great experience. And even though it was a rainy season we had very nice weather.

Impeccable service!
5/5

The service provided was impeccable! Liz and team were quick to respond and more than patient in answering our endless questions. I requested a couple places for my trip, and they took the time to thoroughly look into each and provide the best options for me to choose from. We loved their suggestions and had a trip of a lifetime! I've already recommended Liz and team to so many people and swear that they will be well taken care of and set up with a memorable and beautiful journey!

Kilimanjaro and Safari
5/5

I have been to many countries. This might be my favorite trip of all. I am Canadian and still keep in touch with people from Nairobi to this day.

We started our trip in Kenya without our luggage. Dickson could not have been more supportive. He and his wife were ready to get us supplies and gear from their various connections. I was put at ease with how kind and gracious their were. The accommodations were excellent for an African adventure.

Kilimanjaro was difficult but a huge accomplishment. I was supported the whole way. We had one person forget to bring a warm jacket and Thermorest after a day of hiking. The guide got someone to run down the mountain, buy the items and run the 8 hour hike back up to meet with us so the guest was warm and supported. I was impressed at how far the guide was willing to go out of his way to help. The adventure of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was awesome. The people, climate, and experience was something you could not get anywhere else.

The safari experience was breath taking. We were lucky enough to go on 6 safaris when we were in Kenya. We went to Kenya not really knowing how many animals we would see. I was shocked at the amount of each animal we were able to see. Any animal you could think of in Kenya we saw. The guides were knowledgeable and kind. I could go on and on about the people and animals we encountered in Kenya and Tanzania.

I don't usually go to the same country more than once but I think I will go back to Kenya at some point in my life. It was that good of an experience.

Perfectly tailored and responsive assistance
5/5

My husband and I got in touch with Tammy at Pembury Tours as we were searching for a safari lodge to book as part of our honeymoon. Tammy was so helpful in providing knowledgeable recommendations and then helping us to narrow down our search based on the key things that we were looking for on our trip. Once we were happy with the beautiful itinerary that she sent, the booking process was simple and straightforward, and Tammy was in touch to let us know that everything was confirmed. I thought it was really nice that she even recommended to help with suggestions for other parts of our trip that we didn't book through Pembury, and she always gave her mobile number which made us feel like if anything went wrong she'd be just a phone call away.

Our safari was with Lion Sands and we stayed at Tinga Lodge. The lodge is beautiful and the service was great. The game viewing was amazing, and we saw the Big Five in the first 24 hours of our arrival in the bush.
