Best day hike to Kilimanjaro
Emmanuel with Telly African Safaris was our guide and he planned the perfect day for us. I was a bit hesitant to climb in that elevation coming off a two week safari. Emmanuel knew just what to do telling us to hike “ pole, pole” slowly, slowly and he would stop us to take frequent breaks and sips of water. After an hour, everyone had acclimated to the elevation and could enjoy hiking in the beautiful rain forest. You pass streams and waterfalls, and find monkeys and birds along the way. The path is well groomed and there is even men’s/women's toilets with running water and toilet paper about every 1.5 hours on the trail!!!
The terrain changes as you leave the rain forest canopy and climb to the crater. Emmanuel has made over 400 trips to the summit and we were able to get good advice about making the full climb when we return in a year. Emmanuel carried our one backpack and the most wonderful box lunches for us. Our only responsibility was to enjoy the beautiful day. He even brought aluminum hiking poles for each of us. This was the perfect opportunity for us to get acquainted with Kilimanjaro mountain. Can’t say enough good things about our guide and this Telly African Safaris experience!

Lilian was our contact point and she was extremely warm and helpful from Day 1.
She understood our requirements and suggested a 5 night iternary for us .
She was always available for any questions doubts we had . Once we arrived Lilian came over to meet us at Arusha with David who was to be our Driver and Guide through the trip

We then finally started our trip from Arusha
We drove to Ngorongoro on Day 1. David was very professional and right through the trip we felt very comfortable with him. He had done a 3 year intense course n Wild Life management and his knowledge on the subject was top notch. We learnt a lot about each animal / bird we came across and he also gave us a history of Tanzania, and all the places we visited
We spent 2 nights at the crater . A must visit as the topography and views and the sighting of animals is great .
We then drove into Serengeti. Stayed at The singing grass camp. It was just wonderful. Great location/ right in the middle of the bush. Very comfortable and great service . We felt it was very personalised and we were looked after very well by the entire staff.
Overall an excellent trip .
David I must say was a big asset to us as he made our entire trip so interesting. He was very enthusiastic about showing us the best sightings possible , he would try and keep away from the crowd so we can get better sightings , and he knew the bush area , locations , watering holes and where we would find the best sightings / viewings at the back of his hand . Extremely disciplined as well to follow the rules and respect the wild life and its surroundings .
Great driver as well
We had a great trip and I would use Zohar and David again when we visit Serengeti in future for sure .

Organised, thoughtful and beyond knowledgeable
One of the best experiences of my life!
Our guide, Rocky, was there with us from start to finish and seemed to know everything about every animal (birds included!). He was super patient, stopping whenever there was something that interested us, and was happy to share his wealth of knowledge with us the whole trip. We even managed to get to see the Big 5 which was more than we had expected!
Tito, our chef, was also absolutely lovely and the food was excellent every single meal.
We chose to camp all the nights and because of this we got to experience the wildlife in such a unique way while also feeling safe and protected.

Challenging the old ages, visited Kenya to explore the great Maasai Mara National Reserve. 🐾 It’s a unique experience as we drove through the wildlife with all herbivores, carnivores and its balance environment with magnificent landscapes.
All the credit goes to Mr David and the company Easy Budget Safaris Ltd, for making us so confident going on this adventure. As he was well coordinated with us since beginning, we were able to visit Maasai Mara National Park, Lake Naivasha Hell’s Gate National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park and even Amboseli National Park with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background 🏔️as well.
The guide also added a great value on this unimaginable wildlife experience with his fruitful explanations on animal behaviours. He allowed us to spend more time with every great safari moments.

Excellent Tanzania Local Safari Company
We were looking for a local and woman owned company and then we found Zohar African Safari. We traveled with family and friends in 8 people. It was an awesome experience. We had two cars and two guides. We could not had better guides than Tom and Solomon. They went far and beyond to please us . They were very knowledgeable, pleasant and respectful men . We saw all the 5 Bigs and much more animals than expected Having a happy hour in the safari at the sunset was an extra touch of kindness. Efficient, organised, friendly
Myself and my partner visited the Masai Mara & Nakuru over a 5 day trip. We were picked up from our accommodation on time, taken to the offices in Nairobi to finalise payments & paperwork and then we were on our way! Driving to Mara was tiring, but stops were made along the way to stretch the legs/buy snacks and drinks. We arrived at our camp where lunch was prepared upon our arrival. After lunch, we went on our first game drive which was excellent. We did a total of 1 afternoon drive & 2 full game drives (with packed lunches prepared), and it was safe to say our trip would not have been half as good if it wasn't for our outstanding guide and driver Soloman. He was professional, knowledgeable and most of all, friendly. 16 years of experience clearly paid off as the sightings were simply magical. We cannot thank Soloman enough for his efforts.
The food is basic, but sufficient, and the accommodation is basic but comfortable & clean. The hosts at the camp were extremeoy friendly and happy to help in anyway.
If you choose Jocky (which you should!), ask and keep your fingers crossed for Soloman as your guide & driver. He is the reason the trip was 5 stars.

Unreliable
Robert is very unreliable and not honest about the tours he offers.
I booked a private tour with Robert (the owner of African Wanderlust Adventures) for two people to visit Oldupai Gorge, the Laetoli Footprints, the Endagulda cave paintings, and a few other sites, for three days. The itinerary was great and we were very excited. The morning of the tour, we paid the full amount, and only 4 hours into the day we found out that we would NOT be visiting almost HALF of the sites on the itinerary. I immediately called Robert, who refused to give us any refund (even a partial one), and refused to extend the trip so we could see the rest of the items. There were 9 items on the itinerary that we agreed to, and we only ended up seeing 5 of them. Two of the sites we missed were things that I EXPLICITLY asked to include, including the Laetoli Footprints, and the Endagulda cave paintings (both of which we did not see). It was a major disappointment, and I do not know when (if ever) I will have time to return to see them.
Anyone considering booking a tour with Robert, I would suggest you look elsewhere. He cannot be relied upon to keep his word, and you cannot trust that he will honor the itinerary.
