Yes it is value for money, they are very very reliable in handling your booking and communications, and in best best service they provide. The tour is fabulous. This is the best best tour company I have ever had. Its much much better in all the ways. I think they deserve to be rated as 10 stars not 5

The most incredible experience
Couldn’t have asked for a better safari!! We did the 2 night trip visiting Tarangire, ngorongoro and the foothills of Kilimanjaro. The whole process went so smoothly, our organiser Macriner kept in touch from when we booked and met us at the airport to welcome us, so we were informed about everything. Our safari guide, Barton, also met us at the airport and made every effort to ensure we got the most out of our tour. He was so knowledgeable, and never rushed us as we wanted to stop and look at various animals. Delicious meals were included as picnic lunches and in the hotels we stayed in overnight. Would also really recommend the cultural experiences at the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Our guide for this portion, Godlisten, was also very attentive and kind and led us through the whole day of hiking through to the waterfall and a coffee making workshop. Felt like the price we paid was more than reasonable for what we got, especially given that they arranged for airport transfers on both ends and how much attention to detail was present throughout. Overall, couldn’t recommend this company more and thanks so much for an amazing first trip to Tanzania!!

Everything you could want in a guide and tour
Antonio was the best safari guide we could of asked for. He was extremely professional and really cared about our happiness. His driving was also very impressive. We always felt safe with him and our needs were his number one priority at all times. My dad's birthday was during our trip and he had contacted the hotel to sing to him with a birthday cake after dinner. There was also a birthday card waiting in his room when he returned from dinner. He made the day even that much more special. On the day of our departure we arrived very early to Nairobi and instead of dropping us at the airport to wait around for hours, he brought us sightseeing. I would highly recommend Tony and would use his services again whenever I return to Africa.

A varied experience, loved the safari- but was hungry, beach was great and rested with better food.
Loved the safari experience- the animals and the tour was amazing. The guide and people too, were fantastic. The food for lunch and dinner whilst on safari was poor. Make use of the amazing ingredients to make beautiful meals as opposed to trying to make western meals poorly.

Absolutely amazing!
We had the most incredible experience with Serengeti smile. Our guide, Libe, was the best we could have asked for. Travelling with him was like travelling with a friend. He knew our favourite animals from just a couple of sightings of them and continued to provide us with the best possible sightings of those animals! He was very well informed about all of the animals and answered every question we had in detail.
I could not fault Serengeti smile. From the hotels to the guide and the organisation of the whole trip. Definitely the experience of a lifetime thanks to serengeti smile.

Amazing experience!
I did the Mikumi safari and the Udzungwa forest trekking in august 2023 and it was an incredible experience!
Francis is an amazing guide! He came to pick us up early and we drove all the way to Mikumi in the super comfortable safari car with water included! The two days safari went very smoothly, we got to see a good variety of animals and Francis kindly explained a lot of things to us! The lodges were very nice and comfortable, nice food. The trekking was nice and long, we really enjoyed it. I really think the experience is worth the money it costs, the services are good and they take very good care of you!

Lion King made my family feel safe, welcomed, and pampered during a wonderful safari in Tanzania.
Initially I booked directly with Lion King for my family's first safari because it was substantially cheaper than booking through a U.S. travel agent. Ultimately, I am delighted that I booked directly with Lion King because once we arrived in Tanzania every detail of our trip was taken care of. Our guides treated us like long lost family, our tours were well-planned and executed, and our accommodations were excellent. Our travel vans were very comfortable and reliable (we did witness break-downs of several Safari vehicles from other companies). From my first contact with Lion King to our return to the U.S. communication was prompt, responsive and clear. My family - aged 17 to 75 - all loved our guides Mwita and Joseph, and were amazed by the animals we saw. We appreciated our visits to the Masai and Mataruni villages, and believe we got great value and service for our investment. Many thanks to all the staff at Lion King, and especially Mwita and Joseph.
