Anja was the absolute best!
Anja really listened to my ideas of where I wanted to go on my self guided tour in Namibia, especially Tsumeb where my parents had lived and worked in the 1950's. She helped put together an itinerary that incorporated her expertise about central and Northern Namibia with my interests, that ended up being exactly right for me. She even pivoted on a dime to do a last minute change during the trip, which worked out perfectly. She checked in on me during the tour, gave me a suggestion for a game tour that turned out to be spectacular. The vehicle provided was reliable and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the sight seeing flight over the Namib Desert and the Skeleton Coast that she arranged. Now that I'm back in Toronto and reflecting on the trip, I'm so glad I picked Great Explorations Namibia - would recommend it to anyone wanting to do a self driving tour. Ask for Anja - you won't regret it!

I had an unforgettable 4-day safari
The package included visiting 3 national parks with an amazing diversity of wildlife.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a true marvel.
The accommodations and facilities were okay. I stayed at campsites in tents with sleeping bags. The food was good, with dietary information obtained by the chef, there was plenty of variety.
I can’t recommend Suricata Safaris highly enough! From the moment I was picked up at Arusha Airport, the Suricata team took exceptional care of me. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, enhancing the experience with fascinating insights. Plus, their skill in spotting wildlife was impressive.
Overall, this safari was an extraordinary adventure, and I highly recommend Suricata Safaris for an amazing Tanzanian experience!

Good Experience, clear communicator
I really want to leave a five stars review for Top Cream Safaris and his crew, but the experience left me with a bittersweet taste in my mouth.
We had three days in Masai Mara, and while the experience was amazing, the driver—despite having a limited English vocabulary—was good. There was a questionable pit stop at a wholesale gift shop that made us wonder about the legitimacy of his intentions, as we later found out that we had significantly overpaid for some items to bring home to our dears. However, Top Cream was helpful in accommodating a last-minute change in our dates due to a miscalculation on my part. In terms of service, I would give them five stars.
The problem arose even before the trip started. I had never gone on a safari before, and I assumed it would be in a Jeep. Initially, the very first estimate sent to us did mention a van, but I hadn’t noticed it. When we received the final quote and signed off on it, the type of vehicle line item was removed. So, it was surprising to see a van outside the hotel instead of a Jeep on the morning of the trip. When I called to inquire, they mentioned that the initial estimate included a van as a line item. Genuine mistake perhaps, but it’s a detail worth noticing since we were fairly surprised.
In short, if I were you, I would make sure to clarify what type of vehicle is included in your estimate if it’s not mentioned explicitly. Request this information to avoid surprises like we experienced.

Classic Journeys Africa was always customer oriented and strove to make us all happy.
Classic Journeys provided excellent customer service from our arrival in Nairobi until our departure. They saw to all our needs and provided excellent accommodations and transportation throughout. Our guides, particularly Daniel, were knowledgeable and personable.
I only wish we had a little bit more downtime as we were on the move continuously. In addition, this tour was "organized" by a third party and communications with the group were sometimes a bit disjointed.

Unforgettable African experience
We had an amazing time exploring Rwanda and Uganda together with our guide Barack.
He is a skilled and knowledgeable professional with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. And...whenever there is a problem, Barack will always find a solution :).
Simply, a great company for your trip! We enjoyed everything. Thanks a lot!

Incredible Safari Experience
In June, we went on an 11-day safari with Walking Stick in the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai Concession and Chobe National Park. The communication with Walking Stick in advance was good; our inquiries were answered promptly. As agreed, we were picked up at our hotel in Maun and went to the Okavango Delta for 2 days. In addition to the Mokoro tour, the guided walks in particular were a special experience that we really enjoyed. It was very impressive how our guide Emanuel spotted the animals and predicted their behaviour. We never felt unsafe during these walks.
We went on to Moremi, where we camped at a very nice spot at the Khwai River, with a view of elephants crossing the river. The game drives in Moremi, Khwai and Savuti were very exciting and eventful. We saw an incredible number of animals, in addition to elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, giraffes, zebras, we also had some excellent lion and leopard sightings. The wild dogs with puppies were a particular highlight. Our guide Gabana responded fully to our requests, spared no effort to find the animals and always had a very good eye for great photo opportunities and optimal lighting conditions for taking pictures. The places he chose for an evening sundowner were always very special. We really enjoyed the game drives with him.
The rest of the crew was also super nice and went out of their way to make our vacation special. The tent was spacious and comfortable with the integrated shower and toilet. The food was very good and plentiful. We didn't have to sacrifice comfort during the 11 days in the wild.
On the way from Savuti to Chobe River Front, our safari vehicle had damage that could not be repaired. Phillomon immediately arranged for a replacement vehicle to pick us up so that we could complete our planned game drive the same evening. It was impressive how quickly the spare part was organized and the vehicle repaired, so that we could bring our safari to a successful end without restrictions.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience in the middle of the wilderness with an incredible crew and unforgettable impressions. Our best safari yet. We are already longing for a repeat of Walking Stick Safari in the next few years.

Mindful, caring and the tour was successful
The experience with Netherken was on top notch. High quality service was maintained from day one to the end. Very effective on time reliable communication. The tour was worth my money and I was very grateful indeed.

Treated Us and Cared for Us Like Family
We had the most amazing trip to Kenya and Uganda -- all made possible by Dume Africa, and especially Henry, our guide. Henry worked with us for more than a year putting together the best itinerary -- and, he was so helpful in making great suggestions for activities we had overlooked. From meeting us at the airport, to driving us across the country, to giving us great information about animals, plants, and various sites -- every detail was addressed. My wife broke her knee and it "went bad" right before our trip -- requiring a knee replacement when we got home. Henry adjusted everything and took precious care of her -- helping her, changing the itinerary, and giving her special activities or service when she could not participate in something that the rest of us did. Henry's colleagues and staff were also great -- we had a wonderful trip through Nairobi National Park and great reception service in Uganda. Henry also helped us when we ran out of money to find the right bank that could help us. We won't travel to Kenya again, unless we can have Henry as our guide!

Unique and awesome safari experience in the Kruger-Nationalpark
My trip to the Kruger-Nationalpark in particular and to South Africa in general was spontaneously undertaken. Considering this, I had a great experience from the flexible booking option online at home to the transport from and back to Johannesburg with kind drivers to the unique experience with all the animals I saw with Shandrack, who really was more a friend and buddy than merely a guide and who could explain something substantial about every animal in the park! Next time I would consider doing a trip for four days, because you can never see enough. Another highlight was the good food at the lodge, where I stayed. All staff and personell I ever encountered was extremely friendly and service-oriented.
