An overall good experience with room for improvement
What we liked
- Our main contact person (Boniface) was super quick at responding and always very friendly and informative.
- The lodge we mainly stayed at (Arusha Farm House) was beautifully constructed, had a nice garden with pool, bar and sofas and a well equipped gym
- Both the safaris at Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro were absolutely amazing and we saw many of the animals that we hoped to see
- Between the two safari days we stayed at Suricata Boma Lodge, which blew our minds with its stunning views over Lake Manyara, friendly staff and authentically designed rooms
- Our guide on the Foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro tour (Balthazary) was happy and cheerful, and very knowledgeable. He shared lots of stories and facts about the places we visited, giving us insights into the life of the Tanzanian people today.
The coffee farm was also an incredible experience. We were given thorough insights into the production of coffee, from coffee berry to processing, and finally, to drinking it. It was the best coffee we have had in years, and the lunch we were given was the best food of our two weeks in Tanzania.
What could be improved
- The food was generally of a low quality. On the last day of our time with Safari Soles, one of us had a severe stomach infection (Campylobacter) because of the food. As we are writing, it has been two weeks since we came home and the infection has still not gone away. No guests should ever experience this again and we hope that this will be looked into.
- Although Arusha Farm House was beautiful on the outside, it was a terrible experience in. The acustics were awful, our entrance card had to be activated every day, the bed was hard, there was no hand soap, only half of the sockets worked, there were no bed lights and in the end, our toilet got clogged. Luckily, many of these things can be fixed quite easily and we really hope that this will be improved going forward.
- Our safari guide (Abouu) was mostly very quiet and did not communicate a lot with us. This was especially present on the first day in Tarangire National Park where he several times drove on, although we wanted to see the animals for longer, e.g. the giraffes, that we only saw once.
After we posted the above review, the owner of Safari Soles got back to us with a long and sincere response. He apologized for our inconveniences and promised to follow up with the relevant parties. Although it does not change the mixed experiences we had with Safari Soles, we very much appreciated the sincerity in this response.

The tour was excellent, everything was taken care of and the accomodation and food was great. Moses, our tour operator, was brilliant and very helpful. Would highly recommend

An amazing Safari I had never expected
Thank you Leisure specialist for making my dream come true. I had a 2 day safari with my family Ngorongoro and Serengeti it was wonderful. Our biggest dream was to see the big 5 and boom it was successful our guide was amazing with the explanation and information he has about wild life and the best sites to see what you wish ...though it's wild animals there's no guaranteed but he gives the best shorts. On behalf of my family thank you once again for the best Safari we had

They organized a very good Value for money trip for us to Zim and Chobe organized Everything very well, was a great trip made sure we had the best of everything. Incredible personnel.
My 13 days, Kenya and Tanzania Safari, were fantastic. I was able to visit the most iconic parks in both countries. Peter and his team overplayed their part in service delivery. I enjoyed the food and culture, and I loved the weather. Thank you for the experience, guys.

Fantastic Experience with Cuckoo Safaris!
We had an excellent experience with Cuckoo Safaris who arranged an 8-day Safari across Zimbabwe and Botswana. We were a group of 10 (two families with kids ranging age 11 to 15 years old) and we traveled in August 2024. We experienced spectacular game drives across several major parks where we saw an amazing array of animals, including a plethora of elephants, lions, leopard, zebra, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeest, cape buffalo, impala, warthogs, plus lots of interesting birds. Interspersed with the game drives were really fun activities like an evening dinner cruise down the Zambezi river, a feast fit for a king during a cookout under the stars at one of the game parks, and a helicopter flight over the Okavanka Delta. What really made the trip fabulous was our guide, Simon, who regaled us with fascinating stories about the animals, as well as educating us about the local customs and culture of the people. He made the whole experience come to life – we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We highly recommend Cuckoo Safaris, both for overall experience and value for money. They were responsive throughout our trip and flexible if we wanted to make tweaks to the itinerary. The only issue we had was in the Okavango Delta after Simon was no longer with us - the tour guide person who was supposed to meet us, Veronica, did not show up. Another person came the next day (Lwe) and he was very good.
