A great but tiring experience
5/5

One of the plus points with Viva Safaris is that they pick you up from your J'oburg hotel and drop you back there at the end of the safari which does make life a whole lot easier. What happens when you arrive at Tremisana? You drop your bags and head off on a game drive and twenty minutes later you arrive in front of 4 lions who are sunning themselves. After that , elephants, zebra's etc and then evening meal in the bush followed by 3 more lions, what a start! Next morning up at 5 for a game walk, fascinating. Then followed by an evening drive, a full day in the Kruger, another early morning drive and then back to J'oburg. a full on experience. Accommodation was good, food was fine. Also we got the impression thsat the people there , particularly the two who took us on the bush walk really cared about the bush and the animals

Perfect
5/5

Everything about the safari 3day-2nights that we had booked at Serena Mara was excellent. The staff at Axis were friendly and competent. The safari guide was on time to receive us at the Nairobi airport with a jeep in excellent condition. We had zero troubles on the long drive to the Mara and during the stay were helped by the guide at every step. He even stopped at the lake nyvasha on the way back to Nairobi which wasnt part of the original itinerary. We cant stress enough how good a time we had and would definitely recommend a safari experience at Mara and if my experience is anything to go by Axis Africa guys should be more than capable to organize one for you.

Best personalised safari experience
5/5

We went with Avocet Safaris as they provided a personalised itinerary based on what we liked and wanted to visit. This is something that was really important to us. They were also really flexible. It was a two-way communication approach instead of a company stuffing a package to us.
Jeff, the MD, is also really kind and took care of us since Day 1.

The price is reasonable, the food is amazing, the tour guide is knowledgable but most importantly, the experience was authentic yet safe. Thank you Jeff for everything. We hope to return soon.

Great service - Day trip in Nairobi
5/5

I had just 1 full day layover in Nairobi on my way back to Europe and contacted MC Flash and Peter. They were very accommodating and took really good care of me, showed me some great places and got to try some very local stuff as well. People in MC Flash are really friendly and surely Peter will do whatever it takes to make your trip memorable! Can only recommend them!

Thank you Nicole for planning our trip of a lifetime! Simply amazing!
5/5

The trip went off without a hitch. We were overjoyed with Nicole's attention to the smallest details, starting with her selection of hotels. Each hotel was superb and unique though our favorite was The Clarendon Fresnaye. We felt so at home. It was a marvelous place to unwind after 24 hours of travel. The trip culminated with Arathusa. The safari, the private room with a plunge pool, taking our meals overlooking a water hole was beyond deluxe. Also, the two days in J'burg at The Peech Hotel (again fantastic hotel, an oasis in the city) was a nice ending to our trip. Also, thank you very much for arranging the transfers. Our drivers were very professional, knowledgeable and happy to chat or stay quiet (they took their lead from us). This made our life much easier.

We feel very blessed to have "found" Nicole. We can't thank her enough for all she did to create this trip of a lifetime.

One small thing, we did not take the navigation with the rental car because Tim had a GPS (don't know if it's worth pursuing a refund or if it was included as part of the rental car package).

We would absolutely work with Nicole again, and will sing her praises to any friends who want to visit South Africa.

Do you book travel to Rwanda and Uganda?

Another crown jewel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. NgoroNgoro Crater holds a special place in Africa as the only self contained eco system within the crater! Rhinos, Lions, Leopards, Cape Buffalo and Elephant - The Big Five in one eco system within the Crater along with hundreds of birds and other species.

The greatest wildlife show on earth
Overall rating
5/5

Serengeti National Park is the crown jewel of all major national parks in Africa. Nowadays you will find many parks, conservation areas and private sanctiaries throughout Africa attempting to lure you to see "Wild Africa". But there is nothing compared to the original Serengeti. Serengeti has been around since the dawn of time and it was a national park hosting the greatest wildebeest migration in Africa long before any other parks in Africa even knew what Safari Tourism was. If you want to experience wild life at its raw natural self in the original form then you must go and see Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

Tanzania hosts the largest portion of the migratory route of the Wildebeest, Zebras and other wild animals as they search from North to South and follow the rains in the Serengeti National Park.

Great experience from start to finish!
5/5

Eyes on Safari was lovely to deal with from the moment we emailed with an inquiry. We only had three days to work with, including travel, and they were still more than happy to design a safari itinerary that fit our schedule. Our guide had 30 years of experience and it truly showed during our trip. Despite our short time, we saw almost every animal possible in the Masai Mara! We also loved the place they put us up at--Basecamp Masai Mara (Obama stayed there in 2006). And they did all of this on a budget! One tip--make sure you book a land cruiser as your vehicle. We did and as a result, we could go many more places than the vans could (which can't travel across river bottoms so you are limited).
