Our safari was an incredible experience made absolutely perfect by Cluster Leaf!
We took a 3 day, 2 night safari to Etosha National Park with Taedza Mtambanengwe (Mr. T) & Cluster Leaf safaris in May 2024. We were traveling from the USA with our newly 6 year old and knew that we would need to work with a company & guide who was able to accommodate our family so that it was a positive and pleasant experience for all of us. Cluster Leaf absolutely came through to make it a perfect, seamless trip & memorable trip!
The communication ahead of time was timely, efficient & easy. We opted for an all-in experience where we were picked up in Windhoek, driven to Etosha, had all accommodations & meals covered and we are SO glad we did! The price was incredibly reasonable and well worth the value we received. It was the best feeling to not have to worry about where to stop, how to get somewhere, where to find gas, how to navigate the park, etc. We loved that it was just our family & our guide, Mr. T. He knew where the good food was, where to stop for clean bathrooms & we had the nicest time learning more about Namibia on our drive. There were SO many things that we would not have learned or seen had we been on our own. Mr. T spotted so many animals that we would have 100% missed! He also has a fantastic network within the park and was able to get great tips from other guides and park rangers so he knew where to take us to see the animals. It's very clear that he is well respected at the park amongst his peers & staff.
Our animal sightings were incredible! We knew that animals sightings are never a given, but we had the combination of an experienced and knowledgable guide plus some good luck. We saw elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, rhinos, honey badger and so many others! Mr. T was great at pointing out & identifying birds, which we would have never thought to even look for!
All in all, we can't say enough good about Cluster Leaf. Mr. T was so kind and patient answering our sons millions of questions, offering his extensive knowledge about Namibia and Etosha, and generally just being a really awesome person to spend time with. We all talk about our trip fondly & it was all because of our decision to work with Cluster Leaf.

Natasha at Sun Safari's always books us the best camps and locations for incredible experiences!
I have been using Sun Safari's services for the last 10 years and I would not use any other company to book with. I have family still in South Africa and visit as often as I can and always add 2-3 private game reserves to each trip. The trip we just did was the best to date for our family of 5. We stayed at Umkumbe and Tangala this time and saw everything and then some more. In all my trips the leopard has always eluded me and this time we had lots of sightings in both camps, super special. I find staying 2-3 nights in each camp gives a more varied experience in both camps, camp culture and a chance to see different game, especially in the reserves backing onto Kruger. I can't wait to book my next trip...

Great Accommodations, Saw Many Cats
My partner and I did the 5 day Great Safari Tour of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. If we had to skip one with the fewest animal signings for us it would be lake Manyara. In September dry season between Serengeti and Ngorongoro we must have seen over 10 lions, 2 cheetah, about 4 jaguar. Serengeti is the peak.
Tour is nice, do not do the camping option, the next tier up the "Great" package is much better value. Suricata somewhat frustratingly changed hotels frequently from what we were quoted, the Suricata Bomba Lodge is 10/10 hence the 5 star rating. In Serengeti the Tent Lodge is a cool experience.
Tips: Suricata is good I would go with them again maybe the 4 day without Manyara. It gets so dusty on safari, bring a way to protect your camera and binocs. Don't be afraid to ask your driver to move for a better angle if you are trying to take a nice photo.
