Magical Wild Life

The animals that are inside the park are incredible, it is possible to see a very large number of different animals, it was my first visit to a Safari and I was amazed by all that I can see.

About: Botswana
Wonderful wilderness/wildlife experience in Chobe National Park.
Overall rating
5/5

The wildlife experience was wonderful. The scenery is rugged, but natural and interesting, not spectacular. The weather was good with a light rain each morning before sunrise. The camping accommodations were much too primitive for 69 year olds and described to us poorly. We were expecting ''glamping". Our guide, Issac, was charming, informative and extreemly well informed about the animals in the park. I was very impresssed with the ecology and conservation practices of the guides in the park. I was a little surprised when we watched ,disapprovingly as a guide roared his truck off road and up to a mating lion pair, to find there is no process in place to reprimand the display of bad judgement. The food was great and the overall experience wonderful. I would recommend this safari to others.

Safari in Rhino Ridge
Overall rating
4/5

Accommodations at Rhino Ridge were excellent. Room was beautiful, food was delicious, and staff very friendly and helpful. Weather in October was very pleasant. Expected to see a few more animals; however, I enjoyed seeing what we did. Had a walking excursion which was really fun.

Unethical company, avoid it.
1/5

While the camps and staff at the camps (Oliver's, Highlands) are indeed excellent, the management of Asilia is something I cannot recommend. Our trip was interrupted due to our plane crashing in the Lobo, Serengeti on Oct 25, and we had to miss 9 nights of stay at Sayari camp. The representatives from Asilia greeted us at the Arusha airport on the day we were evacuated. We told them we have to travel to Kenya because one of our family member was injured and was air lifted to Nairobi for treatment. The Asilia representative (Jeroen Harderwijk) told me that should we are able to continue if the injury was not serious, they will let us continue with our trip in Kenya at the Mara side. However, several days later, they would tell me this is not so, due to fear of liability. They will not give any credit or refund for the 9 nights we missed due to the plane crash. So in a nutshell, Asilia was trying to sell us more safari on the day we survived a plane crash! What a disgusting company. Further communication with the company did not clarify this. They basically said they will not help in making arrangements for remainder of our trip, and wished us good luck.

Fraudulent Company
1/5

My family just returned from a two week trip to Kenya. The first few days were great and we were really enjoying our trip until we got to the 3rd hotel and were told it hadn't been paid for. The remaining hotels on our trip and park fees were not covered, even though we paid for the entire trip upfront. We had to repay for all of these fees to upwards of several thousand dollars. Peter was evasive and would not let us know when or how he would repay these double payments. If you're I search for Peter Muthinja you will find he has a record of doing this under other company names. We managed to still enjoy our trip (with no help from e-travel management) the best we could, but this definitely left a lot of stress and a mark on our family's trip.

Serious, human and authentic.
5/5

Magic!!! I will remember for a very long time this safari organized by Kilimanjaro trip safaris. Everything was perfect. If you want an authentic safari with gold guides, this company is for you. After making many quotes, Kilimanjaro trip was the cheapest with superior performance compared to many competitors. We were 2 with my wife and had a perfect cook and a guide who spoke French. The 2 were extremely kind and we had a hard time leaving them. We were able to share meals, discussions and unforgettable moments with them.

If this company is simple and humane, the quality of the service is just as exceptional.
Thanks to Castro for this perfect organization.

Kajie Safaris helped enhanced my travel experiences in Uganda
5/5

Ronnie helped to organise my safaris to Kidepo and Lake Mburo, gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park as well as site-seeing visits in Lake Bunyonyi and Kampala. Ronnie is an extremely friendly and sincere tour guide. When you talk to him, you feel that he is listening to you, which not only makes for good companionship on the long drives but also enables him to tailor the travel to suit your interests. This is key; he has the knowledge and the contacts to make your trip to Uganda a better experience. He does this in a way that is not stifling, or pressuring you in any way to go to certain places or do certain things. He just facilitates the discussion to find out what you want to get from your Uganda experience, and then does his best to make it happen. During the visit itself he is flexible, willing to adjust the programme to match changing expectations. He is also extremely patient. I never once saw him lose his temper or get flustered, even in some stressful driving situations, which has the effect of making you feel at ease and enables the whole experience to be more enjoyable. I therefore highly recommend Ronnie and his company to all travellers going to Uganda.
