Trip of a Lifetime
5/5

We had a wonderful time on our safari trip with Endless Summer Tours. Rhys grew up in the area and has been going to the parks since he was a child, so he is well acquainted with all the details necessary to plan the perfect safari trip. His communication was excellent while planning our trip and we emailed back-and-forth many times customizing an itinerary just for us. When we arrived at the airport, he picked us up and took care of all the details after that. We drove the Panorama Route and spent a day at the Blyde River Canyon (in a park lodge cabin) and spent 4 days at Kruger (in 2 different comfortable, but not fancy bush camps) on full day safaris. Then we spent 2 days in the Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park on full day safaris, and then went to the St. Lucia Estuary for a wildlife boat ride. We saw so many animals, including the Big 5! Afterward, he dropped us off at the airport. He kept us on schedule the entire time. A problem did arise that our boat trip was canceled because there were not enough people booked, so he quickly got on the phone and arranged new boat trip with another company. The private safari drivers he hired were very informative and explained different facts about the many animals that we saw. He cooked regionally inspired meals, including South African braai (barbecue) over an open fire and everything was delicious. Rhys met us midday on our private game drive days and cooked us our lunch/brunch. It was truly the trip of a lifetime! We would highly recommend Endless Summer Tours.

Me and my friends, we enjoyed the whole journey right from the hotel to the game reserve at the board of Uganda and Rwanda. Plus the chimps and goliras tracking was an amazing experience..

JOHNBOW Tours and travel handled our latest vacation to mombas with the kids.
They are fair and quite helpful as they helped choose a hotel that would cater for the kids needs sufficiently.Their communication is top notch and a follow up on our stay during the vacation made us feel at home.
They understood their assignment and delivered beyond expectations.

They planned an exiting safari program.
5/5

We booked a 6days-5nights Kenya & Tanzania tour from and to Nairobi. Everything was smooth and we even got a free upgrade in our last hotel thanks to Rajab.
All the hotels were great. We had a nice view of Savanna in most of them and could see wild animals during evenings and mornings. They were all also very secure.
Our Kenya tour guid was Jeff. He was a well informed and warm tour guide who went above and beyond to show us the animals and explained their behaviors as well as introduced us to Kenyan culture.
Our Tanzania tour guide was Alan. He was a well seasoned tour guid who also went above and beyond to show us animals and explained their behaviors. We learned a lot from him about Animals as well as Tanzanian culture. On one occasion, he noticed that lions are hungry and said they will probably going for a hunt soon and so we waited and sure enough there was a hunt in 20 min.
The entire tour was definitely worth the value and we would love to do it again in future.

Amazing experience - bad organisation
2/5

I did a 6 day safari and the organisation here was very poor. Despite being assured i’d have plenty of time for my flight out of kenya, i almost missed my flight whilst the driver insisted in dropping every other person off first as it was a more convenient route for him (they were travelling between 4 hours to 1 day after me, so not urgent and dropping me off first would have added max 15mins to his driving). Everyday of the safari there was a late pickup, a failure to communicate changes in the schedule. What was worse that the driver generally seemed to have not been told, or had forgot, the agenda of my tour from the africa flash so was constantly asking me things I had not been told either (eg the name/phone number of the driver i was going to be dropped off with for the next days, where the meeting point was).

I’m an easygoing traveller and usually dont mind this sort of thing on normal holidays but when you’ve paid a lot of money (as these safaris are expensive) you do expect that the organisation at the very least would be in place.

In retrospect, i think it would have been less stressful and cheaper booking the hotels, transfers and safaris myself. Even one of the hotels I booked in the tour was not where I ended up staying because according to the tour operator supposedly the hotel had overbooked so I needed to be moved to another hotel (given all of the other things i experienced - i suspect that they had just failed to book my hotel).

I’m giving it two stars because despite my complaints above i did have a wonderful experience, i’m just not sure how much the tour organiser contributed to that.
