Amazing Safari Experience with Splendid Vacations!
From the very beginning, our experience with Splendid Vacations — through James, our tour consultant — was perfect! They truly understood our needs and helped us design the tour exactly the way we wanted. James was always attentive and open to all the changes we requested.
Once we arrived in Nairobi, our guide Masila was already at the airport waiting for us. Thanks to him, the safari exceeded all our expectations — he has deep knowledge of the areas and knows exactly how to track the animals. On top of that, he is a genuinely kind and helpful person, always supporting us with anything we needed and also very flexible.

Gustafabulous Day Tour of Kruger
Just enjoyed a fabulous day tour in the Kruger. Our exceptional ranger guide Gustafson was so helpful and supremely knowledgeable on the full spectrums of flora and fauna that we encountered. The Mo Africa admin in booking the trip was seamless and attentive and Gustafson was ready and waiting for us in advance of our pick up time at our accommodation. Importantly he seemed to have brilliant intuition on where to lead us for the best sightings and so we got to see about ten lions, hippos, buffalo as well as an amazing close up encounter with a leopard at about 2m…an unforgettable experience. This was the ultimate safari drive and Gustaf was truly a star. Wow factor of ten!!!

Amazing value for money
We had a really incredible 6 day tour with Meru Slopes. We were initially a little apprehensive as our tour was one of the cheapest tours available on Safari Bookings, but it turned out to be absolutely fantastic and worth every penny.
Our tour guide was super knowledgable and really great at getting us into perfect spots that other drivers would miss. He maximised our time game driving, typically setting out before the sun had risen. A hot meal for lunch at a park picnic site, then back on a game drive until 5pm or so. Our chef was excellent - cooking simple but hearty and delicious breakfasts, lunch, and dinner.
The Company went the extra mile for us - arranging transfers to the Airport; a last minute cultural experience at a Masai village; and a spare hotel room on our final day to shower before boarding our plane. All at no cost.
Accommodation was basic, but that’s what we paid for! The lodge we stayed in had a hot shower, AC, and a swimming pool. The campsites were very workable. Both had specific buildings for washing and eating. One site had hot showers, one didn’t. The tents were more than big enough for two of us.
All in, a great experience and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

We had a magnificent and amazing safari experience, travelling to Johannesburg, one couple from UK and the other from Australia, then travelling on to Kasane, Chobe and the Ngomi Safari private safari lodge. We were welcomed upon arrival with staff singing and giving us hot flannels. The food was amazing, service very personal and the game drives with Tebby fabulous. Then went to Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls and Batonka Lodge was also very welcoming, comfortable and good food. Had a helicopter ride over Victoria Falls which was fabulous. Then on to Kings Camp, Timbavati private game reserve, excellent accommodation, service and food once more.
The Guide Jason was fantastic, we saw all the animals in the wild and he gave us so much information and enjoyment on every game drive we went on.
All the transfers were perfect, on time and smooth with very friendly drivers, cold water and stops if we needed them, all completely reliable and on time.
All in all, we had the most amazing and fantastic experience of a first time on safari, so wonderful!

Amazing Safari
Everything was great, the accommodations were fantastic on the midrange safari and I saw all of the big 5 and lots of other animals. My only advice would be to go for a longer tour if you can but even for a few days it was worth it. During the trip the tour operator checked in with me regularly to hear if everything was alright.

This was a wonderful safari! Abdul was very knowledgeable and knew the perfect spots to find all the animals. The service was phenomenal and the trip was very successful one, as we saw the Big Five, highly recommend using Abdul as a safari guide.

Great safari experience: 10/10
We just came back from an amazing 4-day safari tour! We are still deeply impressed by the landscape and animals but also very glad for the people we have meet and friends we have found along the way!
The safari was well organized starting from the booking and emails, airport pick up and hotel transfer. Daniel did a great briefing and made sure we were well prepared.
We also did a walking tour with Kevin the first day in Arusha, exploring the city and the local market - learning a lot about culture and local dishes.
Then we had 4 action packed days with our great tour guide Lewis. He does not only know the best places to spot animals (lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetah, hippos, buffalo, serval cat and many more - often including sweet babies) but Lewis was also super funny and shared lots of information about the animals, history of the Maasai and Tanzania. Our small group was a super team and this really added to the experience! Lewis made sure that everyone felt welcome and had a great time. We can definitely recommend Suricata Safari, especially our guide Lewis and will come back one day!
