Really nice. James is an amazing and very careful driver, Vinny has coordinated the tour really well.
I travelled with my wife in the land cruise and it was really comfortable.
The accomodations in the medium range are really more than what needed. The Sentrim Amboseli is outstanding!

Safari offered everything we hoped for
Our safari was fantastic and everything we hoped for! We had three night safari that included Nyerere, Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains national parks. We saw a lot of animals (a lot of lions!) and beautiful scenery.
Our guide Joakim (hopefully I got the spelling right) was excellent guide, very helpful, reliable driver and had so much information about the animals. We really enjoyed his company.
Communication was clear and fast from the beginning and Shammah Wonders were very helpful as we had few questions. All in all everything went well from the booking to the end and we were very satisfied and happy that we chose Shammah Wonders.

Very professional and knowledgeable
This company was very hospitable to us, and was perfectly on time. Hillary was our guide and he was fantastic. He made sure to get us close to of all the animals we wanted to see, and he was always watching for things that we might have missed. He knew all of the history and answers to our questions. The ride was very smooth and the vehicle we were in was quite nice. Towards the end of the safari we had lunch provided at a picnic area by a lake with hippos, which was awesome. Definitely recommend this company if you are looking for a great safari.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Amboseli with Hyrax Safari, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless, thanks to their meticulous planning. The team at Hyrax Safari took care of everything, from booking flight tickets, arranging park fees, and reserving our hotel, they were making the entire process stress free.
Our guide, Dan, was truly exceptional. He was always punctual, incredibly professional, and very kind. His deep knowledge about every animal we encountered made the safari so much more enriching. Dan was also very considerate in tailoring our experience. Knowing we would visit Masai Mara next, he made an effort to focus on showing us the rarer animals in Amboseli rather than those we were likely to see later. This thoughtful approach added so much value to our trip.
Beyond that, Dan’s respect for wildlife was inspiring. He was considerate of every animal, always giving way to those crossing the road, and ensuring their natural behaviors were not disturbed.

Professional and reliable
We booked online in November and Amos was our contact. We booked 5 days, 4 nights. We were picked up from Arusha and went to Tirangire National park and saw a good selection of wildlife, including large numbers of elephants. The lodge that night was great as were all the others we stayed in. The next day was the Ngorongoro view point, it is breathtaking, and then onto the Serengeti. It was difficult to take in everything we saw, and that is why I documented it. Cheetah, 19 lions in a group, wonderful birds including a Tawny Eagle and Maibou storks. We stayed overnight in the Serengeti, which was an amazing experience. Day 3 was Serengeti and I will never forget the sight of a female lion in a tree. That night we stayed at a lodge on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. We were so cold when we went back to our wonderful room, and there were hot water bottles in the bed! Day 4 was the crater, and a huge amount of wildlife, including lions laying against our vehicle. Our last day was lake Manyara, and the sight of so many elephants, with their young, will stay with me forever.
Our driver/guide was Noely, and he was perfect for us. He had great knowledge of animals and birds, and went the extra mile to ensure we saw so much. He is interested in photography, and had his own camera. He gave great tips and advice so that we got amazing photographs. We drove approximately 1400 kilometres, and he was such a safe driver, and great company.

Hillary is very information about East Africa and its wildlife.
When traveling abroad, the best experience is seeing all of the beautiful places without feeling like a tourist. Hillary(Our guide) felt genuine and was extremely easy to talk to. He was extremely knowledgeable (has been guiding for a long time and was an engineer at one point) about the safari and even answered so many of my questions about Tanzania and his experiences in Zimbabwe. Would recommend this company and Hillary to everyone.
