Unforgettable First Africa Experience with Big Apes and Our Exceptional Guide Jackson
My wife and I recently completed our very first African adventure, and we chose Big Apes to plan our journey a decision we’re truly grateful for. We booked the tour about two months in advance, and throughout the entire process, the team at Big Apes was supportive, responsive, and thoroughly professional.
What truly elevated our experience, however, was our guide, Jackson. We can’t thank Big Apes enough for assigning him to us. Jackson became the face of our first African experience someone we’ll always remember when we talk about our trip. His dedication to making us feel comfortable was evident in every detail. He consistently went the extra mile to ensure we had the best possible experience.
Jackson was always punctual, ensuring we arrived early for all activities and avoided long queues. He stayed connected with fellow guides for real-time updates on animal sightings in the parks and worked closely with hotel staff to ensure our accommodations and meals were well taken care of. With a degree in tourism and hospitality, his knowledge of local culture, cuisine, wildlife, and birdlife was impressive. He shared insights without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between informative and relaxed guiding.
We thoroughly enjoyed his company and would wholeheartedly recommend him as a guide for anyone visiting Uganda. We would definitely request him again for our next trip.
While the overall experience was exceptional, we did feel that the vehicle provided was quite old and lacked a functioning air conditioner, which was a bit of a letdown. However, aside from that, everything else was handled excellently, and we truly appreciate the effort Big Apes put into making our trip so memorable.

What a fabulous experience! Our tour guide, Spencer, was friendly and so knowledgeable. He knew so much about animal behavior that enabled him to not only tell us about an animal, but also its intentions. He worked with a network of other guides to go to hard to find animals like leopards and lions. We saw so many animals every day: zebras, giraffes, hippos, lions, leopards, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, all kinds of birds, and many more. We camped in three sites, two nights at each site. The crew set up our roomy tents that included a queen size bed, off the floor, two night stands, and an enclosed pit toilet and shower attached at the back. We had great meals: breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack and dinner. We had eight in our party and were accompanied by a crew of seven. The crew could not have been more friendly, helpful and skilled. The trucks we rode in were perfect for animal viewing and sun protection.

I planned this trip for my 40th birthday, and the Migration Venture Africa team, along with our driver Devin, made it truly special. Devin was kind, helpful with everything, and most importantly, respectful of the schedule and an excellent driver! The Big Five game drive was so much fun. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a great budget-friendly trip!

We are so glad that we chose Meru Slopes! Meru Slopes provided a safari experience that managed to exceed our already high expectations. Gift T. communicated swiftly and clearly during our planning. He helped us customize the perfect 8 day safari experience. Our driver and guide Florian was friendly, experienced, very professional, and responsible for providing us with an even better experience than we could have imagined. He knew every animal and could spot them with surprising speed. We noticed many other safari companies struggling with inexperienced or poorly maintained vehicles. Our vehicle was very well maintained and our driver gave us the highest confidence. We also did a Materuni Falls day trip, prior to our safari. In that case, our driver and guide was Herman. As with the other Meru Slopes team members, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and the best guide and new friend. I highly recommend Meru Slopes tours and safaris. Their prices were very fair, their lodges and hotels were spectacular, and their guides were the utmost professionals.

Awesome Service and amazing people
GoodOne tours is the best safari company. Gadiel is very kind, supportive, and honest. Right from the beginning, he helped us in preparation , planning. We travelled with 4 YO kid, with special food requirements he made sure that our trip is smoothly planned and executed. Highly recommended.
Our guide Soloman is the best you can get. He has vast knowledge of al the national parks, animals, and flora fauna. With the safari, he explained everything in very details which makes your trip informative and worthwhile. He is the best in what he does. He is qlso very kind and helpful.

This was my first trip to Africa. Our amazing safari included 4 parks - each one unique but all beautiful with LOTS of animal sightings. Our driver/guide Rick was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, wonderful to travel with. I will ask for him if I ever get back, and I've already recommended him to friends.
I feel I got more than "bang for the buck" that the trip cost.
Honestly I wouldn't change a thing.

We had the absolute pleasure of going on an 8-day safari with Ozon Light Tours, and we can confidently say it was the trip of a lifetime. From start to finish, the communication with the agency was seamless — they were incredibly responsive and flexible, adjusting our itinerary multiple times to meet our changing needs and fit within our budget.
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Albert. Thanks to him, we saw everything we had hoped for and more — including the Big Five and countless big cats, which were at the top of my wish list. Albert always knew exactly where to position the vehicle to give us the best and closest views. He was patient, kind, and so knowledgeable — capable of spotting even the tiniest bird or animal and sharing fascinating facts about each one. He gave us time to truly soak in every moment and never rushed us, which made the experience even more special.
Throughout the entire trip, we felt completely cared for — we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Each of our accommodations was absolutely beautiful and of a very high standard. We especially appreciated the personal touches and the warm, individual approach at every lodge.
One of the most unforgettable moments happened at our lodge in Lake Natron, where we had the incredible experience of giraffes calmly feeding right in front of our porch — it was simply magical and something we’ll never forget.
This was our honeymoon, and thanks to Ozon Light Tours and Albert, it was more magical than we ever imagined. Every lodge knew we were celebrating, and we were welcomed so warmly everywhere we went. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better journey — we had tears in our eyes almost every single day, moved by the beauty around us and the incredible experiences we were having.

Great communication with the tour operator, who was always quick to respond and provided all the necessary details about the tour. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The safari experience was absolutely amazing, our group managed to see all of the Big Five! The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was also excellent. Highly recommended!
