Axis - a fantastic option for your safari
5/5

After doing a good amount of research, we decided to book a three day/two night safari with Axis. We were so impressed!! From the very beginning, communication was prompt and efficient regarding booking the trip and figuring out the specific details of everything. Tabitha did a great job emailing with us. And the actual safari was amazing!! It was all very well organized and communicated - no hiccups or misunderstandings. Ali is a fantastic guide who took great care in showing us all the animals, as well as driving us to and back from the Mara and organizing all the details at the camp. He‘s an incredibly hard worker who has lots of experience doing safaris, and he really knew when to sit and wait for something to happen (a cheetah catching a baby gazelle) or when to move on and look for other animals in the area. I would most definitely book again with Axis and request Ali as my guide - 10 out of 5 stars!! :) thank you for the amazing adventure, Ali, Tabitha and the whole team at Axis.

Eric was knowledgeable, thoughtful and very helpful
5/5

From the moment that Eric picked us up at Kigali airport after midnight to the time he dropped us back there four days later, he could not have been more attentive to our needs. He brought his country to life and ensured that we had the experience of our lives at the Volcano National Park spending an hour with the incredible gorilla family. He also made us aware of the Gorilla Guardians village which was another highlight. Our visit to the Genocide Museum was an important, if confronting, experience. If you are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, thoughtful and very helpful guide in Africa you should contact Eric at Hope Tours Africa.

Perfect planning and support
5/5

My experience with Turkana was amazing. The guys were amazing from the first moment providing all the details. Also during the tour, despite not being planned in the initial programme, we were able to include additional elements we were interested in. We even managed to have a last minute small (unplanned) safari to see some lions!

“The Safari of a Lifetime with Karibu Tena!”
5/5

🌟 An Unforgettable Safari with Karibu Tena! 🌟

I had the chance to go on a three-day safari with Karibu Tena, exploring the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater… and honestly, it was absolutely incredible! From the very start, everything was perfectly organized, with a warm welcome and great attention to detail.

Our guide was simply outstanding – passionate, extremely knowledgeable, and somehow able to spot wildlife where I couldn’t see a thing at first glance. Thanks to him, I got to see the Big Five and so much more, while learning fascinating facts about the animals and local culture.

And the chef… wow! 😋 Every meal was delicious and freshly prepared, even right in the middle of the savannah. I never imagined I’d eat this well on a safari!

Between the breathtaking landscapes, magical wildlife encounters, and the warm, professional team, this is an experience I’ll cherish forever.

💯 I can’t recommend Karibu Tena highly enough – if you dream of an authentic, well-organized safari full of unforgettable moments, go for it!

Excellent
5/5

We recently returned from a safari with Serengeti Silence, and while we didn’t catch the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti as we had hoped, the experience was still absolutely incredible and exceeded our expectations in so many ways.

From the start, everything was well organized and seamless and special thanks to Emmy from the office. The company did their best to give us a rich and rewarding experience, and there were absolutely no mistakes or disappointments from their side. Nature is unpredictable, this is not a zoo, and the animals roam freely, as they should. That’s part of the beauty and authenticity of a true safari.

Our guide, Barnaba, deserves special praise. His deep knowledge of the wildlife, respectful approach to nature, and genuine passion for what he does made the entire journey unforgettable. He made every game drive engaging and exciting, and thanks to him, we still saw a wide variety of animals including a beautiful leopard, lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and many more.

The highlight in terms of accommodation was Kumbu Kumbu Luxury Camp. This camp was outstanding, comfortable, well designed, and offering breathtaking views of the Serengeti. The staff was warm and attentive, the food delicious, and the ambiance simply perfect after a long day of game drives.

Even without the migration, this safari was a once in a lifetime experience, and I have no regrets. I highly recommend Serengeti Silence to anyone considering a trip to Tanzania. They are professional, honest, and genuinely care about their guests’ experience. Thanks Barnaba, Emmy and Serengeti Silence Team in general.

A dreamy safari with guide Simon.
5/5

This 4-day trip was the best trip of our lives. From the beginning of the planning, Joshua met our needs and arranged the entire tour in a wonderful way. And our guide Simon - brother is amazing in a word! His eyes were like binoculars, and he could see the zebra and cheetah from a distance. In Serengeti, while engaged in lion hunting, Simon positioned our car as if we were in the middle of a movie. The sunsets of Tarangire and the morning lions of Crater - the whole tour was a golden chapter of life.

Kiboko

Booking a safari can be overwhelming. I started by filtering for small licensed Kenyan owned companies, then compared itineraries, favoriting ones that had good looking lodges/camps and roughly fit our idea. Kiboko tours came up again and again. I wrote them first for a quote among many others, and everything from that moment on was handled very professionally.

Gibson and the organisation were fantastic. He answered questions, was quick and timely, very professional, and fun. I often had questions or comments on weekends and I had to tell him don't answer me now, he was that prompt and thorough.

We had Sam as our guide and he was just exceptional in every way. His driving was excellent: confident, patient, in control, experienced, skillful. He was friendly and personable, funny, answered questions patiently, yet also gave us space and privacy as a family to enjoy this experience.

Sam's guiding was excellent. He stopped and allowed plenty of time to enjoy and process the first sighting of animals that three days later we might drive by without a word. He was super knowledgeable about the animals and birds, but also the environment, landscape, trees and always introduced this information in a timely way to give context to each place we visited.

He was super helpful with us learning about cultures and people and navigating those things that came up. He gave space for us to experience things ourselves too. He took on caretaking and responsibility for us in many ways which I appreciated (at a remote restroom he had checked it out for me before I even got out of the jeep).

We went to Amboseli, Lake Naivasha/Hell's Gate, Lake Nakuru (WAY underrated, go there!), and Maasai Mara. We were in the Mara in high season for the Great Migration and it gets crowded, many vehicles crowding sightings and his driving was safe, ethical, and with the animals comfort in mind, things I respect greatly. Their selection of lodges and camps was fantastic, (only minor issues were at a camp I specifically requested and Kiboko stepped in to handle our feedback to them).

This was simply one of the most amazing experiences of our life and everything was handled impeccably. They are professional, trustworthy, reliable--and friendly and seemed to really enjoy our enjoyment. We can't wait to go back to Kenya with them again.
