Excellent from start to finish
Initial enquiries and booking handled professionally and efficiently. Even helping us with train tickets and Kenya ETA. The safari was exactly how we wanted capturing masai mara, nakura and amboseli. Excellent tour guide. Always did his best and provided us with lots of local knowledge and made sure we saw 4 out of the big 5. Overall very happy and satisfied.

Four Days, Two Parks, One Incredible Safari Adventure
We did a four-day safari visiting two national parks: Mikumi and Ruaha. Mikumi is beautiful, but Ruaha truly preserves the wild and authentic soul of Tanzania. Everything exceeded our expectations — from logistics to staff, from accommodation to the quality of the food. Parks were breathtaking, the car was safe and comfortable, and we always had plenty of cold water available.
Staff & Organization
The organization was impeccable — we always felt guided, safe, and supported. Winnie assisted us remotely before and throughout the trip: she was kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful in shaping the best itinerary for us.
Michael, who picked us up in Morogoro, made our experience truly unforgettable — his presence, kindness, and deep connection with the land transformed the trip; without him, it simply wouldn’t have been the same.
Israel, our guide in Mikumi, is warm and very experienced, with a genuine love for nature and wildlife.
Danford, our driver in Ruaha, is a talent behind the wheel — passionate, sharp-eyed, and incredibly skilled at finding animals. He’s also a great person to talk to and share stories with.
Accommodation
All the places we stayed at were clean and welcoming, with excellent staff. The camp inside Ruaha may need some renovation, but it felt safe and offered a truly immersive experience. The final lodge, perched on a hill overlooking the park, was exceptional — newly built, peaceful, with stunning views of the sunset over the savannah.
Program Overview
The tour began in Dar es Salaam, where we were picked up early and brought to the train station for a 1.5-hour ride to Morogoro. There, Michael welcomed us with a spacious and comfortable 4x4, fully stocked with cold water. We headed to Mikumi National Park and met Israel, who guided us through our first safari where we spotted elephants, giraffes, and lions under a magnificent sunset. That night we stayed just outside the park in a cozy and stylish lodge.
The next morning, we set off for Ruaha. Despite a delay due to a road incident, we arrived in time for an evening game drive with Danford — possibly the best driver we’ve ever had. Just 30 minutes in, we came across a group of eleven lions feeding on a giraffe — a powerful and emotional experience that brought us face to face with nature’s raw reality.
That night, we slept in the heart of Ruaha. After the initial thrill of knowing we were surrounded by wildlife, we felt perfectly safe thanks to the on-site ranger.
The next day started at dawn and was packed with sightings, including a leopard resting under a tree beside its fresh antelope prey. Ruaha’s vast herds of elephants and incredible biodiversity made it a true highlight of the trip.
We spent the final night in a spectacular lodge with panoramic views over the park — the perfect place to reflect and enjoy one last African sunset before heading back the next day.

Great 6-Day Safari with Papa John!
We just finished a beautiful 6-day safari through three different parks, each with its own charm. I saw everything I was hoping for.
Our driver and guide, Papa John, made the trip extra special. He told us all about the animals with lots of passion and made sure we had a great time. The jeep was always clean and well taken care of.
Communication by email after the quote was clear and easy, and payment went smoothly. The places we stayed at were good and comfortable.
Highly recommend this safari, and especially Papa John!

the wonderful and immazing journy for us
The magical African Great Migration trip was very well arranged by Lappet Faced. The accommodations were very comfortable, and some places even exceeded our expectations. The experienced guide took us to appreciate the various animals on the African grasslands and discovered various surprises, including lions, cheetahs, hunting dogs, elephants, giraffes, and even the spectacular wildebeest crossing the Mara River. They also took us to appreciate the local African culture. The whole trip left a deep impression on us. Thank you Lappet Faced for your service.

The architect of the most magical experiences.
I've spent a few days trying to come up with what to write in this review.
The trip organised by Estleon Adventures was truly, truly spectacular. I had planned a trip myself, however, after a short discussion with Esther, it was clear that she had generated both a better plan, and a cheaper one.
We flew into Nairobi to be collected at the airport and taken to a lovely nearby hotel. This took the stress out of arriving in an unfamiliar city.
The hotel staff and the driver were immensely courteous and polite. We were soon happy and rested for our safari experience.
The safari. Other than our wedding, was hands down the most magical experience of our lives. We went to Entim Camp in Masai Mara for two nights and The Cliff at Lake Nakuru. Both were other-worldly (Entim was by far our favourite though). We were treated like royalty. The accommodation was comfortable and luxurious. The views, outstanding. Though, Entim Camp was superior with us in close proximity to the river. We watched hippos, baboons and crocodiles from our dinner tables or the fire pit area later in the evening. We could also get closer to the wildlife on camp via walks with the Masai Warriors who guarded the camp. The stand out moment at the camp was when a lone giraffe gracefully strolled past us as we relaxed in the rest area. We weren't even on a game drive and we had a giraffe within 30m of us.
The game drives. They were something else. Estleon Adventures arranged our driver and guide, Geoffrey; who deserves all the praise in the world. Personable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and immensely patient. He was an outstanding guide for us and took my wife and I from the hotel, to the accommodations and on multiple game drives. Thanks to Geoff, we saw the Big Five which everyone seems to care deeply about. We also saw a Cheetah, a Serval Cat (I can't believe Geoff spotted it as we went past), Hyenas, Baboons, Flamingos, Hippos, etc etc. I could list them. But it was about 26 species of animals over a few days. (Not including a series of birds and lizards).
The trip was filled with wildlife, but also with intimate moments, such as a family of Elephants or Giraffe passing us within touching distance. Contrasting with the tension of trying to spot a leopard that alluded so many before us. (Eventually it came past us and our jaws fell to the floor).
Geoff knew when to push and when for us to keep our distance. He was highly respectful of the animals though he made us feel the wildlife was out there for us alone.
I don't really know what else to add. The staff at each point were brilliant. The experience breathtaking. The accommodation unbelievable.
All of this was easy and in our view, a great deal financially. We would highly recommend you use Estleon Adventures and use Geoffrey, and we will look to do so again in the future.

the tour was great, no complaints
Just got back from the tour. the tour was wonderful, saw all the animals and the culture there. the parks are amazing. the scenery is amazing. when i first saw the rhinos i was just amazed seeing them resting and then getting up and walking around us. it was an amazing sight. the lodges are wonderful. some more rustic than the others. the food was amazing. local food prepared individually. three three course meals a day lots more than a person should eat traveling. the fruit was amazing wish i had it at home. went with my daughter and grandson, he is 11. if you are thinking of traveling with a child of that age do it. they will like it. our tour guide Anderson was wonderful. he took care of everything. my grandson got the traveling bug and was ill one day. i stayed with him. anderson got him meds a couple of different times. Anderson is a fine fellow and answers any questions. he is wealth of knowledge. he speaks english very well as do most of the folks there. he bought us fresh fruit along the way and kept plenty of water. our tour was 10 days long and it was plenty long enough. my daughter went to see the gorillas and done gorilla trek. she was amazed and rangers helped her. in short this was and amazing experience.

Superb
The tour is well organized, every stop, step and point is well organized (meaning lunchstops, bathroombreaks) The journey is long to every site but worth it. We were provided food, water and accomodations all the way, every day. The accomodations were good, especially in maasai mara and ambozeli. The local hosts were very friendly there. (Camp Lenchada and Camp Manjaro). Our guide (Tom) was very caring, always trying his best to suit all our needs. He was very (VERY!) knowledgable, and not just about the animals, but the area, weather, and the local communities as well. He communicated clearly and answeared every questions we had. He was friendly to everybody. Had a really great time with him!

Exceptional
Had high expectations for the trip and they did not disappoint! Jimmy, our driver was a walking animal dictionary (he even has dictionary of animals in his car!) to explain the animals we saw. He also went all out (off road included!) for us to capture the best shots of the animals. We also experienced very nice ‘African Massage’ throughout the trip 😆
Our guides: Jimmy, Johnny, Solomon & Steven were all friendly and helpful. Five stars to the team! Will definitely recommend & I’ll be back to see the leopard and rhino which we missed!

Exploring Tanzania: Tarangire, Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Eyasi in 8 Days
We joined an 8-day private lodge safari with Safari Soles Tours, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. I went with a friend, and we were guided by Jonas — a highly professional, polite, and passionate guide who has a deep love for wildlife and an incredible eye for spotting animals.
Thanks to Jonas, we witnessed unforgettable scenes: a lioness nursing her cubs, a cheetah feeding on its prey, a leopard lounging in a tree, herds of elephants including babies walking toward a waterhole, hyenas, a serval cat, African buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, baboons, countless zebras and wildebeests, impalas, elands, gazelles, topis, and even a distant glimpse of a black rhino.
Bird lovers will be thrilled — we saw so many species, including the Ashy Starling, Superb Starling, kingfishers, hornbills, owls, eagles, ibises, storks, Egyptian geese, grey herons, Baglafecht Weavers, flamingoes, and the stunning grey crowned crane. I’m sure there were many more that I couldn’t name — but all of these incredible sights are forever etched in our memories and captured in our cameras.
We were also lucky to witness a small group of wildebeest crossing the river — it lasted only about 3 minutes, but Jonas's experience and perfect timing ensured we arrived just in time to see it.
While the afternoon heat between 2 to 4 PM was intense and took some getting used to, everything else — from the amazing wildlife to the comfortable lodge accommodations — made this an unforgettable experience.
If I have the chance, I would love to return during the green season to see the Ngorongoro Crater in its lush, post-rainy-season beauty. I’m sure it would be a whole different yet equally unforgettable adventure.
We also did a hot air balloon safari, which, although pricey, was absolutely worth it. From above, we saw breathtaking views of large herds of animals and, for the first time on this trip, a group of vultures gathered around and feeding on the carcass of what looked like a gazelle or wildebeest — a rare and powerful sight.
Safari Soles arranged the balloon safari with a highly rated and safe operator, which gave us extra peace of mind.
Additionally, they helped us organize a visit to a Hadzabe tribe, and our local guide Harzad was excellent — knowledgeable, respectful, and able to communicate well with the Hadzabe people, allowing us to have meaningful interactions and ask questions.
All in all, this trip exceeded every expectation. If I ever have the chance, I would absolutely go again — and I would choose Safari Soles Tours in a heartbeat.
