Excellent Tour Operator for Safari
Stephen and his Team makes Dreams come true. I saw all Big 5 and a lot of other amazing animals. We had a memorable Safari 4 Day/ 3 Nights Serengeti/Ngorogoro Crater. Food and Accommodation are very good. All Transports were excellent. Our Safari Guide Godson is amazing, his Knowledge, his Driving, his Feeling for Wildlife and Animals.
The Jeep is very good, you have a charger inside, all Drinks Water, Cola, Beer, Wine is included. At the end I got a Cup and Thermocup with my Name, so nice. I can completely recommend this Tour Guide 🙏

The best tour operator to select for Kenya
It started with a WhatsApp ping to Christine who is so helpful and accomodating to the asks. After multiple conversations where she clarified all doubts, we did the bookings.
She helped tremendously to customise and change the tour according to our needs. It almost felt we had a friend in Kenya doing all the bookings and logistics for us.
When we arrived in Kenya, she along with the safari guide Eli came to receive us. That was definitely not expected and very kind of her.
The tour itself was awesome without a single glitch. All resorts were booked well in advance, all the rides and boating was booked perfectly. It was executed well.
The tour guide and driver Eli was superb! Not only did he drive us long distances without a problem, he also knew the safari routes extremely well. It was due to his tracking and driving that we saw numerous big cats. He was very accomodating to our needs, whether we wanted longer safaris or shorter ones, he managed all with a wide smile. Loved having him accompany us through the expanse of Kenya.
Overall I will 100% recommend Donwel Tours if you are in Kenya.

Perfect safari adventure
Donwel tours and travels made a perfect plan for our trip to Kenya. We were a little apprehensive at first when we heard that we might get some bad weather which could spoil our trip due to “wet season”, but glad we had connected with Christine who assured us that it would not. She ensured a smooth trip even though we had a toddler with us and a vegetarian, not even a hiccup. All accomodations chosen were comfortable and clean as well as safe and secure. Eli was our guide and we have a lot of gratitude towards him for showing us around through the parks tirelessly. His knowledge of the area and animals is outstanding. We all went back with smiling faces and happy memories.

Familiar, individual and flexible.
We (party of four adults), spent four days in tents on a remote, tiny island in the north-western part of the delta. Lets and his crew did a fantastic job to make us feel at home in the middle of the wilderness and swamp. Boat and Mokoro Safaries, walking on islands, fishing or visiting a local village were all part of the program. Delicious food was prepared by Zito in his bushkitchen, the fish catched next to the island, the bread every morning fresh and still warm. Every wish, including flying back to Maun instead of driving there by car as originally planned, was taken care off and made possible by Lets. We spent an adventourous, yet comfortable and always safe time out in the stunning nature of the delta.

Very friendly, professional, helpful and always in a good mood. He is a responsible and safe driver.
Had a great safari! It was our third safari and we saw beautiful animals again. Ephata, our guide knew exactly where they were. In the evening delicious, well-prepared dinners and always a complete lunch for on the road, there was also drinking water in the jeep. The jeep drove safely and the overnight stays were well organized! Ephata is an experienced, responsible and reliable guide, who speaks good English. He had a lot of knowledge about all the wildlife, was very helpful when we had questions and always went well prepared with us on the road. It is truly an unforgettable experience that we still regularly think back to with great pleasure with our family. Highly recommended to discover the impressive nature, lovely people and special animals in Tanzania for a good price!

Showed us a good time, but made one very poor decision
I had a mixed experience with Tubale. I booked the 3 day gorilla trekking tour in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The accommodations that Tubale booked us at were absolutely fantastic, I could not be more impressed with the hotels we stayed at. Also, the team of safari guides, security and trackers (all employed at Bwindi Forest) were superb. They gave us an incredible service and deserve nothing but the best reviews.
As for the tour guide we were paired with…he picked us up from the airport and drove us 10 hours to the Bwindi Forest. He was very accommodating in giving us bathroom breaks and helping out when one of us was car sick. He went the extra mile at the end of our trip to make sure we had a good experience.
Something I did not appreciate though was when we were going to take a ferry across Lake Victoria, he all but left us to fend for ourselves in a busy market while he was doing other things. In a foreign country and in a market we were not familiar with, we were surrounded by hundreds of people and did not feel safe. We did not know what to expect and had poor communication from him. We were left to register, board and ride the ferry by ourselves, and it was a poor decision. Other than that, he did a good job of making sure our trip was as comfortable as possible.
Also, my communication with the travel consultant was lacking. I expected to hear from her prior to the trip just introducing us to our beginning instructions, etc. But I heard nothing. She had previously told me our shuttle from the airport would be free. It was not, and we had to pay for a taxi. I emailed her to let her know for future travelers that this particular hotel does not provide free shuttle, and she responded that she wished I would’ve communicated that to her sooner. I don’t understand how I could’ve done that, having just gotten to the airport and finding out in that moment that there was not a free shuttle. I didn’t hear from her again during or after the trip. Communication from the travel consultant was definitely not thorough enough.
All of this aside, the hour I spent with the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one I will remember all my life, it was a precious experience and I am so thankful I got to have it.

Christi is so warm and such a helpful person. Eli was amazing. Both of the ensured a wonderfUl trip.
Let us talk about the experience itself first- BREATHTAKING. Like a fairy tail.
That entire herd of elephants that I saw brought tears of happiness. It was a perfect start, a perfect tone setting to what would be an adventure of a lifetime.
There is nothing but gratitude for Christi and Eli. Wow.
The tour was so well planned that 7 days felt like one. Every single day was another adventure to locate one from the big 5 or another never seen life. Was so in love with the country and the hospitality that we wanted to stay back. I know that We are gonna be back for sure and bring a lot of our friends with us.
Thank you team Donwell for making this an absolute delight.
