Great excursions at a great price
MUHI Tours and Safari is the best option you can choose for your trips to Zanzibar.
Even before you travel to Zanzibar, you can contact him via WhatsApp to obtain information. So, you can make your list. Once you arrive, he will stop by to make all the arrangements based on what you want. Everything is explained in detail (pick up time, what you will see, when you will be back, …). And all this at very affordable prices.
We did 4 excursions, a one-day safari to Mikumi, a visit to Prison Island and Stone Town, A visit to the largest spice farm and a little village and finally swimming with the dolphins and snorkeling at Nnemba Island. MUHI provided excellent guides that explained everything in detail (we even had a French guide).
If we ever go back to Zanzibar, we will contact MUHI again to further explore the island.

Perfect
We had the most incredible 4-day canoeing adventure with our amazing guides, Thomas and Tich. From the very first moment, they made us feel completely safe and taken care of. Everything was beyond our expectations: paddling among hippos, crocodiles, and elephants, enjoying delicious meals under the stars, and falling asleep in our tents with the magical sounds of nature all around us. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget – absolutely unforgettable!

Bwindi is amazing!
I had a 2 day itinerary from Kigali to both the Volcanoes National Park and the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Ronnie was my driver and the car was very comfortable (this is important for me as I can get travel sick otherwise). The tour was nicely paced. Seeing the golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park was great but the real highlight was Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: trekking families of gorillas was amazing! I went for the midrange itinerary and the lodge I stayed in had absolutely beautiful views over the mountains.

Great Experience
We had a great trip with our family this summer. The safari was neatly organised across several parks and the two countries (Kenya and Tanzania). Thanks to the team.

The Most Romantic and Adventurous Safari
We collaborated with Patrick to develop this wonderful itinerary, visiting the Serengeti lodge, Ngorongoro Wild Camp, and Highview Hotel, all of which were magnificent. I must express my gratitude to Patrick for his meticulous organization of the trip, which featured a well-structured schedule. Our guide Shaban was exceptional and very attentive. We experienced incredible wildlife and breathtaking landscapes across Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. We shared many special moments, getting close to elephants, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, vultures, baboons, jackals, hyenas, giraffes, antelopes, and zebras. Truly, it was the most romantic and adventurous journey we have undertaken together as a couple.

Once in a lifetime experience, Apodiformes Adventures are masters of their craft!!
What else can we say about our Kenyan Safari trip other than, it was the best experience of our lives thanks to Apodiformes Adventures, Fredrick and William.
I began the search approx 6 months before our trip and it was quite overwhelming. There are thousands of operators with great reviews so my advice would be to get stuck in and start discussing your potential trip via whatsapp / email as early as possible. With this in mind, I cannot tell you how amazing Fredrick was from day one. As soon as I enquired he Whatsapped me straight away and we discussed how to create the best bespoke itinerary for our trip / dates / locations.
We received a couple of really well put together itineraries via email and once we'd decided, the process was super smooth and we knew we were in for an incredible 5 days.
On the lead up, Fredrick was super communicative, checking in on our flights, when we would land, if we needed anything along the way and this was such a lovely touch. Once we landed and had settled the remainder of the funds in person, and we were picked up by William from our hotel.
Words cannot describe how amazing William was as a guide. We were so elated when meeting him and him being Masai, it made our long drives even more interesting as we got a real insight into how the Masai live. He was so happy to discuss their music, traditions, dress etc and we got to know him so well.
The safari itself was everything we'd hoped for. We spent two days exploring Amboseli National Park, one day in Tsavo West and our final day in Taita Hills. What is so important is how well connected William was. He was constantly speaking with other guides in each park, getting updates as to where there had been sightings and taking us there with no hesitation.
We feel incredibly lucky to have seen well over 100 Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Antelope, Gazelle, Hippo, Flamingo, Buffalo, Baboons, Civet Cat, Vervet Monkeys, Hyena, Jackal and dozens of species of bird, the list goes on and on.
William was the best guide we could have hoped for and was so lovely day to day. Making sure we were comfortable and kept great time whilst allowing flexibility if we needed it. The vehicle was so impressive and he was a master driver.
We can recommend Apodiformes Adventures and William enough. If you're after a life changing safari experience, look no further :)
We will be forever grateful to William and Fredrick. Thank you Apodiformes!!!

Unforgettable experience
We did a 3-day safari with Go Makini from Zanzibar to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, and it was absolutely incredible. Naomi was fantastic in helping organize everything smoothly, and our guide/driver, Prayer, truly made the experience unforgettable.
Prayer was extremely knowledgeable, well-prepared, and passionate, not just about guiding us but also about protecting the environment and wildlife. Unlike other drivers we saw rushing past, he took the time to respect the animals and their space, and it made our experience feel so much more meaningful. He even went out of his way to help other drivers when they had trouble, which really showed his character and professionalism.
We had an amazing and authentic safari experience.

Memorable First Safari
This was our first safari trip and it exceeded all of our expectations and more. We were lucky to have a fantastic driver and guide named Clinton. He not only showed us the wildlife but also provided extensive insights about the country's history, culture and its national parks. We had the chance to see a variety of animals, with some encounters being very close and memorable. The accommodations were quite satisfactory, and the meals were mostly served buffet-style, with lunch provided in a box. Overall, everything was well-organized and carefully planned.

Unforgettable experience
I spent months researching tour operators for our trip to Tanzania and ultimately chose Mega Wild - it was the right decision.
I was a bit skeptical and concerned because it was so affordable, but my worries were unnecessary.
Our first and last nights were spent in the most beautiful hotels with incredible service and kind staff.
The three middle nights were spent in a luxury tented camp. The camp we stayed at the first and third nights was great. It wasn’t as rustic as I thought it would be, but of course nowhere near luxurious. There were some issues with hot water - but other than that, the staff were amazing; so nice and kind, helpful and accommodating. My friend and I are pescatarian; fish wasn’t being offered at dinner but they made some especially for us. They even made some for us to take the next day in our boxed lunches. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean.
The camp on the 2nd night wasn’t as comfortable. The floor was damp and resulted in our luggage becoming wet. They also placed us in a room with only one bed when we had specified that we needed two. No big deal, just minor inconveniences. But when you’ve spent 10 hours on very bumpy roads and are exhausted, the little things can feel much larger.
What made our trip so incredible was our guide, Martin Samweli. He was absolutely amazing. He made sure he scoured the terrain for animals that we would have missed seeing otherwise. He taught us so much about the animals and answered all of our questions.
Not only was he beyond efficient and extremely knowledgeable, he was one of the kindest men I’ve met.
I became ill one day, and he couldn’t have been more concerned, helpful, or caring.
On our final day in Tanzania we were supposed to travel to Uganda. That morning I became severely ill and needed to return home.
Martin did everything he needed to do to get us to the airport. My calls to the airline kept dropping, so he found a place where we could stop so I could get better reception. He helped in every way possible. I could see how genuinely concerned he was and sad for me that we had to cut the trip short.
He truly was incredible.
The thing that impressed me was the truthfulness in the information that was given. Many other companies stated that we would see the Great Migration as well as other animals. I had my suspicions, for how can anyone guarantee when the animals might actually cross? When I inquired with Mega Wild, I was told the truth, that we may or may not witness it. I think that’s what made my final decision to book with them.
There were other mid-level companies that offered the same trip. I was concerned that because our trip was several thousand dollars less that we might be disappointed, but it fit our budget. The only difference I noticed when we saw other travelers was the lunches they were served (hot food in chafing dishes with real plates and cutlery compared to our boxed lunches). Maybe they stayed in better camps - but we did not suffer in the least bit.
I will say you have to be diligent in asking questions before departing. We weren’t told about any vaccinations we would need or the fact that we would need visas. Thankfully we thought we might and knew to ask the questions. Our itinerary was also changed. We still visited all the areas that were originally planned, but weren’t informed by the company of the changes; Martin was the one who told us. Again, no big deal.
We had trouble obtaining our visas online (the system wasn’t working), but as soon as we informed the company, it was immediately handled for us, problem resolved. They were also very responsive and helpful when I needed to cancel the remainder of the trip.
I would definitely recommend Mega Wild to anyone who isn’t planning on taking a 1st class trip that costs tens of thousands of dollars.
It was a truly amazing trip and I couldn’t have asked for anything more!
