From initial contact, through handling payment issues due to technology, and collection from and delivery back to Johannesburg, everything went well.
I have to particularly recognise both Sonny 1 and Sonny 2 as my shuttle drivers. I felt much safer travelling with them than many other drivers throughout the world.
Tremisana was a perfect base and between there and Kruger I managed to see most of the animals I wanted to see in Africa. (My time in Botswana fortunately provided some great - and very lucky - photo opportunities for leopards, cheetahs and lions.)
The Tremisana Lodge staff and food were really good, as were the guides. The sunrise, sunset and armed bush walk were highlights.
A special thank you to Smiley. His day tour to Kruger NP was most enjoyable and very informative. He is a real personality and asset for the lodge.
All in all, an incredible experience and excellent value for money. I will recommend Viva Safaris without hesitation.

The seven-day safari
The seven-day safari I took with Tall Masai was fantastic; in addition to seeing a lot of other species, we saw the big six. The accommodations at Miti Mingi and Nyati Safari Camp were excellent. Despite being mediocre, Citymax was adequate for its function. Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara were all truly breathtaking, but Lake Naivasha was less thrilling. If I had to choose just one place to visit, it would be Naivasha. Tall Masai's Benson was constantly available and eager to assist.

Our experience with this travel agency was excellent and very well organized. Derrick, our main contact, was always responsive and communicated clearly, which made planning smooth and stress-free. On the ground, Tim, our driver and tour guide, was outstanding—professional, patient, and very accommodating. He worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best safari experience and, thanks to his efforts, we managed to see the Big Five within the first three days. The accommodations arranged were comfortable, though we noticed that the food in almost all of them was quite similar, so we ended up eating the same dishes every day. Terry and Hope made our 3 day private safari absolutely breathtaking! I cannot say enough about how perfect our experience was so let’s start off with Hope. She ensured all of our accommodations were absolutely perfect from the moment we got picked up from our hotel in Zanzibar to the airport to Arusha to our first safari and our incredible hotel all the way to the 3rd day as well as being taken by airplane to Dar Es Salaam which is a different airport than we originally started at. Talking about custom care! Wow!! I’m super impressed by Hope, landing us the best possible driver / caregiver for our 3 day safari and the best possible romantic hotel. We had Terry as our tour guide and he is literally a dream come true. His English is perfect, be is full of charisma and class. He was truly caring in every aspect, ensuring we were fully taken care of, even taking us to art galleries. He was a super safe and careful driver. His knowledge was supreme. We are beyond blessed for Terry and Hope. We went to Tarangire Nationalpark, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park. They were all super cool, especially the first two.
