Was very easy to book and whole experience was managed in a friendly matter.
This whole safari from start to finish was very well managed. Communication was exceptional. They took their own initiative to contact us to see how everything was going. We were able to see many different animals and plenty of other local sights. Accommodation and food was good. Highly recommend this to everyone.

Impressive
I had an amazing two nights, three days experience at Maasai Mara courtesy of Solo Safari Updates. Knowledgeable and experienced tour guides. Timely pick up. Amazing game drives with a touch of safari rally experience using the 4 wheel drive Toyota landcruisers on the muddy roads in the wild. I was able to spot the big 5! Favorable prices and brilliant advisories regarding the ups and downs of the different camps.
Beyond my expectations
Safari was well organised from start to finish. I was able to see a lot from from my first day there until the end. Communications were good with them checking in to make sure everything was OK. Accommodation was excellent by providing a tent experience. Whole experience was beyond my wildest expectations.

Good
The trip was very comfortable. Christine was very friendly and customized the itinerary according to my needs. She handled the situation promptly when I encountered any problems. The price was also very reasonable. I will choose them again next time.

Amazing Safari Experience with Laxatrails
Highly recommend Laxatrails Safaris! My husband and I did a 3-day safari in April 2025. Upon reaching out to the company, Peter was helpful in finalizing our itinerary and accommodations. Our tour guide, Raheem, was wonderful! He knew his way around the park and was fearless when it came to searching for the animals. We are very grateful for his patience and expertise - we had an amazing and memorable experience. I recommend upgrading to the land cruiser - it made the trip very smooth and comfortable.

They removed all friction in our trekking experience!
In 3 short days we saw chimps, gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi, and Big Apes made the journey painless. It was a trip of a life time, with beautiful hotels, amazing treks set for us, and delicious food choices. I highly recommend!

Beyond Disappointed – Not Worth the Cost or the Hype
I booked with this company specifically because they advertised lodge accommodations over camping. Unfortunately, the lodge experience was extremely underwhelming. There was no hot water, the power went out twice, and the pool was in such poor condition that getting in wasn’t even an option. While the staff were kind and welcoming, the overall experience failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
The game drives were cut short and felt rushed. On two of the three days, our guides were clearly on tight schedules—once to drop another guest off at the airport, and again the next day because the group had arrived at camp early and had to leave within 24 hours. This completely undermined the feeling of a relaxed, immersive safari. We were also moved from vehicle to vehicle, creating a sense of disorganization and inconsistency that disrupted the trip.
Although the food was decent and the guides themselves were friendly, the execution left much to be desired. Several advertised services were either missing or not up to par, and what I paid simply didn’t match what I received. The trip cost $700, and yet it felt like a cut-rate experience. I specifically asked questions before booking and was given clear, confident answers—which is the only reason I felt comfortable moving forward. Sadly, those promises were not kept.
I was intentionally trying to support a newer company, but in hindsight, I should have gone with a more experienced operator. I feel that, at a minimum, the company owes me $200 back for the misleading service. I’m now considering what steps I can take to recover part of my payment, as I am beyond disappointed with how things turned out.
If you're considering a safari and want value for your money, I would strongly advise booking with a more established, transparent company. This was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and instead, it left me frustrated and let down.

Richard was extremely well organised, knowledgeable and easy to deal with.
Our family of four had the best possible experience we could’ve wished for. After our long flight to Dar we took a brief break in Zanzibar. Amazing! Richard put us in a very nice hotel and we explored the delights of the island including some exceptional scuba diving.
Then off to Arusha where we met Richard for lunch and he went over our holiday in detail.
Early start the next morning to the base of Kilimanjaro for our 7 day Lemosho trek to the summit. Robert our guide seemed to know everything about the mountain - the geology, the fauna, flora and folklore. Incredible! Outstanding experience in every aspect including the amazing porters. What an achievement for my 10 and 12 year old boys to be sitting on top of Africa safely. Thanks Robert!
Next we headed off for the Serengeti taking in Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. Our guide Goodluck brought the same degree of incredible knowledge, passion and genuine old fashioned good manners to make our trip an unforgettable adventure.
Congrats to Richard and his team for providing us with such a superb experience. We tell as many people as we can to just go to Tanzania. Do it now! I guarantee you you’ll have the adventure of a lifetime with Tanzania Timeless Safaris.

Trip of a Lifetime with Captain Safari (Kelvin): 7 Day Safari in Tanzania
I did a lot of research on our safari trip. Where to go (Tanzania/South Africa), when to go (time of year), and who to go with (what company). I can confidently tell you that if you are going on a safari, you want to go with Kelvin as your guide and you want Serengeti Clarity to help accommodate your trip as your operator. Our safari was an 7 Day Safari leaving and returning to Arusha, I customized a few days from their typical schedule based on reviews I had read and what we were looking for from our Safari. Frank of Serengeti Clarity was super responsive as we were looking to decide which operator to go with, and was very easy to work with when it came to customizing our adventure. It was just my dad and I on our trip, so leading up to it we were definitely hoping to have a good guide. We have no clue how lucky we were going to be with Kelvin.
Day 1 Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Eileen's Trees Inn
Highlights of the Day: Meeting Kelvin at our hotel and Frank at the office before we set off. Lions walking along the car. Elephants (SO MANY), in very different settings throughout the park. Kelvin really showed his expertise by positioning our vehicle to where the animals were going without disturbing them, we were always better positioned than other cars.
Day 2 Karatu to southern Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Sero Tented Camps
Highlights of the Day: Almost a 5 hour drive up and around the Ngorongoro Crater, very scenic and Kelvin did a great job making it not feel long. Amazing picnic lunch amongst the wildebeest in the middle of the Serengeti, was our first introduction to the dung beetle (so bizarre and cool). Saw our first male lions, cheetahs, and truly large groups of wildebeest. Sero Camp (our home for 3 nights) was unbelievable. Amazing service, food, wifi and an amazing room in the middle of the Serengeti that was so impressive.
Day 3 Southern Serengeti
Accommodation: Sero Tented Camps
Highlights of the Day: We woke up at 5:30am and saw the sun rise as we set off by Lake Ndutu. Saw a mother cheetah and her cub. More lions. But the true highlight was the 3 hours we spent with a leopard, who we initially found in a tree. She went on to make a kill of a mongoose and was super fun to hang out with until dusk. Kelvin did an amazing job scouting and finding a leopard, doing so after he promised we would find one. He also once again positioned himself for all of the best viewing of the leopard.
Day 4 Southern Serengeti
Accommodation: Sero Tented Camps
Highlights of the Day: We once again woke up early, Kelvin's promise of the day was to see a kill. Before that, we saw the biggest group of wildebeest we saw on the trip cross the river off the lake, it was more of a stream since the rainy season hadn't started. We also were treated to a big male elephant. As we went out to look for cheetah, we ended up finding a leopard far out into the open grass by a tree. We had over an hour where it was just our car and this leopard as it was tracking rodents and going about its day. We headed back towards the trees and Kelvin brought us to the big wildebeest heard we'd seen earlier, there were three cheetahs stalking the herd. We had a front row seat of the entire start to finish of a kill, lasting about 1.5 hours. Kelvin once again was the best navigator of all the operators. We went back to camp for lunch (which was always amazing at Sero) and a nap, only to finish our evening hanging out with a pride of 10+ lions overlooking the sunset of Lake Ndutu.
Day 5 Southern Serengeti Travel to Ngorongoro
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Wild Camp
Highlights of the Day: We got a nice sleep in, as Kelvin had almost entirely satisfied our dreams for visiting the Serengeti. One of the biggest things left to check off was Hippos, so Kelvin took us to Lake Masek. We were the only car we saw for hours. Kelvin took us around the lake and we saw multiple groups of hippos, including babies! We then made our trek back towards the crater, seeing our first rain of the trip as we exited the park. The rain was brief and did not impact our picnic lunch under an umbrella acacia surrounded by wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. We stopped at a Masai village and learned about their culture, building on all of the amazing things Kelvin had educated us about throughout the adventure.
Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater
Accommodation: Eileen's Trees Inn
Highlights of the Day: We woke up early to make our trek down to the crater. The varying terrain made for a fascinating descent. We saw hundreds of zebra, gazelle, baboon, water buffalo, and more right as we got down to the crater floor. Our goal was to find a rhino, which Kelvin succeeded in doing so about an hour into our safari. We drove by lions and ate a picnic surrounded by hippos at a nice picnic stop. Our safari was capped by a huge family of elephants in the forest at the edge of the crater floor. We enjoyed the half-day of safari by playing pool and basketball with Kelvin and his friends back at the Inn.
Day 7 Lake Manyara to Airport
Highlights of the Day: After our final breakfast with Kelvin, we stopped at all of the shops he suggested where we got great deals for awesome gifts. Kelvin was sure to give us advice on bartering before we entered anywhere, and also brought us to a beautiful Tanzanite shop. Lake Manyara was a nice final stop, providing us with encounters with Blue Face Monkeys, lions in the trees, and more elephants. Kelvin brought us back to Arusha where he showed us places he'd talked about in stories. We were then brought back to the office where we were given a parting party with champagne, cake and a beautiful painting. Kelvin dropped us off at the airport where we said good bye for now, we felt so lucky to have him as our guide!
If you have made it this far, I think it is clear how amazing Kelvin and Serengeti Clarity were for this truly trip of a lifetime. Contact Frank at Serengeti Clarity if you want to experience a trip like us, don't forget to request Kelvin too.

Great safari company
We had an amazing experience and would recommend this tour operator. Our tour guide, Cyrus, was excellent - very knowledgeable, accommodating to our needs, went over and beyond to find us the big 5 which was spectacular! A brilliant and a safe driver. We thoroughly enjoyed our safari and would love to visit Kenya again.
