Safari 2025
I was in Kenya for 2 weeks. I was there to help out an orphanage, born again children's home. I've been to Kenya three times now and I don't think I would go back in May simply because of all the rain but on the Safari. We had good weather and saw a lot of amazing animals. Our guide was extremely good.

Great friendly and helpful people, affordable and beautiful
I love South Africa
It’s a colorful country, most places are very safe, because of all the security organizations around.
The food and restaurants are very good and and affordable.
People are helpful and very friendly. They look like they enjoy life.
We went to the Kruger park for 3 days and had a great time.
We live in Mauritius and we were just surprised that early in the morning and evening the weather is much colder than in the country we live, but during the day it was very nice weather.

I still give 5 stars even if we only saw lion from far away
In the Leopard just quickly in the evening
No cheetahs
But I must say because of the rain in the previous few months before our travel, the bush was too green, so it was more hard to see the animals…. So nobody’s fault..
But we saw a lot of elephants giraffes, rhino, hippos, birds, eagles, wild dogs, hyenas, and a lot of lots of other animals
I love the vibe of the bush
We done camping
I’m not at all a fan of a camping, but it was a great experience. It was very comfortable and the food was just great.

Over the top good.
My wife and I returned recently from a 19 day birding safari with Avian Safaris. Our guide was owner Crammy Wanyama. This was literally the trip of a lifetime. The original purpose of our trip was birding, but Uganda offers so much more. Yes, the birding is spectacular, and we saw the iconic Shoebill, Green-breasted Pitta (performing its mating dance) as well as 514 additional bird species (not including our heard-only birds).
We also went Mountain Gorilla trekking and spent an hour sitting within a few feet of a gorilla family, including a playful youngster. We each hired porters for this trek who were very helpful pushing and pulling us up and down the 60 degree slopes of the Bwindi forest. We went chimpanzee trekking in Kibale and viewed lots of big game species including dozens of elephants in Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks. More than a dozen species of monkeys were seen.
The accommodations were very good with several nights at luxurious safari camps. We felt very safe during our entire stay in Uganda. Our transport was a comfortable and reliable Land Cruiser driven by Crammy.
In my opinion, Crammy is the ultimate birding guide. His knowledge of the birds in east Africa is exhaustive. Over the many long days spent with Crammy we were able to really appreciate the difference he made to our trip. Always positive, flexible, unflappable, and very intelligent. He attended to our every whim. He is also something of a nurturing figure to up-and-coming guides in Uganda. He made it a point to use local guides and porters at many of the birding locations on the tour. He wants to build up another generation of professional birding guides as well as to spread some wealth in the less advantaged areas found in much of Uganda.
I can strongly recommend using Crammy Wanyama of Avian Safaris for your birding tour in Uganda or anywhere else in east Africa.

The 3-day Amboseli tour was a fantastic experience, made even better by our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, Gilbert. From the start, he ensured everything ran smoothly, sharing insights about the wildlife and local culture throughout the trip. The views of Mount Kilimanjaro were breathtaking, and we saw plenty of elephants, lions, and other wildlife during the game drives. Gilbert’s expertise and passion really brought the park to life. The accommodations were comfortable, and the visit to a Maasai village added a unique cultural touch. Overall, it was a well-organized and memorable safari.
