Fantastic tour with good accommodation and great tour guide
From the moment we were picked up at Johannesburg everything went smoothly, the transport was on time, the lodge was fantastic and all the staff were so helpful and friendly and the safari tours were great, our safari guide was knowledgeable and we saw everything apart from leopard and cheetah.
Would recommend this tour with Mzansi and Zelda was at the end of emails, she answered promptly, sorted all changes we asked for and made the trip memorable.

The trip of a lifetime. We’re so glad we booked with Safari Soles!
We found Safari Soles through SafariBookings after getting some eye-watering quotes from UK travel agents, and honestly – we were a bit nervous at first. But from the very beginning, Douglas (our amazing trip planner) put us completely at ease. His communication was spot-on - quick, detailed, and so patient, even after 9 or 10 itinerary changes! He was always happy to answer any question (big, small, or a bit silly!), and he even shared all the relevant documentation to show the company was legitimate, which really helped calm our nerves before booking.
Paying the deposit was super easy through a secure online system, and from that point on, everything was seamless.
Once we arrived in Tanzania, we were lucky enough to be guided by Abdul, who was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and so dedicated - if he didn’t know the answer to something, he made sure to find out and come back to us the next day. We really appreciated his honesty and attention to detail. He also handled any issues on the ground straight away - when we were placed in a shared lodge that was a bit too noisy, he sorted it with the camp and made sure we had a private lodge for the next stay. Problem solved, no fuss.
We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 (plus so much more!), and the entire trip genuinely exceeded every expectation. From the authentic safari lodges to the smooth organisation and incredible wildlife, it was an experience we’ll never forget.
I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with Safari Soles again – in fact, I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a well-priced, well-organised, and genuinely unforgettable safari in Tanzania. Thank you to Douglas, Abdul, and the whole team for making this the trip of a lifetime!

Our journey started from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Amboseli. Including a ballon flight over the Serengeti.
All 3 drivers gave us deep knowledge about the animals but also about other stuff. It is amazing how they spot animals while driving. We would never find most of the animals.
The middle class lodges were wonderful. Great meals, friendly staff, great service, very big rooms. Perfect.
Before and during the whole journey we got support from Shanjoy. Day and Night.
We recommand Shanjoy and would do everything again the same way.

Wonderful trip!
We had an amazing experience with Dav Safaris from start to finish. Regan was very responsive, provided all the necessary info and had no problems with our modifications to the trip.
Our guides - Jerry and Solomon - were simply amazing! Kind and helpful, they made our trip really special and fun.
Uganda is a spectacular country with beautiful nature and lovely people. I sincerely recommend Dav Safaris’ 7 days itinerary as it takes you through various landscapes and provides breathtaking experiences!
Just be mindful that there’s a lot of driving and it can get a bit fatiguing.
The last lodge of the trip was absolutely stunning and definitely worth a day or two extra if you can swing it ;)

Kikitu had an unwavering enthusiasm and acute knowledge of Maasai Mara for a large tourist group.
Experience was FANTASTIC. Tour guide made the entire experience by being one of the friendliest, knowledgeable, and experienced tour guides I’ve ever had for safari or similar tour experiences. He found the best spots to drive up to observe wildlife in Maasai Mara and was always giving us introductions to new species. His enthusiasm was unmatched and truly made the experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

It’s a bit nerve-racking selecting a safari online and without a travel agent, but Jocky Tours made the experience so nice especially for someone on a budget. It was a very wonderful journey with our guide lucky Peter Kapino! He is so passionate about animals and wide knowledge, and very patient with all of our questions. And he’s a very good driver as well. We saw almost every kind of animals. Some of them were very close by, just walk near by our car, so we can see it clearly with our eyes. And we met the famous Craig, so lucky. I had an unforgettable journey in Africa.

For our first time visiting Africa, our group collectively felt blessed that we had been randomly paired with Kikitu. He made waking up at sunrise actually enjoyable because we were met with his contagious enthusiasm. Kikitu delivered on all fronts, and I appreciated that beyond making sure we had a front row to the top tier animals on the safari he would check in on us to make sure we were comfortable, if we needed water or the washroom. I appreciate the attention to detail!
