An excellent tour itinerary
5/5

It was a dream come true and one of a lifetime experience that made it possible because of our very knowledgeable tour guides and well planned itineraries. We visited all the places we wanted to go and my expectations went above and beyond.
The price of the package is so affordable.

Quality
5/5

I worked with Lion King Adventures to bring a group of 12 people to Tanzania. As a frequent traveler and someone who has been to Tanzania before, I had a high standard for what I expected for my group. Lion King did not disappoint. The trucks were the nicest we saw on the whole trip - squeaky clean, well-maintained, and ran well. Our driver/guides - Salhe and Gilbert - were phenomenal. Both are so knowledgeable, kind, funny, and fit right into our group like we were old friends. The office staff was great at providing on the ground service for my group whenever I had questions or needed to make on the go changes. If you're looking for a company that will deliver the Tanzania experience of your dreams, don't even hesitate. 5 stars, would totally recommend.

Unforgettable experience!
5/5

Tanzania Choice Safaris came highly recommended by a good friend who lived in Tanzania for over 10 years. From the planning stages of our trip, Brenda gave us good insights and options into activities well suited to our multigenerational group. Our guides were fun and incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, and the history of this amazing place. We are so grateful for Tanzania Choice Safaris for help in organizing our trip, choosing very comfortable and beautiful accommodations with delicious meals, and making this trip go smoothly. It was unlike any other vacation we have ever taken. Tanzania Choice Safaris was topnotch, thank you Brenda, Kakasii, Leslie, Noel and Oscar!

Great team and great experience
5/5

We just finished a fantastic Kilimanjaro trek with Eco Africa. We did the Lemosho 8 day route, and with the help of the amazing team, and our guides Onesmo and John, we both successfully summited. Eco Africa was incredibly easy to deal with from the beginning, with Fredrick being clear and consistent to communicate with. As for the team on the mountain, we are so grateful for all their help, their smiles, positive attitude and strength (literally, carrying 20kg of stuff each) day after day. They felt like a family and this helped us push through. David, the chef, did an amazing job catering for us being vegan and we were blown away by the food! Pizza, pancakes, pasta, porridge, salads, fresh fruit, amongst so many other things. The food was nutritious and there was always plenty so we were always full. Special mention also to Emanuel, our waiter, and Junie who helped us on the summit night. Another bonus was they set up a portable toilet and tent at each camp site which was great. I would highly recommend this company!

Getting up close to the wilderness
5/5

We had a wonderful time on our Okavango delta mokoro safari! Our guide and chef were amazing and it was incredible getting up close to the wilderness - an experience very different from a car safari. At Shipungo, they were very responsive and they even lent us their binoculars.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish
5/5

Doing a safari in Africa is an incredible experience, but it can feel overwhelming when it comes to planning. There are so many options to choose from: different safaris, camps, number of days, and even logistics in the city where the tours depart. Trying to organize all of this from abroad in a country you don’t know can be challenging. That’s why I’m so grateful for Kelvin and his team, who did an outstanding job. They answered every single question I had, and they went above and beyond. By paying attention to my personality through our messages, they guided me to create the best possible experience tailored to my needs while still working within my budget. Out of all the safari providers I researched, Kelvin was by far the most honest. He shared such specific and detailed information, things most people don’t usually tell you, that I felt confident I was making the best decision.

Kelvin and his team didn’t just focus on the safari itself. They helped me with every step before and after, even with things that weren’t directly related. For example, they assisted me in buying local bus tickets that weren’t available online for tourists, and Kelvin personally made sure we got safely on the bus back to our city for our return flight. I truly felt that I mattered to them, not just my money.

The safari experience itself was just as extraordinary. If you love lions, this is the perfect place to see plenty of them. The vehicle we traveled in was always comfortable and a proper 4x4, which makes a big difference. In another safari with a different provider, I was taken in a minibus, and I can assure you it’s not the same. This time everything was perfect.

I also got to try two different types of camps: a mid-range lodge, which was amazing, and a camping experience in tents. At first, I was nervous about the tents, but Kelvin made sure to recommend the right day and location so that I could enjoy it with minimal discomfort. It turned out to be much better than I expected.

We also had a chef traveling with us who cooked delicious meals every day. I was a bit worried about the food, since it’s such a different region, but it was actually really good.

Doing a safari is already a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, but having the right team to organize it makes all the difference. At first, I hesitated about choosing Shenga since they are relatively new and didn’t have as many reviews as others. But the service Kelvin gave me during the quotation process was so outstanding that I decided to take the risk, and I am so glad I did, because it couldn’t have turned out any better.

Thank you, Kelvin and your entire team, for turning my dream trip into a dream come true!

Brilliant communication
5/5

We booked a family safari at Amboseli, Tsavo West and Taita Hills. The accommodation at Kibo Safari Camp and Severin Camp was beyond excellent. There was some communication regarding dates and type of accommodation; while booking, all of our changes were accommodated by Leisure Escapes. Our driver Duncan was very attentive and suggested different timings and waited patiently to watch the animals. We managed to see all the Big Five and more. Water and blankets were provided. Throughout the safari. We asked them to pick us up from Nairobi and drop us in Diani, which was a five-hour drive away from the last safari location, which they did with grace. Thank you for a brilliant experience.

The most organized, professional tour operators in recent past.
5/5

I was extremely excited for this trip as this was my first time going on a safari. My wife planned the whole trip and after a lot of research she came across Telly Africa. We felt it could have been a gamble as when you approach a smaller company one always hopes for the more personalized approach and not where you could be treated just as a number. How right we were! We cannot recommend Telly Africa highly enough. They ended up being exceptionally professional, extremely well priced, and always gave us that extra attention to make the entire experience truly special. William our main go to guy, was outstanding—well versed who was always available to respond to any queries. He made us feel very welcome, part of it all and we felt that our opinions mattered.

William and his business partner made a point to greet us personally at our hotel upon arrival and subsequently at the end of our journey. The level of personal attention was second to none and this made all the experience that extra special.

This trip was probably a once in a lifetime experience and the fact I could share it with my wife and children made it that extra special. William helped tailor the journey from beginning to end, combining tours in Arusha, unforgettable game drives through several national parks, and a relaxing finale in Zanzibar.

The organization was flawless. The accommodations exceeded our expectations, and the itinerary was perfectly planned—thoughtfully balancing activity with relaxation, and tailored to both adults and children. Discovering Telly Africa was a true blessing as the others did not match their level of commitment, personal service, or affordability. The other companies couldn’t even come close even at email level when we were still planning the whole idea.

Last but not least there were some super individuals that stood out in this trip. A special thanks goes to Aron, our game drive guide, who accompanied us through Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and the Serengeti. His extensive knowledge of the wildlife and environment was second to none, a true veteran, not only knew exactly where to go for the best sightings, but also taught us and explained meticoulously everything we were seeing. Also he was great with our boys aged 12 and 10, he made the journey so pleasant.

Joel, our driver and guide on the first and last days of the trip. His bright, warm personality made us feel instantly at ease in a foreign country. He felt like the friendly neighbour next door. He showed us lovely local spots and he too was excellent with kids.

These gentlemen engraved memories that will last for life.

I am a seasoned traveller but rarely do you come across a team that performs so well from beginning to end, and although I am not the one to usually jump at the first option of a travel agent, wow, were we so lucky to have found Telly Africa!

Thank you, William and the entire team at Telly Africa, from the bottom of our hearts! Memories for Life!

Excellent local Maasai tour: the big 5 in 5 hours
5/5

If you are looking for a well organised Kenyan organisation to book your safari tour with, we highly recommended this operator as all went smoothly, and we spotted the Big 5 in less than 5 hours!

We booked a private 4-day Maasai Mara Safari tour through Chris which we were able to customise it to our liking. We opted for 2 full days in the Maasai Mara park, and stayed at the Enkorok Mara Camp just outside the park.

Our driver and guide Robin, an experienced Maasai (10+ years of touring), was always on time for the pickup and eager to answer questions and talk about the animals or Maasai culture. Most importantly, he knew the park really well and allowed us to see so many animals with great angles for the pictures. Just with a single day would have been content, but we saw even more the second day and had time to also take pictures of the 'less impressive' animals.

Of course, this is a game drive. It is called a game because of the luck required to see the wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed, yet as with any game you can turn luck in your favour with the right skills and strategy. Robin definitely knows how to play the game!

Chris was also happy to help us with other inquiries we had in Kenya, such as booking the train.
