Disappointing - Would not recomend them to any of my friends.
2/5

Communication- Fair
Service- was pretty bad. they dont stick to the timings . On the day we were to leave from Nairobi to Masai Maara, we were quite appalled with the quality and cleanliness of the mini bus that we were driving to Masai Maara. When we were told that this would be the vehicle that we would go on the game drive , we politely refuse to take that vehicle considering the rough terrain that we would be covering as the Van was in really bad condition without propoer upholstery and bad seats.
when we insisted they had the vehicle changed to a slightly better one.
Day 1- Evening -on reaching MM ,our Tour guide (Fred) was not able to locate our lodge amidst the Savannahs and we aimlessly wandered for about an hour searching and then he decided that we would go on the game drive after which we will find the lodge.
Day-2 was the best day of the 3 day tour as we were on the game drive from morning to evening. Packed lunch was provided.
Day-3 : our schedule was to leave for another game drive from 630 to 830 am after which we were to drive back to Nairobi. However when the tour guide came to pick us up he said that there was some technical snag and the car battery was having problems. We hardly took off and the van stopped twice in the grasslands. We then suggested that he go to the mechanics available in the town to which he agreed and after a 40 mt drive we reached the place but none of them were available. it was already 820 by then and he quitely filled petrol and said that he suggests that we skip the drive as we would reach Niarobi only between 7pm-9m if we went for the drive. We agreed to that as we were a bit concerned about the Vehicle giving way in the middle of the Savannahs with animals around us.
Little did we know that this was a ploy by the tour operators as half way through on our way back to Nairobi , the guide stopped for lunch and after lunch he told us that there would be a change in plan and that we had to move into another car which was parked beside ours and that the passengers in that car would travel in the vehicle we came from MM and we would go to nairobi in their car.
at that point of time we actually wondered how could they take them on a game drive if the van had technical snags (stoppped at least 3 times in Masai Maara when we started the game drive)??
It was just a pretext used by these guys as they needed the car by noon to make the swap.

Overall - Althoguh i would want to visit MM again , i would not take another package with them as their service was quite disappointing and would not recomend them to any of my friends.

Not great
2/5

No hot water in the Chalet and nobody answers the " after hours" numbers to fix the problem. Not a lot of game sighted at all. Actually nothing sighted but the impala at the Chalet.

Terribile situation
1/5

We had a safari planned by ISIA from 22nd to 27th August. Four days before our leaving from Italy, the sales office emailed us to cancel our last bank transfer as the company was going bankruptcy.
Thereafter we emailed many times to them, to the Chairman of the company, to the Italian Embassy in Tanzania and to the Tanzania Tourism Board.
Till the day before our leaving the Chairman wrote that our safari was on and not to worry about that. We ourselves contacted the accomodations and many of them answered that no booking had been made for us by ISIA. Moreover we read recent reviews (now cancelled) on TripAdvisor of people whose safari was on in August telling that they had to pay for their accomodations and for park fees. At that point we decided not to leave to avoid to loose some more money.
The total amount we paid to ISIA for the safari was 4,600USD so we contacted a lawyer whose name was given us by the Italian Embassy to ask him to assist us to recover our money.

It was a great experience.
The Servicies of Dunas Safari was perfect.
They booked for us the Lodges and rent the car and everything we needed before and during our trip.
And they was "on life" during our hole trip giving us the support and knowledge that we answered.
We felt so secure all the time, we felt so comfortable and they built our trip in a great experience

Kilimanjaro and safari
5/5

We are to french guys and we use to walk in the Pyrénées
We wanted to climb Kilimanjaro
A friend of us had climbed one year before with Arrow trekkings and recommended us to be in touch with them.
Because of the top quality of our two guides, the kindness and the quality of all the packmen, this trip is an unforgettable moment.
And, discussing with others trekkers, we know we had more for less money
At the end of the trek, we had with Arrowtrekking a one day safari in Tarangire park. Excellent organization and the pleasure to see, very close, numerous elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, warthogs....

10 day budget safari, wonderful tour!
5/5

I'd like to thank all the team of Lion King Adventures to give me and my friends the possibility to live a great safari experience. We began this adventure with a low budget and many doubts, but Jamesi and Anna help us to plan a full and rich itinerary, from Arusha to Serengeti, passing through Tarangire Park, Manyara, Eyasi and Natron lakes, Ngorongoro crater and Kilimanjaro view. They had the patience and the kindness to reply quickly to all our questions before leaving, suggesting the best solutions and giving us good advices.
Once in Tanzania, from the first day Jamesi and his safari team, (the driver Anoki and two fantastic cookers Yousuf and Emmanuel), make us feel safe and at home. We lived all they promised: meeting with local people, nature immersion, walking and climbing. They were always friendly and nice but at the same time professional and careful. Finally, they will miss us during our final tour in Zanzibar.
I defenetly reccomend them ... asante sana to all of you!

We are planning to explore Kenya and Tanzania at cost effective rates. Once we started exploring the web, we got many options so we were confused with which option to go with. It was really a tough to choose a safari service provider in and around in Kenya and Tanzania.

We finally chose Drivetanzania only after reading many testimonials and customer reviews. Drivetanzania is a well-established and cost effective tour operator dedicated to providing the tourists with a memory making wildlife safari trips.

Its tours are all customized to suit the different requirements of the travelers. With the safari service provider, you can encounter wild life face to face with spectacular views and incredible beauty that offers tremendous diversity. Its travel experts clearly understand our needs and requirements and create tailored Kenya and Tanzania safaris to satiate our unique desires and interests.

I am extremely with the services I get from Drivetanzania. It managed our Budget Kenya and Tanzania Safaris with perfection. Its Tanzania safaris are the most exciting and rewarding holidays that we have experienced during the tour. It has managed us to see the colorful tribal peoples, dramatic landscapes, and interesting cultures of the region.

Now I am suggesting other to get associated with Drive Tanzania Ltd. For memorable and unique safari. Apart from cost effective, the company will ensure that you see the most exiting places and wild life of the region.

Thanks a lot Drivetanzania for making our trip outstanding.

Another Great Experience
5/5

Our second holiday in South Africa was unforgettable, almost better than the first one in 2016.
Darren is a very capable, proficient and skilled person: he took care of us in each instant of our vacation, allowing us to travel safely and peacefully from the beginning until the end.
As concerns our visits to the wineries (Wellington, Swartland, Worcester, Robertson, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek) the wine specialist of Compass Odyssey was very agreeable; we experienced a new way of visiting wineries by personalizing the visits and making a sort of friendship with every winery which received us. I would like to define these 3 days spent in visiting South African wineries as something really appreciable and in the same time very pleasant.
As for our safari, we requested to Darren to make a reservation in a luxury lodge and the lodge he chose for us was magnificent, like a great castle in a fairytale. We lived to the full our safari thanks to a very professional ranger who permitted us to see all the Big Five Game Animals (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino) more than once.
All in all, I would like to underline that I consider Compass Odyssey one of the best options to plan and to organize a travel in South Africa and Darren is a highly competent and professional person.

Amazing and educational walking safari in pristine area
5/5

I participated in 2 safaris on this (my first) trip to Africa. The Walking Stick Safari involved 4 nights at a very nicely set up tent camp on a small island near Chief's Island. Philimon picked me up at the airport in Maun and took me to my lodging for 1 night in Maun. The following morning, we took a beautiful boat trip to the bush camp. Philimon, BK (my guide) and Jo (the camp chef) were all very professional and competent. I traveled as a single female and within a couple of hours I felt right at home, perfectly safe and comfortable. Mornings and afternoons we would travel by mokoro or speed boat to a neighboring island and explore. They were very interested in helping me see the animals I was most interested in seeing. They were always aware of our surroundings and made safety a priority. I was thrilled to be able to see zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodile, hyenas, antelope and numerous birds. Elephants were quite numerous and it was a thrill to see a family of females attempt to cross the river with babies. Because this was a walking safari, the terrain was intact and the area was quiet. We only encountered one other tourist group during the entire 4 days I was there - and that was for a very brief period. BK and Philimon are very, very knowledgeable about the animals and plants and their interactions within the ecosystem and I was honored to be able to learn so much from them. They are born and raised in the delta and the experience they provided far exceeded my expectations. In comparison to the traditional safari I did subsequently at Machaba Camp, the Walking Stick Safari was so much more fun and authentic. I absolutely recommend Walking Stick Safari for anyone looking for a more peaceful, engaging, authentic and relatively inexpensive safari than what can be had at a typical lodge.
