Truly memorable family safari
Our 10 day overland RA Safari as a family of 5 adults from Nairobi, Kenya to Arusha, Tanzania through 5 national parks including the Masai Mara and Serengeti was truly fantastic. In preparing for our trip, Zeph the owner helped us plan a route and select accommodation to meet our needs. From start to finish, accommodation bookings, food, park entrance fees and all transport was taken care of. Our guides, Jeremiah in Kenya and Johnson in Tanzania were both excellent - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, really interesting to talk to as they shared their experiences and insights, and great drivers. With a vehicle to ourselves for the duration of the safari, we thoroughly enjoyed the family time, and to top it off the game sightings were spectacular! Although the drive between the Masai Mara and Serengeti was very long, we really enjoyed passing through local villages and getting a sense of life in Kenya and Tanzania. A hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, arranged by our guide, topped off an experience never to be forgotten. Thank you RA Safaris!

Tumfisu and Francis were incredible guides! They were very knowledgeable about all the animals
Wakanda went above and beyond our expectations! They maximized every minute of our tour and made sure we saw as much as possible. Our guides Tum and Francis were incredibly friendly and so good with the three kids over 8 days. The food made by our cook Dullah was healthy and delicious and met our groups dietary restrictions. We will miss them all dearly and will fondly cherish our memories with them.

Our trip to Kenya and Tanzania was absolutely incredible! The highlights were definitely Maasai Mara and Serengeti, where we saw an abundance of wildlife—lions, elephants, cheetahs, and even the Great Migration! Every game drive was exciting, thanks to our expert driver/guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, adjusting routes to maximize sightings and discussing the next day’s plan based on my interests.
The office team was also fantastic, checking in daily to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the trip stress-free.
Dosasha provided exceptional service from start to finish. I highly recommend them and will definitely choose them again on my next safari!

Family Leisure is wonderful in every way!
From first contact, we knew we were in good hands with Family Leisure. Wislay was super responsive and patient with the many (so many!) permutations we asked him to run until we settled on the perfect itinerary with the right price. Leading up to the trip, Wislay proactively reached out to help us prepare, from obtaining visas to assisting us in booking a local flight from the coast to Nairobi.
The proactive communication continued once we arrived in Kenya. Wisaly and Geoffrey had rides ready at the airport to take us to the hotel and met us personally to send us off on our safari the next day. They checked in throughout our trip to ensure all was well, and scrambled to make last-minute accommodations in Nairobi for us when our flight home was delayed by 11 hours. We never had to worry about any changes, knowing Wislay was already one step ahead to help us navigate through.
Every aspect of our 9-day safari was amazing, as well. Our driver, Lee, was a knowledgeable guide, easy-going company, and an all-around great guy. He was as expert in navigating the roads as he was in telling us about the animals and the parks. He gently kept us on schedule and was adept at reading our energy, knowing when to linger as we marveled over the sights and when to move us along to discover new ones. We couldn't have asked for a better guide!
In all, we hit Maasai Mara (lions! buffalo! hippos! cheetahs!), Lake Nakuru (rhinos!), Lake Naivasha (photographing eagles in flight and walking among giraffes!), Amboseli (elephants & Mount Kilimanjaro!), and Taita Hills (warthogs and hyenas!) finishing with a relaxing beach stay in Watamu. We saw new animals and sights at each stop and got a great sense of Kenya's diverse natural beauty. There's plenty to recommend each stop, though to me, Amboseli and Maasai Mara were the standouts.
Honestly, though, no matter what you choose to do, you can't go wrong with Family Leisure leading the way. They are detail-oriented in every aspect, from helping you choose the right itinerary, fitting it to your budget, and ensuring every aspect of your trip is well-organized and unforgettable. I can't recommend working with them highly enough! I hope we get to return to Kenya one day, and if we do, Geoffrey and Wislay will be our first call.

Beyond all expectations!
Truly the trip of a lifetime!!! From start to finish, the team made us feel completely cared for — warm, professional, and deeply knowledgeable. The owner even met us at both the start and end of our journey to make sure everything went smoothly.
We saw the Big Five and so much more — every game drive felt like a new adventure! Our guide was amazing at spotting animals and always made sure we got the perfect view (and photo!). He also shared stories and cultural insights that really brought everything to life.
The accommodations were stunning — right in the middle of nature yet incredibly comfortable. Falling asleep to the sounds of the Serengeti and waking up to its sunrise was pure magic.
We can’t recommend this company enough. Every moment was unforgettable, and we’ll treasure this experience forever! Thank you again :)

This was an AMAZING experience. The process of arranging the tour went super smoothly and was clear. They had great accommodation choices and even chose the best spots were you stop for breaks and lunch. A Last-Minute Plan That Turned Into a Dream Safari – Thank You,Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris & Gasper!
We reached out to Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris just one week before our trip, with a tight schedule and many questions. To our delight, Gasper responded quickly, kindly, and thoroughly. From airport transfers to accommodations and vehicle features, he provided everything we needed to make an informed decision in a short time — and that gave us great peace of mind.
Although our tour ended up joining with another company due to the small group size (we were only two people), the itinerary went exactly as promised. Gasper also stayed in touch during our journey to check on how everything was going — a thoughtful touch we truly appreciated.
The experience itself was unforgettable: we saw the Big 5, enjoyed three delicious hot meals each day, and stayed in lodges with hot showers, air conditioning, and comfortable beds — all of which exceeded our expectations.
We especially loved Tukaone Serengeti Camps inside the Serengeti National Park. Watching wildlife just outside the tent was magical. If we return, we’ll definitely plan to stay there longer — maybe with a private tour next time!
