The Best of the Best
Simply the best. From booking to planning to execution: Msangai does it all. Communication with Erick was quick and easy and he answered all my questions throughout the planning process. Our guide/driver Emmanuel met us at the airport and was a safari angel. He is so experienced and knowledgeable and it was evident that Emmanuel and Msangai are the best out there- from the expert driving, flexibility, knowledge, arranging accomodations and food (we saw first hand groups who had inexperienced driver/guides stuck on the side of the road). I can't rave about them enough. Don't even bother looking into other safari planners, just book Msangai and you are in good hands.

Premium first-class experience with thoughtful and knowledgeable guide (Freddy!)
Iconic Expeditions is a premium safari tour operator that made our honeymoon in Tanzania extra special and memorable. We experienced exceptional service (including the pre-trip communication), had a super knowledgeable and friendly guide (big shoutout to Freddy!!!), and felt comfortable and safe in our safari vehicle the whole time (Toyota Land Cruiser). We visited Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti over 6 days and had a phenomenal experience in each park, as well as while traveling between parks. Our guide, Freddy, is a really big reason why we had such a wonderful experience.
Freddy is reliable, has excellent suggestions for when to start and finish our safari trips (while also being flexible to our preferences), and is a very safe driver who knows how to navigate safely around the animals (while ensuring we always had a great angle for photos). Freddy shared insightful information on the parks and Tanzania in general, and was extremely attentive at all times, friendly and fun to be with.
We were genuinely sad saying goodbye to Freddy at the end of our safari - we couldn't recommend Freddy and Iconic Expeditions more highly.

Perfect Experience
We had a perfect three-day Safari trip with our tour guide Yasin. Yasin has an excellent driving skill. He was able to quickly find the animals we wanted to see while sticking to the principles of animal protection. The pick-up and drop-off were always on time, and the hotel environment was great. I would strongly recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris and our tour guide Yasin to everyone.

We had the most incredible 3-day safari experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!
From the very beginning, the communication with our coordinator Winnie was prompt, clear, and professional. She patiently answered all our questions, tailored the itinerary to our needs, and ensured everything was well-organized before our trip even began. Her attention to detail and responsiveness gave us a great sense of confidence.
And the real star of our journey was our tour guide and driver, Yasin. He was nothing short of phenomenal. Yasin is incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife, ecosystems, and local culture, and he shared his insights with passion and clarity. His driving skills were outstanding, navigating tough terrains with ease and keeping us safe and comfortable at all times.
What impressed us the most was Yasin’s extraordinary ability to spot animals, often from incredible distances, and his deep respect and love for nature and wildlife. He never rushed, always made sure we had time to enjoy each sighting, and handled every situation with calm expertise. You can tell he truly cares about his work and the animals he helps us see.

Lifetime experience
We loved our 4-days incredibile safari experience with Akondo. From magical accomodations to breathtaking places, it has been an incredible experience all the way from Tarangire to Serengeti passing by Ngorongoro and Manyara. Special thanks to Boris for the continuous support to arrange the trip and last but not least to our special guide, Zubery, for driving us through an amazing country and culture with happiness and wisdom. I cannot recommend more a safari with these guys!

Suggest to avoid below average agency with a bad driver
Local agency offered a fair price and booked good accommodation. However, their customer service and English communication were not very strong.
The main issue was our driver. He struggled to find good viewpoints and was not responsive during key moments. We went to see the river crossing, leaving at 6 a.m. and arriving on the spot first. However, when the crossing began, he parked in the wrong place (three times) and didn’t react in time—so we couldn’t see anything, despite having clearly stated that this was our top priority.
Throughout the safari, he often rushed us, especially when we were watching animals—despite this being the main reason for the trip. He always tried to bring us back to our hotel as soon as possible (always dropping us at around 3).
On one occasion, he misunderstood the phrase “why not” (we’re still unsure what he thought he heard) and suddenly became angry, yelled at us, and even suggested he might leave us behind—in the middle of the Serengeti. Although we explained several times that he had misheard and apologised regardless, the situation didn’t improve.
This incident, combined with the missed river crossing, left us feeling that the safari was a waste of money. We gave the minimum tip, though we felt even that was too generous, and he accepted it without saying thank you.
