Individual safari experiences in Tanzania
In July 2025, we fulfilled a long-held dream: we visited Tanzania and experienced a country full of fascinating nature, lovely people, and unusual sights.
Our safari took us to Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park. We will especially remember the overnight camping trips in the Serengeti!
We were very fortunate to have Alex as our guide. Alex proved to be not only a friendly and competent guide, but also a safe off-road driver with excellent local knowledge.
His colleagues also clearly appreciate his open nature – every encounter was characterized by warmth and compassion.
As a trained veterinarian, we felt Alex's love and respect for the animals every minute. This impressed us greatly.
Thanks to his excellent German language skills, we were able to learn a lot about the country, its people, and its nature.
Alex was always open to our individual requests and concerns and fulfilled them with joy and responsibility.

We spent 7 unforgettable days in Tanzania, with 5 full days dedicated to game drives across some of the country’s most iconic national parks—Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
We cannot thank Serengeti Camping Safari enough for curating such an incredible trip for us. From the moment we landed, everything was perfectly organized. We were warmly welcomed at the airport and felt taken care of every step of the way until our departure.
Anita, the founder, was instrumental in helping us craft our ideal itinerary. She was incredibly responsive and caring throughout the trip, always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. On the first day, she and her team met us in person to walk us through the plan in detail and ensure we felt confident and comfortable. On the final day, she met us again to check in and make sure everything had gone well—such a thoughtful gesture that truly stood out.
A special shoutout to Aron, our guide and driver, who quickly became a friend. His deep knowledge, captivating stories, and uncanny ability to spot animals from what felt like miles away turned every drive into a real-life nature documentary.
We were incredibly lucky to spot all of the Big 5—a cheetah family, a leopard pulling its prey up a tree, a pride of lions devouring a fresh kill, a lone black rhino in the distance, and massive buffalo herds. Beyond that, we saw countless elephants, a magical giraffe herd at sunset, zebras, wildebeests, ostriches, crocodiles, hyenas, and even the adorable Poomba!
The hot air balloon safari over Tarangire was a surreal, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We also had the chance to connect with the Maasai community—a humbling and enriching cultural experience.
If you're looking for a personalized, immersive, and truly unforgettable safari experience, we cannot recommend Serengeti Camping Safari enough. The warmth, professionalism, and heart of the entire team made this trip everything we hoped for—and more.

Customer service could have been better on the build up but the route itself was thoroughly planned.

2 nights 3 days at Maasai Mara game reserve-Satisfied!
Three groups from three different nationalities were managed with an A (if I was allowed to grade that :D).
My guests were picked from Kisumu all the way to Maasai Mara as agreed. Marcus even came all the way from his Nairobi office for briefing the guests in Kisumu before he traveled back to Nairobi the following day.
A wonderful manager, full of command, order, precision and all it takes to manage a big group.

Balaam (our main guide) and Fred went absolutely above and beyond to make sure my family and I had an experience that was nothing short of magical. They provided such a genuine level of knowledge, kindness, and personality that made the experience so much more than just a fun trip and into an adventure I will not forget. Amazing experience!!
We used Kenan Travel and Tours for our honeymoon trip and we are so glad we did! We were able to visit the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli, finishing our trip at Diani Beach. Kenan took care of everything. We originally decided to go with this company due to the itinerary they put together for us, their prompt responses via email, and the abundance of 5 star reviews. They were so easy to work with when planning our trip, making sure we had the best itinerary. They offered us 2 different hotel options for each location for us to choose from. When doing research on the hotels, I found that one offered a hippo breakfast and a romantic dinner. I asked Kenan about adding those to our trip, and they did so without a problem; we were also able to request a suite at one of the hotels that Kenan booked for us. They also helped answer all of my questions (I had many) between when we booked our trip last summer and when we went on our trip this July. They were super responsive via email, usually responding to me the next day. They shared information on what to pack, how to tip, and more.
When we arrived in Kenya, we were greeted by Jane who also met us at the end of our trip. All of our transfers were smooth and everyone we worked with was fantastic. Everything was a breeze working with Kenan! Our guide, George, was phenomenal! He has a great eye for spotting the animals and made sure we had the best opportunities to see the animals. George also took the time to teach us about Kenyan culture and answered every question we posed. We couldn't imagine our trip with any other guide!
Overall, we highly recommend anyone visiting Kenya to use Kenan for their trip. In my research, I did not find any itineraries as varied as the one we had with Kenan, being able to visit 4 distinct areas in Kenya during our 8-day trip. Communication was easy and smooth, and they were a delight to work with! Thank you, Kenan Travel and Tours!

Our experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris was simply unforgettable. From the very beginning, communication was clear, fast, and helpful. They ensured we were fully prepared and understood every part of the tour. The guide was phenomenal — incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife and very friendly, always making sure we were comfortable and engaged.
The highlight of the trip? We saw both the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) and the Special Five (gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and reticulated giraffe)! Truly a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience.
The itinerary was well-paced, the vehicle was comfortable and reliable, and the lodges they arranged were clean, scenic, and offered great service. Every part of the trip showed their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction.
