Professional, efficient, reliable, neat, customer care oriented and understanding
5/5

The operator kept to time schedules, was reliable, communicated any changes arising and the drivers were well informed advising the customers on various natural features, landmarks and their historical significance as well as information about the wildlife and the tour generally. To me and my family, it was really value for money and this was the second tour with this operator. The management went out of its way to meet our group's emerging requirements and for that we were very grateful.

Incredible first Safari experience - African Big Five - 3 Days in Serengeti, 1 Day in Ngorongoro
5/5

Okay, where do I start? This was one of the best experiences of our lives. The journey starts 3 months earlier when I got in touch with Kelvin from Meru Slopes, he helped a lot in planning this trip and kept in touch throughout our visa process (which in itself was a journey since Tanzania makes it difficult for Pakistani travelers to enter the country).

I discussed our itinerary with him a lot, shuffled the dates, and our destinations. We were supposed to go on a 4 day Safari to Tarangire(1), Serengeti(2) and Ngorongoro(1), but I changed it to 3 days in Serengeti and 1 day in Ngorongoro and I'm so glad I did this. An extra day in Serengeti was so much worth it.

Arriving in Kilimanjaro, we were picked up by our driver on time, Peus(hope I'm spelling it right) was great. He made amazing conversation and gave us a lot of information about Arusha and Tanzania in general. We really liked him and even requested Kelvin that Peus drives us back after the safari.

Since we took a rest day in Arusha before our safari, we were visited by Kelvin and Max (our guide), who briefed us about our safari and if we had any questions. Local Sim cards were also arranged for us with 4GB of internet, which lasted us our whole trip even after the safari.

Day 1: We started our journey around 6:30am and drove all the way to Serengeti through Ngorongoro. Around 1:30pm after lunch at Naabi gate, we started our afternoon game drive, man, what a day it was. We saw a huge pride of lions sleeping in the rocks, then we saw a huge herd of Cape Buffaloes, Wildebeest, then a Cheetah eating a freshly killed Gazelle. Then we saw another Cheetah up close a few miles away. Then a small herd of Elephants, and finally at the end of our game drive, Max found us a Leopard. Coming from Pakistan, where we have hiked a lot in the mountains and forests, I had never seen a Leopard, but this wish was fulfilled finally in Africa. Thanks to Max. We arrived at our accommodation in Central Serengeti, Heritage Luxury Camp which was a place out of heaven. We slept in the sounds of Hyenas and Lions and it really added to the thrill.

Day 2: We started our day with a early morning game drive, and saw lots of animals. Max managed to locate a huge pride of Lions for us and we spent a lot of time just driving through the endless plains of Serengeti, searching for animals. It was just amazing. We saw Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffes, Zebras, Ostrich, Pumbas (Warthog), A cheetah upclose, a herd of Elephants bathing in mud and water. Highlight of the day was seeing a newborn Giraffe baby with his mother. I also have to mention here how Max was so helpful when I got sick during the game drive (the usual stomach problems when you travel) and drove us to the tourist point where I spent some time until I felt better.

Day 3: Last day in Serengeti, we started early and drove through plains of Serengeti in search of a Leopard, but spotted a lot of other animals. Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Gazelles, different Antelopes, Baboons, Hippos, Hyenas, Ostrich, and in our final hour when we were on our way out of Serengeti, Max suddenly took a turn back and drove us to a spot where we looked on our left and to our disbelief, we saw a Black Rhino.

What a day, I never expected it but we completed our African Big Five on our third day in Serengeti. All thanks to our wonderful guide, Max.

After that, we drove to Ngorongoro, and stayed the night in Embalakai Camp, and this was a beautiful place. Enjoyed the stay there and then next morning at around 6am we drove to the Crater.

We were first in the crater and saw so much activity at that hour. Saw Lions, Elephants, Hippos, Wildebeest, and so many other animals. Max took us to far corners of the crater and made sure we had a great experience. We had our breakfast near a Hippo pool and then continued our game drive searching for different animals. All in all, it was an unbelievable experience.

In the afternoon, we started driving back to Arusha where Meru Slopes had arranged for us a complimentary stay at one of the hotels in the city. The safari had come to an end and we still couldn't come out of what we had experienced these past 4 days.

Thank you to everyone at Meru Slopes for giving us one of the best experiences of our lives. Special thanks to Max for being a wonderful companion on our journey. It was like he was a friend or family for us. We wish the whole team best of luck and we hope people of Tanzania keep protecting the wonderful places and animals who call it home. Best wishes from two wanderers from Pakistan.

The tour operator truly exceeded our expectations in every way.

Our Kilimanjaro Adventure – A Once in a Lifetime Experience

There were six of us on this journey, and with the incredible support of our team from T-One Tours and Safaris , we all reached the summit of Uhuru Peak. The mountain was absolutely breathtaking — moving through its different climate zones felt like traveling across several worlds in one. Kilimanjaro truly stole my heart.

This adventure was without a doubt the most difficult challenge I have ever faced, but also the most rewarding. It is an experience I will cherish for a lifetime.

What made the journey even more special was the team at “T-One Tours and Safaris”. From the guides to the porters, every single person was caring, kind, and endlessly encouraging. Their experience and professionalism went far beyond expectations. They anticipated our needs before we even realized them and ensured we always felt safe, supported, and motivated.

I cannot thank them enough — this achievement belongs as much to them as it does to us. If you are considering climbing Kilimanjaro, I highly recommend
“T-one Tours and Safaris”. With the right team, it is truly possible. And when you stand on the roof of Africa, you’ll realize it was all worth it.

Customer oriented and trying to provide the best service possible
5/5

I really enjoyed the 4 days safari trip that I booked with Moria Safaris, that included all the main highlights of the 3 big national parks in Tanzania. I had 2 driver for those 4 days, a chef and other supporting staff such as taxi driver to airport. Everyone was very friendly and polite and tried to provide their best services which made my experience very enjoyable!

Incredible Partners in Planning our Dream Trip to Africa
5/5

We have been back for two weeks, and the joy and awe our journey to Africa brought us has not faded. It had long been a dream of mine to travel to Africa, and the experience far exceeded every expectation. It was more beautiful, more meaningful, and more transformative than I could have imagined.

Every destination, every encounter, and every moment was remarkable. The Victoria Falls River Lodge was absolutely lovely—we could have happily stayed longer—and Victoria Falls itself was spectacular. Both The Peech in Johannesburg and The Twelve Apostles in Cape Town were exceptional, with warm hospitality and excellent service throughout. The team at The Peech went above and could not have been more gracious. Our guides at every stop were outstanding—deeply knowledgeable, attentive, and engaging.

Our highest praise, though, is reserved for Londolozi, which was, without question, the most extraordinary place we have ever stayed. The service was impeccable, the safari experience unforgettable, and our guide and tracker truly world-class. We quickly ran out of superlatives trying to describe it all.

Thank you, Clare, and everyone at Wild Wings, for turning a lifelong dream into a reality for me, my husband, and our friends. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. And you were right—Africa is now in my heart, and I know I’ll be back.

Amazing time with isa & his team in the delta
5/5

Isa and his crew are absolutely fantastic.
We spent 9 days exploring the delta with isa and had phenomenal sightings of lions/leopards/cheetah/ dogs and all the others along the way.
Isa is a fabulous guide with amazing knowledge and understanding of the animals and their behaviours, had amazing tracking skills and managed to find a pair of lions after tracking their spoor. He understands the animals and put us in the best positions possible to observe and photograph them.
His crew also are amazing, looked after us extremely well ensuring we were comfortable and well fed all the time.
Special thanks to these guys as that is a very important aspect of a camping trip also.
Must mention communication with isa was also excellent, answered my many questions promptly always and very good value too.
We loved our time in the delta and hopefully will return one day very soon as there really is no place anywhere in the world like it and it would definitely be with isa and extremely wild safaris once again
🥰

Amazing and tailored experience!
5/5

I contacted several agencies and I am really glad I found SOD. Erick, our guide was very responsive and helpful from the beginning. He designed an experience based on our interests and budget. We choose a 6 day tour with several game drives.
We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Karatu, and Materuni Village.
I was amazed at the number of animals we saw, very close as well. Erick was great to spot some animals and birds and very good at explaining everything about their behaviours. He answered all the questions we had. He graduated from university in tourism and wildlife conservation, so he has many insights and important information about the place and the animals. But also a real passion to share about his country and share the best energy!

The food and accomodation were very good as well. We chose the mid-range accomodation, the places were very comfortable. The lodge at the Serengeti was unique with beautiful sunsets. At Karatu we stayed at a monastery, were we felt very welcomed and it is nice to support the local community.

We visited the Masai and also the Chaga in Mataruni were they gave us delicious traditional food and made coffee from the bean to the cup.

There were plenty of snacks and drinks all of the 6 days. And we were also very happy with Justine our driver who was very good at driving and kept us safe. The roads are bumpy but the car was quite comfortable and it is nice to have a good driver and guide.

I could not recommend SOD enough! We leave with the most wonderful memories of Tanzania and we can't wait to travel again with them. Thanks again, Erick, Justine, Simon, Elizabeth and everyone who made our trip smooth and unforgettable.

The full experience on Okavango Delta
5/5

My first experience in Africa couldn't have been better with this team, I felt safe, had everything I needed and more. Comfort and good times were daily offered.
The guides had a deep knowledge of the terrain and the wildlife, we found every animal, even the less common ones, it's like they can feel them. Every question was answered satisfactorily, the anecdotes and stories by the fire at the camp were amazing, you couldn't get enough of them. The support team provided incredible food throughout all the tour and the accommodation was perfect to be safely in touch with the environment.
Would highly recommend this company for anyone who wants to explore Africa, even hesitating first timers! Budget friendly, ideal for families, friends, couples, suits everyone!

Bobu Africa makes commendable efforts to help its customers fulfill their safari aspirations.
5/5

Safari in Africa hinges on three crucial factors: the season, the guide, and a touch of luck. Bobu Africa boasts an experienced team, each with a deep-seated passion for animals. You can trust them implicitly to go above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction.

Masaai Mara is beautiful - book at least the 3 day tour
5/5

I booked the two day budget tour (starting and ending at Nairobi) and it was not enough time to experience Masaai Mara - highly recommend booking at least 3 days to get one full day safari in Masaai Mara. On the first day of the tour, we spent a long time waiting for the company to sort out the seating arrangements for everyone in each of the 4 x 4 land cruiser/van (there were three vehicles). We ended up in the van with a pop-up roof which was fine (but we were originally sitting in the 4 x 4). The ride to Masaai Mara was fine, we got there after a few hours and were able to have a fantastic evening safari (our driver was great!). Please note that we had a brief lunch stop (15 mins from memory) along the drive, it was not as per the itinerary where they said we'll have lunch at camp.
The next day, the morning safari ride was only 2 hours long because they said we have to be back at the main gate to switch to the van to go back to Nairobi. On the itinerary, it says drive back to camp for breakfast after the morning safari but we had to pack our bags in the van before the safari as we were not coming back to camp. After the safari, it took us at least 8 hrs to get back to Nairobi because we had to switch to 2 different vehicles (three all up), which was a giant time waster as we had to wait around (it took us 8 hrs from Masaai Mara to Nairobi).
We stayed at Miti Mingi Eco Camp, which was not great. The bathroom attached to the tent smelled and was not in the best condition. The roof of the bathroom was also not netted off so there were a lot of mosquitos in the bathroom waiting for us. The shower was also not great, the water was really hot so we could only shower with a trickle of water to avoid the scalding water. I'm glad we only booked for one night at that accommodation. I would suggest a mid range accommodation or the Jambo Mara lodge if possible. We have stayed at other permanent tented accommodations (e.g. near Kruger Park, Okavango Delta, etc) and the condition of Miti Mingi Eco Camp was the worst.
