5/5

Our 5-day safari with African Big Cats was outstanding and made even more special by our incredible guide, Zab. From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in the best hands. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about making our experience unforgettable. He wasn’t just aiming for “good” – he wanted everything to be excellent.

Zab had an unbelievable eye for spotting wildlife. While other vehicles drove past, he would stop and point out animals we never would have seen. He truly had eyes like a hawk. His warmth, humour and insight into both wildlife and local culture added so much to the trip.

On the first day, we stopped for lunch at a quiet, scenic spot with just the three of us, well away from the main crowds, and with a breathtaking view. It was a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the rest of the safari.

Everything was incredibly well organised. Communication with African Big Cats was brilliant from start to finish, and they even arranged a surprise birthday treat, which was a lovely gesture. The pre-safari briefing and the debrief helped everything feel smooth and added a personal touch.

Everywhere we stayed was exceptional. We came away with amazing memories and huge appreciation for Zab and the whole team. Highly recommended.

Extremely responsive and an absolute pleasure to work with!
4/5

I debated between a 4 and 5 star but ultimately went with 5.
The 5 stars part -
From the moment I reached out to Nsavi they were so very responsive and kind and warm and thoughtful. The whole planning and booking experience was high end from a service perspective. They helped us through every part of the journey. When we had trouble confirming flights from Kilimanjaro to Kigali, they stepped in and helped with Rwanda Air; when my mom broke her foot on the way to Tarusha we reached out and asked if they could get us a cushioned boot for my mom and when we arrived they had what we needed. The tour operators in Tanzania were thoughtful and extremely engaged. We felt they really wanted to provide a great experience for us. The operator in Kigali was very engaged, friendly, genuine. I truly cannot say enough great things about the people we were with day to day.

The 4 star part -
I wish they set our expectations about the conditions of the lodging, the Tanzania roads, and tipping. We chose the mid-range option for lodging based on reading reviews of the hotel options for both mid-range and high-end. We decided to go mid range because the Google ratings of the hotels were all about the same and the difference in price, for us, did not justify the potential for a better experience. The first hotel in Arusha, rated a 4.1 or 4.2 on Google, was very unpleasant. The sheets and towels were dirty. We were there to literally just sleepover and leave so we didn't ask to change any of that, and honestly, I'm not sure how much better new ones would be (we had 2 rooms and both had similar conditions). The other hotels were nicer but it was also extremely cold in the rooms. The hotel in Kigali did have hot water bottles and a space heater which felt like heaven!!!
We were there in July and based on Accuweather the temp was around low 60s in the evening but felt much much colder. We didn't expect it and weren't properly prepared for that.
The roads in Tanzania are mostly unpaved and extremely bumpy except for the highways. And while you don't think much of it, it's very impactful when you're traveling for hours and hours on those roads and then come back to a very cold unpleasant room. Again - not Nsavi's fault at all! I do wish they prepared us in some way for that. But now you will know :)
Finally, the tipping. Yes, in the tour docs it does give you a general expectation of what to tip. However, everywhere you go and everyone you encounter is expecting or asking for a tip. I wish we brought USD (or Euros) with us. We ended up going to the cash stations to take out money. That's the other thing - it's better for them to receive USD or Euros vs local currency. Again, a stronger "heads up" would have been great.

Perfect 7 days trip with Jocky, thank you for our guide:Hemfrid
5/5

We booked a 7-day, 6-page trip for a very good price.
- The reliable guide allowed us to see almost all the animals we wanted to see (cheetahs, leopards, lions, rhinos, etc.), and even explained the animals' preferences to us.
- The accommodations were also very good. One day, they assigned us the wrong tent, but the driver helped us negotiate a better room with the camp owner and was very attentive to our suggestions.
- We didn't ask for tips, but the driver was very responsible.

Wonderful Trip
5/5

We did the "11-Day Big-5 Uganda Tour" with Kajie Safaris. From the very beginning, Ronald provided excellent service. Everything was very clear and he made excellent suggestions. The tour was spectacular, with visits to major parks such as Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi Impenetrable. We loved all the parks and other places we visited. Our guide, Bob, was always very well accompanied, and he was kind, informative, and deeply knowledgeable. He definitely deserves a excellent. We also love Uganda, with its extremely friendly and kind people. If you're looking to go on safaris to experience wildlife, we highly recommend a visit to Uganda and Kajie, as they are an excellent company for that.

Helpful & Efficient
5/5

After reaching out to a few companies for quotes I ended up booking with this company. The reason I booked with them is because of how the interaction was with them from the start. They have excellent customer service. They made me feel welcomed to ask any questions, they were extrememly efficient and fast responding and they were super friendly! Most other companies made me feel like a number in a 'quotation line up' sort of thing.

So, I ended up booking a 4 day and 3 night budget safari in the Serengeti with them. Some weeks after booking I shared with them that my goal was to see the great migration. They went so above and beyond that they automatically switched me to a better tour that actually visits the north where the migration happens. THIS IS AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. And I am so happy to say I was lucky enough to witness the migration, and it was complete magic.

Our safari guide Nastory was also great. He was professional and friendly and timely. As well as the staff at all the overnight camps. They were unbelievably friendly and welcoming and someone was always around who spoke English. And lastly, the food! It absolutely exceeded my expectations throughout!

Highly recommend.

Asante Sana!!! 🤗

Small side note:
I will say the safari in the Serengeti itself kicked me in the butt a bit in terms of energy. Its full on days, significantly bumpy driving and large amounts of dust you're inhaling. Absolutely worth it -but I would have tried to prepare better for this. And now I know that, for me personally, 3-4 day safaris are the right amount of days for me at one go.

Very reliable and customer minded operator- Great experience!!!
5/5

I booked a four day safari in March and we made the trip in July. Every Time I had a question before the trip, Gasper answered me immediately and reassured me. Once arrived in Kilimanjaro airport, a driver waited for us and drove us to our hotel where Gasper was waiting for us to welcome us. I was again reassured… The next Morning, Gasper presented us our guide Hamza who showed us the 5 big cats. Hamza is a funny guy and an excellent guide. He did his best to give us a good time. We had excellent food during the safari and Gasper chose nice lodges for us. Once arrived in the lodge, Gasper asked us if our day went well and if we needed something. We spent four excellent days and once back in Arusha, Gasper spent some time with us before our very late flight back. I could not imagine a better tour operator!!!

MoAfrika Tours provided an AMAZING Safari experience!
5/5

I highly recommend booking a Safari experience of any kind with MoAfrika Tours.
I booked my full day Safari using Viator, and had zero issues from the booking to the end of the game drive.

The included pickup and drop-off drive was on time and smooth. Even though the pick up was early, we still had 15-20 minutes to grab food or other items at a rest stop, very helpful.

As for the actual game drive, Petrus, our Safari driver, provided a wonderful experience for everyone on the ride including myself. Very nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable! Huge shout out to Petrus of MoAfrika Tours.

The full day Safari cost approximately $320 USD for 2 people. Considering the Safari, pickup/dropoff, and included food, it was well worth the cost.

Nothing but good things to say!
