It was absolutely an unforgettable lifetime memories! We have collected all the BIG FIVE. My guide John, aka “John of the jungle” was the best. He took such a good care of all of us, and answer all my questions, from animals habits to Kenyan culture. He is friendly, humor, very easy to get along and also very handsome. Just loved his company.

5/5

Amazing experience and can’t wait for my next safari.
The entire trip was very well organised and communicated well from the team. The safari was beautiful! We managed to see all of the animals inc. lions, hippos, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and more. It was a great day.
Our guide Saloniki was very knowledgable and friendly and made the experience even better. He answered all of our questions and looked after us well.
Pick up and drop off were also very timely and organised which made the whole trip very easy with nothing to worry about.
Will be telling my friends and would definitely go again. Great value for money.

First time that felt like a life time
5/5

I joined a few friends to attend a safari for the first time, and Muzbag Safari was our vendor of choice. From the day I arrived in Uganda until my last day, they gave me an unforgettable experience.

I had originally come to the country for my friend’s wedding, but decided to add a safari trip to my itinerary. At first, I was a bit nervous as I didn’t know what to expect, but the Muzbag team quickly put me at ease with their professionalism.

They picked me up from the airport right on time, dropped me off at my Airbnb, and from that moment on, chaperoned me throughout my stay. On the day of our safari to Murchison Falls (our chosen destination), they arrived promptly, collected my other friends from their hotel, and we set off for a smooth and safe drive.

When we cautioned the driver about maintaining a steady speed, given the long distance to Murchison, he listened and adjusted accordingly. The accommodation they arranged was great, and the food was top-notch.

Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I would highly recommend Muzbag Safari to anyone planning a safari in Uganda. Truly a top-tier team!

Beyond our expectations!
5/5

I found Golden Rwanda Safari’s from reading reviews online. After contacting Frank, the owner, I just had a good feeling about this company. He had an initial package that combined Rwanda mountain gorillas with Kenyan safari’s (my dream trip). We planned the 12 day trip and Frank was so patient with me as I customized so many parts of it. We paid for the trip ahead of time to guarantee good hotel rates per Frank’s suggestion. As we got close to the trip, I worried a little if all would go well since no one I knew had used Golden Rwanda Safaris. I could not have been happier. We were met at the airport by our amazing Rwandan guide, Sufiane. He took care of us like we were family. We had beautiful hotel rooms (I think often the best rooms of the hotel) and a very comfortable truck. Sufiane always kept us informed of timing and sights we were seeing. Rwanda is so beautiful and seeing the Mountains Gorilla’s was beyond amazing.
We flew to Kenya and we were met by our Kenyan guide, David. Again, he treated us like family. He is so knowledgeable about the animals and could spot them so quickly. He kept us on track for all our safari’s and since it was just two of us with David, he would tailor the day to what we wanted to see. We had a comfy pop up roof truck that had windows you could easily close (to avoid dust). Our hotels were fantastic and it was hard to leave sometimes. The hospitality in Kenya and Rwanda is wonderful.

The cost of our trip was similar to many other tour companies. We had no added fees, whatsoever, when we were there. The customer service, communication and reliability of Golden Rwanda made this a trip of a lifetime. We were able to have dinner with Frank, which was really a personal touch and unexpected. We saw the Big 5 along with so many other animals and we were up close and personal with many of them. I would not hesitate to use Golden Rwanda Safaris again and I highly recommend them to anyone traveling to East Africa!!

7 Day Safari - meticulously planned and well executed
5/5

We explored and reached out to over 10 tour operators before deciding on Axis. What set them apart was their prompt communication, the clarity and thoroughness of their brochures, the variety of accommodation options, the reasonable pricing, and, most importantly, their impressive number of positive reviews and ratings.

We went on a 7-day safari tour that included a mix of mid-range and budget accommodations, covering Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, and Amboseli.

Our planning was supported by Phillip, who was incredibly enthusiastic, courteous, and always quick to respond to our calls and messages. He made the entire planning process smooth—from providing a detailed brochure and answering all our queries to guiding us through the payment process and assisting with pre-trip communication.

Food: As a strictly vegetarian couple, we were initially concerned about the availability of suitable meal options during the trip. However, Philip took care to inform all the hotels about our dietary preferences well in advance, and our guide, Peter, made sure to reiterate this at every stop. The hotel staff were very accommodating and consistently provided vegetarian options in the buffet breakfasts, dinners, and even in the packed lunches during game drives.
We also carried some ready-to-eat meals with us, which came in handy during certain parts of the journey. A special mention goes to the chef at Enkorok Safari Camp in Masai Mara, who prepared delicious Indian dishes that truly made us feel at home. Additionally, AA Lodge offered a good variety of vegetarian options at their buffet, including fresh salads, fruits, and flavorful Indian vegetarian dishes.
Chambal hotel in Naivasha was also accommodative of our request and had some good vegetarian options

We opted for a mix of budget and mid-range hotels throughout our safari.
At Enkorok Safari Camp in Masai Mara (2 nights), we had a truly memorable stay. The staff were incredibly courteous and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The property itself is beautiful—nestled in nature, with spacious rooms and a lovely sit-out area furnished with sofas. On our second day, we relaxed on the balcony after our game drive, sipping tea while watching the rain—an unforgettable moment. Although we couldn’t use the scenic swimming pool due to evening showers, it certainly added to the charm of the place. The staff were attentive and responsive to every request, and the camp is conveniently located just 10–15 minutes from the main gate.
In Nakuru, we stayed one night at Buraha Hotel (a budget choice). The room was decent for a short stay. However, we were advised by the hotel staff not to step out, especially after dark, which was a bit concerning given that it’s located in one of Kenya’s main cities.
Our next stop was Chambai Hotel in Naivasha (1 night), a small, no-frills hotel situated on the main road. The rooms were compact but comfortable for a brief stay. The staff was courteous and prompt, especially in accommodating our food preferences.
Finally, AA Lodge in Amboseli (2 nights) completely won us over. Surrounded by nature, it offered stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, especially at sunrise. The rooms were spacious and faced open landscapes, and we even spotted baby deer right outside our window in the morning. The staff were warm and attentive, and we enjoyed the pool area with a lovely tea-time snack—making this stay a highlight of our trip.

Guide and Safari Experience:
Our safari experience was absolutely incredible—we were fortunate to spot all of the Big Five, along with several rare sightings, making the journey truly unforgettable. We opted for the Land Cruiser, which added comfort and better visibility throughout the drives.
Our guide, Peter Kapino, was exceptional. His deep knowledge of wildlife, ability to anticipate animal behavior, and dedication to positioning us for the best views and camera shots made all the difference. He made sure we didn’t miss a thing.
In Masai Mara, on our very first evening game drive, we were thrilled to see a group of 5–6 female lions moving in a pack right next to our vehicle, followed by the majestic appearance of two male lions shortly after.
During our full-day game drive in Masai Mara, the sightings were nothing short of spectacular: we saw a cheetah right after a successful hunt, lionesses devouring their morning kill, a leopard, as well as zebras, giraffes, various antelope species, birds, water buffalo, crocodiles, hyenas, monkeys, hippos, and magnificent elephants. Although we didn’t catch the full Great Migration, Peter guided us to witness a mini-migration of wildebeest led by a zebra herd—an absolutely breathtaking moment.
In Lake Nakuru, we saw the rare Rothschild giraffe (only found in this park), along with pelicans, flamingos, a variety of bird species, both black and white rhinos, water buffalo, and baboons.
In Naivasha, we enjoyed a peaceful boat ride across the lake and a walking safari on the island. We spent nearly an hour on the water and then strolled (guided walking tour) among free-roaming giraffes, zebras, impalas (antelopes) and even spotted hippo families—an intimate and beautiful experience.
We also explored Hell’s Gate National Park, where we went on a short guided hike. The landscape was stunning, and we made our way through a gorge that led to natural hot spring.
Finally, in Amboseli, we spent a full day on a game drive. Despite the dusty terrain, the views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the abundance of wildlife made it more than worth it. We saw large herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species. One of the highlights was spotting six cheetahs feasting on a recent kill—their faces still red with blood. Later, we came across a pride of six lions, which was the perfect way to end the day.

We had an incredible Safari thanks to Axis.
