They held our hand the entire trip!
Lucy and Mr Sumpton himself and the 2 guides we had for our Kenya/Tanzania trip were all great. From the time we first reached out to inquire about a safari with Sumpton Safaris, until we got back home last week, Lucy has been there. She responded to all our email inquiries, she then met us at the airport (with Mr Sumpton) and took us to our first hotel, and gave us a brief overview (again - we had been very well informed prior as well). For the next 2 weeks, Lucy was available thru WhatsApp for any questions we had. There were a couple of changes made and she was very good about keeping us informed along the way.
Our guides Samuel (KE) and Japhet (TZ) were wonderful. They kept us entertained and showed us the most amazing sights! We were able to spot all the Big Five as well as many many more animals and birds. We saw a lot of 'real' Kenya and Tanzania on our drives between Masai Mara and the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Amboseli Park. The entire route was very well laid out.
It might have been better to have flown back to Nairobi from Arusha (we chose to drive) but only because there was such horrible traffic that day (no fault of Sumpton Safaris!) Miles and miles of container trucks lined up due to some problem or other. Our driver did his very best to get us back to Nairobi with plenty of time to spare.
I would highly recommend Sumpton Safaris - the lodging choices were all very good. I'd also recommend going in November! It was quiet and we got spoiled at the lodges. And all the animals were there just for us! It was a wonderful trip.

Amazing safari experience!
Our family’s 10-day adventure with Otter African Safaris was nothing short of unforgettable. Coming from Dubai, we were looking for a meaningful escape, something exciting, authentic, and truly different from our day-to-day life. Uganda delivered beyond our expectations, but it was Otter African Safaris that made the entire journey extraordinary.
From the moment we landed, everything was smooth, warm, and incredibly well-organised. Our guide felt more like a friend—knowledgeable, patient with the kids, and deeply passionate about wildlife and culture. Every day offered something new and breathtaking: lions lounging in the golden grasslands of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the power and elegance of elephants on the move, and quiet early mornings watching hippos slip beneath the river’s surface.
But nothing compared to the moment we trekked into Bwindi to meet the mountain gorillas. Standing just a few meters away from a silverback and his family is something our children will talk about for the rest of their lives. It was emotional, humbling, and absolutely worth the journey.
The lodges were comfortable, beautifully located, and perfect for families. Every place we stayed felt safe, welcoming, and full of character. The meals were delicious, and the kids loved the evening campfires and stargazing.
What really impressed us was how personal everything felt, Otter African Safaris didn’t just give us a safari; they gave us an experience crafted with care, local expertise, and genuine hospitality. Uganda is stunning, but seeing it through their eyes made all the difference.
If you’re thinking about a family adventure that combines wildlife, culture, comfort, and once-in-a-lifetime moments, we highly recommend Otter African Safaris. This trip has become part of our family’s story, and we can’t wait to come back!

Excellent experience
I took the 3-day exclusive fly-in safari package from Bavuma Wild Quest and it was the best experience of my life. I went to the Serengeti and Ngarongoro Crater and was amazed by the wildlife. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The accommodation was very comfortable and the food was amazing...

Best tour agency
We had an unforgettable Rwanda-Uganda road trip thanks to this incredible tour agency! From the very first email, Moses was exceptionally helpful and patient. He guided us through the entire planning process, helping us choose the right accommodations, crafting a smooth and well-balanced route, and even securing our gorilla trekking permits. No matter what questions we had about Rwanda or Uganda, Moses was always there with clear, honest, and thoughtful answers. His support made the preparation completely stress-free.
Once on the road, we were lucky to be accompanied by Chris, our tour guide in Queen Elizabeth National Park. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the wildlife and landscapes of the region. Chris spotted animals we would have never noticed on our own and shared fascinating insights about the park’s ecosystems, making the experience both exciting and educational. His nwarm personality made us feel safe and well cared for throughout.
To top it all off, after the tour we even went for a drink together—Moses, Chris, and us, making the whole experience feel even more personal and memorable.
The entire journey, from Rwanda’s rolling green hills to Uganda’s breathtaking savannah, was seamless, well-coordinated, and full of unforgettable moments. We couldn’t have asked for a better team or a better adventure.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a well-organized, personalized, and truly unique African tour.

Great experience
Because of low season I got arranged to a safari co-organized with Travel Africa but both operators worked well. The Porcupine family took good care of me as a young solo traveller and everything went smoothly. The safari experience was amazing and I would recommend doing it during low season.

Exceded Our Expectations
Thank you Bob for the fabulous time we had on our trip that we booked with Shuttle Hospitality. It far exceeded our expectations. The Mahogany Springs Lodge was superb and the staff there was so helpful and attentive to all of our needs. We were given a luxury suite which was truly amazing and totally unexpected.
I can’t say enough positive things about Francis. He was so kind, efficient, helpful, thoughtful and always willing to assist with anything we needed. He even gave us his jacket to wear when we were freezing cold and wet after the gorilla trek in pouring cold rain! That made all the difference in our comfort during the 2 hour ride back to the lodge after the trek. He is a kind man as well as a great driver on treacherous roads.
I would highly recommend The Shuttle Hospitality to anyone interested in booking an amazing experience in Uganda.
Sincerely,
Tina

Incredible safari adventure in Tanzania
Our family of 5 (3 teenagers, 2 parents) travelled to Tanzania for a 8 day safari visiting Arusha NP, Manyara NP, Tarangire NP, NgoroNgoro Crater and Serengeti NP. We also squeezed in a Bushman tour.
The organisation ahead of the trip from Emma and team was fantastic and we had the itinerary we hoped for. From the moment we arrived at Kilimanjaro airport to returning to Arusha we were so well looked after by our guide Salim and all the hosts where we stayed.
Some highlights for us were the walking safari in Arusha, elephant after elephant in Tarangire and just so much incredible scenery, landscapes and wildlife in the Serengeti. We really valued the amazing opportunities Salim took to follow some of the routes less travelled, to provide some more intimate and down to earth wildlife experiences. He was like another member of the family for the short time we travelled together and really connected with our kids and us, we loved the insight into life in Tanzania and hopefully he is still playing the card games he learned over that week!
Each of the accommodations were really excellent and really flexible with accommodating early departures and late arrivals when needed.
Any small challenges along the way were dealt with well and we really appreciated the communication from Sunset and the team in Tanzania. Would recommend to anyone travelling to this part of the world especially after seeing the range of all the safari operators - we were really pleased to be with Sunset and Feline.

Cuan planned and delivered an unforgettable African experience that exceeded expectations
We experienced 12 Safari days, in 3 different locations in Zambia, visited Victoria Falls and then moved on to Cape Town. Every aspect of the total experience far exceeded expectations.
All the Safari days provided unforgettable wildlife interactions. The 3 camps were great, and the scenery was spectacular.
The people, accommodation and food were all 6 star.
The guides were outstanding. They became our friends, on a very professional level, whilst passing on all their knowledge and experience.
The included tours in Cape Town targeted the 'must see locations" and was the perfect final section. That was capped off with a short visit to the Wine country before our return home
I congratulate Cuan and his whole team for providing my wife and I with the trip of a lifetime.

Flexible, efficient and professional
We had a great experience with safari goats. The main reason we decided to go with them was their flexibility to work with our budget and interests to curate a unique safari experience. We did the usual Serengeti and Ngorongoro, but also visited a Maasai tribe and did a wedding ceremony to renew our vows.
Our planners Chricensia and Edna and our guide Silas went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience.
My wife and I would love to come back in the future and bring our kids.
