Absolutely fabulous service - made our holiday perfect
Our holiday was phenomenal and Michele was fabulous. Her attention to detail, responsiveness and understanding of what we wanted from the trip was fantastic, helping us with additional suggestions and ideas to make things even better.
Unfortunately we needed to postpone our holiday due to a family bereavement and she was so accommodating and adaptable with the changes, making sure every detail was perfect. We also experienced some initial difficulties when we arrived (nothing to do with Indigo Safaris?) and Michele was able to support us with some additional changes that needed to be made.

We can only HIGHLY recommend this tour operator! From the very beginning, they were so accommodating to all our requests and we weren’t the easiest group: ages ranging from 35 to 70, two vegetarians, and even a birthday to celebrate during the trip. Every question we had was answered almost instantly with such kindness and professionalism, which already gave us great confidence before we even started.
Once the trip began, it was pure magic all the way! Our wonderful guide, Bertjan, picked us up at the Johannesburg airport and spent three unforgettable days with us. He struck the perfect balance of being highly professional and extremely knowledgeable, while also creating such a fun, relaxed vibe – making us laugh, teaching us so much, and making sure every single one of us enjoyed the journey to the fullest.
The safari camp Tangala which they organised was absolutely outstanding – everything we could have wished for and more. This was such a special family trip, and thanks to the care and effort of the team, every detail was perfect. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, made even more memorable by the warmth and professionalism of everyone involved.

Above and beyond all my dreams
Big shout out to my tour guide, James. His warm and passionate energy for sure was the key that made our Masai Mara trip unique and unforgettable. Not only did he make sure that everyone in the group was engaged and having fun, but he was fully committed to finding us our dream animals. One day on our way back to hotel, he turned around and drove an extra mile so to rush us to a leopard (very rare) that is on the opposite side of the park! Plus, don’t forget to mention that he’s a fantastic photographer and taught me how to shoot animal planet level photos with binoculars! Thank you sensei James. You’ll be missed!

Friendly and well experienced organization and a very good driver on the safari tour
We made a trip with seven people with three generations. Everybody of the seven were very impressed by the organization and the things we have seen. We started in the Kiboko Lodge and we visited the Watoto Foundation. Very good work is done in the Watoto foundation. They showed us that with very little things these young boys are well educated with some of them finishing university. At the Watoto foundation Astrid gave us a very good briefing of the things we could expect. After we visited Arusha National Parc and Arusha, we went to the Serengeti. This was very impressive and of course we saw the big five and a lot more animals. The arrangements in the tents were very good and every where we met very friendly people. In the night we heard the sound of lions and hyena's. After visiting Ngorongoro we went to the Maasai. All the overnight stays were booked and were more than we expected. a great compliment for GreenHippo travels. Especially for our driver Abel. We had great trust in him and he was a reliable person. At the end we flew to Zanzibar where we had a very nice stay in Stonetown and at the bounty beach in Dongwe. We were a little bit surprised that we need an extra insurance at the airport in Zanzibar. All over we can recommandate everyone HippoGreen Travels.

A fantastic company eager to meet your every need.
The whole experience with Leopard Orchid Safari’s from beginning to end has been fantastic. From my first call with Michael he gave me confidence he would plan a trip tailored to our interests and budget. Michael was then very helpful and responsive in the run up to our trip, answering questions and organising trains for us and it was evident he wanted to make the safari experience the best possible for us. We then had a lovely welcome at the start of the safari and introduction to Patrick our guide for eight days. Patrick was amazing in how he looked after us from the beginning to the end of the safari. We felt in safe hands and cared for and learned a huge amount about the amazing wildlife we saw as well as learning more about Kenya. He was determined to make our trip memorable and had genuine excitement about spotting animals and making our own discoveries in lesser frequented parts of the parks. His approach with everyone he dealt with was kind, respectful and fun which I am sure helps Leopard Orchid have a great reputation with all the lodges and guides they partner with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
