A once in a lifetime experience of amazing wildlife in beautiful Tanzania
Even though we are Egyptians, so practically speaking we live in Northeast Africa, this was our first time ever into the heart of Africa. In my search for a way to make a beautiful trip, I was blessed to meet Mr Laizer, the owner of "Lights on Africa", on the internet. Right from the start, he proved to be an extremely friendly and patient gentleman who knows his motherland by heart and has lots of passion for its extraordinary wildlife. He skillfully tailored an excellently structured trip to meet the needs of our family (My husband, my son and I). He was always seriously prompt in answering any of my many questions for planning the trip. He also made several suggestions which all proved to be worthwhile. One example is that he assured me that staying in a camp in Serengeti rather than a lodge is a must experience and so it was, so much so that we hoped the whole trip was spent in camps! Being nature photographers and conservationists, Mr Laizer knew we should be accompanied by a well informed guide so he chose Mr Huruma, who turned out to be an exceptional guide. Mr Huruma not only knows how to identify different species or understands animal behavior in rare depth, but also has a warm glowing heart towards nature and humanity. His companionship was utterly enjoyable and outstandingly informative. We visited with him the incredible plains of Serengeti, the beautiful Lake Manyara, the extraordinary crater of Ngorongoro, and the Baobab abundant Tarangire. He spotted with great ease mammals and birds at large distances, even when their cryptic colours hid them well, what an amazing ability! The lodges we stayed in were all excellent in service and food. The whole route was very well planned and the 4 wheel drive car facilitated our continuous clicking of the cameras! Nothing can put in words how fascinated the three of us were with the abundance of wildlife in Tanzania. I never thought we can see such a variety of habitats all in the northern part of the country. The warmth and kindness of Mr Laizer, Mr Huruma and all the Tanzanian people is so heartwarming and leaves a very strong imprint in our souls. We would like to express our deep gratitude for Mr Laizer, surely, the trip has exceeded all our expectations and has made us plan to return back as soon as we possibly can, God Willing.

A Fascinating and Memorable Week
Tanzania was absolutely fantastic!!! We were totally overwhelmed by the country's beauty and diversity and were well looked after, more importantly we felt safe which was one of our main concerns when visiting Africa for the first time. All the parks were great and the accommodation recommended by your staff was exactly what we wanted.

Maybe even better than Kenya?
We loved every moment of it and will be back to see some of Tanzania we didn't get to see this time around. All arrangements were spot on.

Excellent Tour Operator with Deep knowledge in Kenya
We were a group of 5 who booked our 4 night safari at Masai Mara with Asland Adventure Tours. The staff at Aslan, Anne and the driver Patrick were outstanding. Anne provided us with all the necessary details and answered our questions promptly and I would highly recommend this tour operator to anyone visiting Kenya. Our drive Patrick had a deep knowledge of the Masai Mara area and was able to show us so much wildlife. Having the right driver who knows the park is the key for a great experience.

“An exceptional safari company”
We've visited Tarangire, Ngorogoro Crater, Serengeti and Lake Manyara, we went and Monduli and enjoyed walking with maasai and my wife learnt to cook maasai food and kids learnt maasai words before ending with the trip in Zanzibar. It was a very well arranged trip! I reccomend this company to all.

Unprofessional & Liars
We booked a 10-day safari tour of the North including the main National Parks and a trekking from Empakai to Lake Natron. The very first day our rusty 4x4 had to be fixed. Ok. No problem. That happens. It was going to be fixed the same day. Next day we departed very late cause it had not been repaired. We arrive to campsite. Rain. Water seeped into our tents so our sleeping bags, mattresses got soaked... We complained and they were not changed until the 4th night!!! Meanwhile, more delays... We complained to the big boss (Mr. Nasoro - sorry if the spelling is wrong) for the delays. He'll do his best to solve it blah blah blah... Next day we arrive to Serengeti NP. Driver says he has not enough money to pay the entrance. Ok. Call your boss to solve it. He says that we have to pay ourselves. Same happen with Ngorongoro entrance. We spent more than 1 hour for the Boss to solve the problem. We paid. Later we found that it was intentional cause we have arranged with him that we will pay a little amount at the end of the trip. As you can imagine, that amount was exactly the money that we paid at Serengeti & Ngorongoro. So the thing is that we complain about the delays and the following days he creates a new problem that make us waste even more time. We were really furious. As for the trek, it was so badly organized that we had to pay to rescue part of their own stuff (cook, cooking material, etc...). We missed Lake Natron (the driver that had to pick us up to take us there was delayed..). We used some local guides for the trek. Really nice people. They were not getting paid by our staff. We almost had a fight so they got paid. They found the money to pay them miraculously. We did not trust them since we knew they were all liars. That last day, the Big Boss did not appear. He said he was in Dar. We complained about the money that we paid: the rescue of the staff, food expenses since cook and food were in the middle of nowhere... obviously he refused to pay us back. Not a single apologize. Later, the same staff, ashamed, told us that he was at home...
As you can see, we can't recommend this company. They made our trip a nightmare. Everyday there were delays and one lie after the other... And the way they treated the local guides was degrading.

Great service, excellent organisation and once in a lifetime experience!
We really enjoyed our safari trip with Flash Safaris to Serengeti, Ngorogoro, Tarengire and Arusha National Park. We spoke with Magda about our wishes and she gave us great advice about what parks to see. We even did a balloon safari over the Serengeti. Our guide was a former wildlife preservator from Serengeti and knew all the right spots to see animals (i.e. leopards; lions etc.) We had an amazing time and can recommend Flash Safaris to everyone!

Safari Planning Made Easy
My planning started a good eleven months before the trip. While I had the basic structure of the trip in mind, Willow from Planet Africa Safaris had many helpful recommendations and my dream trip was set to reality quickly. I was impressed on how fast she always responded to my every inquiry, as if my trip was the only one she was working on. The airline changed the international flight twice and each time Willow juggled many bookings to accommodate the new schedule. I was lucky that the airline did not change the schedule too wildly and, more importantly, I was lucky that Willow was the one orchestrating all the planning, bookings, flight schedule, and all the details I didn’t think of. On the trip, the logistics flowed smoothly as the Mara River flows and each stop offered new and different experiences: From bush experience at Rekero to solitude at Naboisho Conservancy, from equatorial forest canopy at Rubondo Island to the open plains at Namiri Plains. By the way, this was the second trip Planet Africa Safaris organised for me. And for my next Kenya and Tanzania trip, I will call Planet Africa Safaris, first and only.
